Chapter 13: Fu Family's Joy of Helping Others

Gu Yanze lowered his eyes, and the sesame mole at the end of his right eye was clearly visible. When he opened his eyelids, his long eyelashes drew a handsome arc in the air.

"No."

Su Yanxi clearly felt her heart beating violently.

Pushing the door open and entering the room, her slender and graceful figure disappeared in Gu Yanze's eyes: "Brother, good night."

The next day was a rest day. Su Yanxi had planned to sleep until she woke up naturally. At ten o'clock, she heard the buzzing sound of a lawn mower coming from the garden.

This sudden noise, which was not part of the quiet morning, interrupted her lazy sleep.

Lying on her back on the bed, Su Yanxi's long dark tea-colored hair spread out on the sheets like a waterfall, and the hem of her gold velvet suspender pajamas piled on her snow-white thighs.

Getting out of bed, the hem of her nightgown fell smoothly down her slender, straight and smooth legs to her knees.

The V-neck and backless design clearly show off her good figure, with her alluring curves, skin as smooth as white porcelain, a back as thin as paper, a waist so thin that it can't be held in one hand, and big places where they should be big.

The meat grows obediently where it should grow.

Su Yanxi picked up a nightgown of the same color and wrapped it around herself, then walked downstairs in comfortable fluffy slippers.

When she arrived at the garden, she saw a group of workers holding tools, diligently cutting the lush flowers and plants.

Aunt Wang walked over to Su Yanxi and said, "Miss, the young master said he wants to remove all these flowers and plants and plant them with weeping jasmine and camellia. He even bought a lot of precious seeds from all over the country, saying that he wants to grow you the most beautiful weeping jasmine and camellia in the world."

Su Yanxi's eyes flickered.

A month ago, he said he would give her a bigger garden filled with weeping jasmine and camellia. She thought he was just saying it casually, but she didn't expect him to really do it for her.

"Has Brother Yan Ze gone to the company?"

Aunt Wang: "No, he's in the living room. The young master has been waiting for you, young lady."

Su Yanxi came to the living room and saw Gu Yanze wearing a luxurious dark gray suit and sitting at the table with a laptop in front of him. He was having a video conference with company executives.

His back was straight, his hair was styled into an exquisite and fashionable slicked back style, and he wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on his high nose bridge. He looked gentle, handsome, and had a noble temperament.

Su Yanxi walked towards him, and Gu Yanze, who had been staring at the computer screen, spoke in a cold voice.

"The spokesperson chosen by the marketing department doesn't meet my standards. Yuexibao's corporate culture is integrity, vitality, and efficiency. The female celebrity you chose has a history of tax evasion. Think carefully about whether this kind of person is compatible with our corporate culture."

"I understand if you're having trouble thinking, but I can't tolerate the fact that the water is 100 degrees Celsius. The Marketing Manager will submit your resignation report to the Human Resources Department tomorrow."

On the screen, a group of executives in suits lowered their heads and remained silent.

Gu Yanze: "Reselect a spokesperson for the company. Report the candidate to me before 9:00 AM on Monday. If time is tight, I'll work overtime."

With meetings and overtime work on weekends, executives are more resentful than ghosts.

The slaves in the Tang Dynasty: Yes; the slaves in the Qing Dynasty: Zha; the slaves in modern times: Got it, OK.

Gu Yanze: "Ten times the overtime pay."

The executives were all smiling happily. It’s just overtime. It’s no big deal. I’m willing to do it!

Closing the computer, Gu Yanze looked at Su Yanxi. The sharpness in his eyes behind the gold-rimmed glasses faded, revealing tenderness. "Yanyan, I went to Zhang's and queued up to buy you tuna and shrimp dumplings. Remember to eat them."

Su Yanxi nodded: "Brother, if you are busy, why don't you go to the company?"

Gu Yanze: "Today I will personally decorate a small garden for you and plant weeping jasmine and camellias."

Aunt Wang came over with a basket of tuna and shrimp dumplings. "Miss, look how much the young master cares about you. He drove an hour to Zhang's early in the morning just to buy you a serving of shrimp dumplings, and didn't even bring one for the old man."

Gu Nanchu walked out of the study: "Look, our Yan Ze is so filial."

Gu Yanze: "..."

Aunt Wang: “…”

Aunt Wang rubbed her hands vigorously on her apron and said, "Well, there's still soup brewing in the kitchen. I'll go check it out."

The almost fifty-year-old ran with the nimble pace of a rabbit and disappeared in a flash, leaving Gu Yanze alone to face Gu Nanchu.

Gu Yanze adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and said, "How about I go buy you some shrimp dumplings now?"

Gu Nanchu: "By the time you come back to buy it, I've already finished my lunch."

The old man rolled his eyes at Gu Yanze in dissatisfaction: "You know I like to eat shrimp dumplings, but you didn't bring me some. How did I end up with such a filial grandson like you?"

Su Yanxi divided the shrimp dumplings into two portions: "Grandpa, let's eat together. Brother Yanze bought too much, I can't finish it by myself."

The old man said: "I won't eat it. That damn boy didn't buy it for me. He doesn't care about me. I don't want to eat the shrimp dumplings he bought."

Su Yanxi picked up a shrimp dumpling and stuffed it into the old man's mouth. The rich and smooth fragrance filled his entire mouth.

Mr. Gu: "Ah, it smells so good!"

After breakfast, Su Yanxi went upstairs to change clothes.

When she returned to the first floor, through the spotless floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room, she saw Gu Yanze, who had changed into home clothes and was squatting on the ground turning the soil and planting flowers.

The golden sunlight shone on him through the mottled branches. The air was filled with the fragrance of earth and the scent of grass. His fingers, as slender as a jade fan, were covered with mud.

Su Yanxi walked to the garden, squatted beside Gu Yanze, and planted flowers and plants with him.

Su Yanxi had been squatting for too long, and when she stood up, her vision went dark, her feet were unstable, and she fell into the field where the flowers had just been planted.
