Chapter 36, a replica? Zhu Zhu looked up and scoffed...
Zhu Zhu raised her head, scoffed, and said in an icy tone, "Your son doesn't acknowledge you, so you pressured your daughter. Now your daughter is about to be pressured to death. Are you satisfied?"
The people in front of her were suddenly pushed aside by Zhu Zhu and staggered a few steps. Ning Buyi only felt a gust of wind pass by her and the girl ran away for her life.
The people at the door seemed to snap out of their daze. Zhu Guanghai clutched his chest, gasping for breath: "Unfilial daughter! What a terrible thing to do!"
"You heartless bastard, you even tried to harm your own brother! You're worse than an animal! Go to hell!" Images flashed through Ning Buyi's mind, and the old death warrant reappeared before his eyes, gradually merging with the shadow of the middle-aged man.
Ning Buyi shook his head, trying to dispel the malevolent illusion; he hated people like that the most.
He stood up and stepped out from the crowd.
"You rude old man! You're such an unfilial son! Does your mother know how you treat her granddaughter?"
Ning Buyi stepped forward and said again, "Disrespectful to elders, acting like an old man who abuses his age, arrogant and condescending—such an old thing is detestable!"
"In short! Shameless!" He leaned closer, saying it was all their fault for bullying Sister Zhu Zhu; they were all bad people!
After saying that, Ning Buyi also ran out, only then realizing how terrifying the two men in black beside him were.
After chasing him downstairs, he stood in front of the buildings and looked around, but he couldn't find Zhu Zhu anywhere.
He was so anxious that his toes were practically touching the ground. He gripped his phone and looked around blankly. Cold sweat poured down his face and was blown away by the wind as he ran. Where could Sister Zhu have gone?
Ning Buyi suddenly remembered that it was Zhu Yanhe who picked them up yesterday, and her brother Zhu Yanhe might know!
The boy's hand trembled slightly as he pressed the screen to dial Zhu Yanhe's number, which was answered quickly.
Zhu Yanhe was in a meeting when Ning Buyi's unusual phone call interrupted the entire meeting. He called a break and went outside to answer the phone.
"What's wrong?"
The boy's voice came from across the room, urgent and whistling through the air: "Sister Zhu has run away!"
Zhu Yan frowned slightly. Why were the two of them together again?
"Why?"
Ning Buyi held the phone, his lips close to the small hole at the bottom: "Because! Your dad is here!"
"His dad?" Zhu Yan felt something was wrong and went back to the meeting room to ask Zhu Zhu's boss, only to find that Zhu Zhu had already skipped work.
Where did she go?
Ning Buyi was extremely anxious. He had come to ask precisely because he didn't know. How could Zhu Yanhe be so unreliable!
"I don't know, I'm just asking you!"
Zhu Yanhe softened his tone helplessly: "Don't worry, where are you? I'll come find you."
He walked quickly and was already on his way to the underground parking lot. The meeting he was in was also switched to online document review.
Ning Buyi quickly gave an address and urged, "Zhu Yan, hurry up, what if Sister Zhu Zhu doesn't want to live anymore?"
Zhu Yanhe grunted in agreement. Although he knew Zhu Zhu would never commit suicide, anyone who dared to defy Ning Buyi's authority would now receive a harassment package from him.
The traffic lights changed again and again. Ning Buyi stood at the intersection, keeping a close eye on the pedestrians coming and going. What if there was a Sister Zhu among them?
When Zhu Yanhe parked his car on the side of the road, he saw a cat-eared maid wearing black stockings standing at the intersection looking around, and a man came up to chat her up.
The man suddenly put his arm around Ning Buyi's shoulder from behind: "Little brother, how much will it cost to play with your big brother?"
The damp, hot touch made him feel uncomfortable all over. He shrugged off the disgusting hand and replied, "Play with your second great-aunt's stinky feet."
I was already annoyed! It's all because Zhu Yanhe hasn't come yet!
The man wasn't annoyed by the insult. He gave him a lewd look and even sounded excited: "Don't put on airs dressed like that. I've got plenty of money."
Before he could retaliate, the man had already fallen to the ground. He turned around and saw Zhu Yanhe coldly retracting his leg, his tone fierce: "If it itches, go get it cut off. Get lost."
After saying that, he let the man fall to the ground, turned to the side, grabbed Ning Buyi's hand, and forcefully dragged him away.
Ning Buyi's hand was left with a red mark from being pulled so hard; Zhu Yanhe was too strong and it hurt him!
The man shoved him into the back seat, got into the driver's seat himself, stepped on the gas and the car sped off. Zhu Yan and Lu Lu had cold faces the whole time, while Ning Buyi rubbed his red wrists and pouted.
Why are you angry again?
"Have you forgotten what I said? You want to be fucked, don't you?" Zhu Yanhe's words were chilling.
What are you saying? What happened to him this time?
"I haven't forgotten, he's the one who stuck to me, you're blaming me!" Ning Buyi defended himself, saying it wasn't his fault!
Zhu Yanhe said, "You haven't been livestreaming these past few days, and you've been wearing women's clothing and fooling around with Zhu Zhu?"
This is completely unfounded!
Ning Buyi argued, "No, I didn't follow Sister Zhu! This is my job!"
Zhu Yanhe's face turned even darker, as black as the bottom of a pot.
Did he say something wrong again?
The man sneered and said sarcastically, "You're dating a girl but still getting so close to other girls? I didn't know you had such lofty ambitions."
Zhu Yanhe wanted to expose his account and show him the photos he had bought out.
"No! Sister Zhu is my older sister. I don't like Sister Zhu. I like my own older sister!" Ning Buyi waved his hand to clarify. This was really his job, why wouldn't Zhu Yanhe listen!
He noticed that the man holding the steering wheel looked a little better, and Ning Buyi breathed a sigh of relief. He wasn't a bad man; he only liked his sister!
The view outside the car window changed from tall buildings to an empty beach. Zhu Yanhe drove onto the coastal road and stopped midway.
Ning Buyi peered out the window. A figure sat on the empty beach. He exclaimed excitedly, "Zhu Yanhe! Sister Zhu Zhu is over there!"
Zhu Yanhe responded, and the two got out of the car and walked towards her on the fine sand.
As the distance gradually decreased, the girl on the beach suddenly stirred.
"Brother, don't come any closer. I don't want to see you right now."
Upon hearing this, Ning Buyi winked at him, signaling him to hurry up and leave, as she didn't want to see him.
He didn't care about Zhu Yan or Wu Yan, and turned to walk towards the car.
The sea breeze blew ashore, ruffling her hair, and the handprint hidden underneath could no longer be hidden.
The boy sat down beside her without saying a word, simply fiddling with the sand in front of him.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Zhu Zhu kept staring at the sea. Wasn't Jianjianbao supposed to be here to comfort her?
Ning Buyi slowly said "Oh," and explained, "Someone once taught me that if your friend is unhappy, you can just sit next to him without saying anything."
He forgot who taught him, but it's always worked perfectly!
Zhu Zhu's eyes crinkled as she listened: "I didn't expect you to look so silly, but you have such a clever little head."
Hey! He wasn't stupid to begin with, he's a genius!
Zhu Zhu lowered her head, letting her casually falling hair get covered in sand: "You cheeky little rascal, have I ever told you about my home?"
Ning Buyi shook his head and reached out to brush her fallen hair onto his arm so it wouldn't get dirty.
“I used to think I was an only child because I was the only child in my family until I was ten years old. But they were very strict with me, so strict that I had to be good at certain subjects. I could only stay in one area and couldn’t even move.”
As Zhu Zhu spoke, she drew a circle in the sand.
Ning Buyi listened quietly; he had always been raised in a free-range manner and didn't know how to comfort her.
“Then when I was ten, my parents brought me here. It wasn’t until I saw my brother that I realized my parents already had a child. I really like my brother because I don’t have many friends, so I love to stick with him.”
But Zhu Yanhe always turned her away. She didn't understand why, but when she secretly entered her brother's old toy room, everything changed.
At first, she thought it was just that her parents had high expectations for her. But her room was full of certificates and trophies, all of which her parents had asked her to get. They were pasted on the wall of her brother's room and stood on the bookshelf in his room.
She then realized why her parents' plans for her were always so precise, always molded her into a mold—it was to carve out a replica of her brother's mold.
In her memory, her brother never smiled, no matter when. Once, she had a fever in the middle of the night, and her parents were not home. It was her brother who called the family doctor, who stayed by her bedside.
In a daze, she asked her brother why he hated her so much. She still vividly remembers what her brother said back then.
"It's not dislike, it's hatred. Why did they not participate in my growth but give birth to you and give you love? Why did they not care when I was bullied and I had to fight my way out on my own? Why can they come back whenever they want and give me a little love whenever they want?"
"I hate you, and I hate your parents."
Her brother hates her, and he hates her parents too; he will never forgive them.
I will not forgive her.
Ning Buyi's heart trembled upon hearing this, and he slowly said, "Sister Zhu Zhu did nothing wrong."
Zhu Zhu Jie did nothing wrong, Zhu Yan He did nothing wrong either; it was their parents who were wrong!
Yes, she clearly did nothing wrong and shouldn't blame herself for it, but she still has to bear the pressure from her parents, which is like a heavy jack that makes it hard to breathe.
“Jianjianbao, did you think I was crazy back then?” Zhu Zhu asked him, turning her head to the side.
Ning Buyi straightened his back and patted his chest: "No way, I even scolded that stinky old man for you!"
Upon hearing this, Zhu Zhu was taken aback, then burst out laughing. Her outburst was the culmination of twenty years of forbearance, while her father had displayed his power for decades, only to be scolded by a child today.
Zhu Zhu asked curiously, "Really? How did you say that?"
Ning Buyi recreated the scene of talking about Zhu Guanghai in front of her, making Zhu Zhu burst into laughter.
"You're so talented, are you a genius?"
He nodded seriously: "I am a genius!"
Zhu Zhu composed herself. With Ning Buyi by her side, she felt relaxed. To hell with her father's rules and regulations! She was herself, and her father was still her wet nurse's son. She could go and complain to him later!
The girl stared at his rosy lips and suddenly said, "My dear, I want to kiss you."
It wasn't romantic attraction, but rather a strange urge to kiss.
Ning Buyi quickly leaned back and waved his hand, "No, Sister Zhu! I have a girlfriend."
He has a girlfriend now, so he can only kiss her!
