"Auntie, I'm just passing by. Can I come over and ask you for a glass of water?"
Tang Li's voice sounds sweet and charming, making people like her immediately.
The woman lowered her guard when she heard that it was a young girl.
"There's water in the kitchen, little girl, please go get it yourself. I'm blind and it's not convenient for me to serve you."
Tang Li responded softly, "Thank you, Auntie!"
She felt her heartbeat slow down.
The woman in front of me looked peaceful. Had she lost her memory?
Tang Li hesitated for a moment before tentatively asking, "Auntie, may I ask what your name is?"
The woman paused for a moment, then did not answer.
"Young lady, are you here for tourism or sketching? There is an ancient village nearby that art students often come to sketch."
The woman must have encountered those sketching students before, so she categorized Tang Li as one of them.
Tang Li explained, "No, I'm here to find someone, an aunt named Bai Jingyue, who is 54 years old this year."
As Tang Li spoke, she observed the changes in the woman's expression.
Sure enough, the woman's expression changed immediately upon hearing this, and her face became noticeably unnatural.
"I don't know the person you're talking about. You've come to the wrong place, haven't you?" The woman, leaning on her cane, was about to get up.

The woman stopped moving.

Tang Li felt a lump in her throat; the aged woman before her was indeed Bai Jingyue.
