Chapter 28: One vs. Three
The next day, at 8 o'clock in the morning, Chu Qiao was covering himself with a quilt and meeting Zhou Gong.
The phone rang at an inopportune time. Chu Qiao jumped up like a robot, stood up straight, and answered the phone.
"Hello, who are you?"
After saying this, Chu Qiao finally came to his senses. This was not the guard team. There was no need to stand at ease or at attention.
Chu Qiao instantly deflated and collapsed on the bed.
"company?"
"dismiss?"
"OK."
Chu Qiao, who had become an unemployed vagrant, continued to sleep soundly. Finally, when the sun was high in the sky, he was awakened by a knock on the door.
Chu Qiao narrowed his eyes and asked, "Who?"
"Hello, your check-out time has arrived. Do you want to continue your stay?"
"No need, I'll do it right away." Chu Qiao jumped up from the bed, put on his clothes, packed his bag, washed his face, and ran downstairs to the second floor. It took him a total of 2 minutes.
After checking out, Chu Qiao found the nearest military hospital.
There are no pharmacies in Beidou Country, and all medicines are sold under the unified supervision of hospitals.
Chu Qiao planned to disinfect and change the dressing on his hands himself. The doctor would charge a treatment fee, and Chu Qiao had limited funds now, so he wanted to save as much as possible.
"Alcohol, cotton swabs, syringe, saline solution, gauze, aloe vera gel."
Chu Qiao finished reporting quickly and felt a pair of eyes staring at him from the side.
She pretended to look up at the medicine, glancing to the side.
A handsome man about 1.8 meters tall, looking a little familiar.
Chu Qiao shook his head. Since entering this world, he could count the number of men he had met on one hand. It was impossible for him not to remember them.
She shook her head secretly, took the medicine given by the nurse, and walked to the side of the road.
After removing the gauze from his left hand, Chu Qiao found that the originally red, swollen and festering area had healed a lot. He skillfully used a syringe to rinse it and then disinfected it with alcohol.
But when it was her left hand's turn to serve her right hand, her movements became clumsy.
"I'll take care of it." A deep male voice came from above his head. It was not a question, but an affirmation, with no room for doubt.
Chu Qiao looked up. Isn't this the man from before?
"I'll take care of it for you." The man said again.
Chu Qiao was not going to accept help from a stranger: "No, I can do it, thank you."
"My name is Lu Zhan. If I remember correctly, I was the one who treated your wound. This bag you're wearing now is not up to standard." Lu Zhan pointed at Chu Qiao's left hand.
Chu Qiao looked up at Lu Zhan carefully. His eyes and eyebrows were indeed a bit similar.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Lu, I didn't recognize you last time because you were wearing a mask."
"But why are you here? Aren't you in Nanyang?"
Lu Zhan: "I'm just a specially appointed employee there, and I go there occasionally for consultations. My official unit is here."
Chu Qiao nodded, but her hands didn't stop moving. She roughly wrapped her right hand and raised her hands: "It doesn't matter if it's a little ugly. No need to bother Mr. Lu."
Lu Zhan frowned. "Your bandage is so ugly, and the wound is not cleaned properly. I have obsessive-compulsive disorder, and it makes me feel sick."
He squatted down, grabbed Chu Qiao's arm, placed it on his knees, unwrapped her bandaged hand, picked up the syringe, and treated the pus and blood remaining in the crevices of her flesh.
"Virgo?"
"How do you know?"
Lu Zhan looked at her in surprise. She was a female man who loved wilderness survival and was also interested in astrology.
What he didn't know was that in the interstellar space where Chu Qiao lived before, there was no such thing as birthdays, only constellations.
Each zodiac sign has different characteristics. For example, Chu Qiao is an Aquarius, a typical Aquarius female character: opposing the secular world and not following the crowd.
Virgo men are perfectionists.
Chu Qiao instantly understood Lu Zhan and stopped resisting, because Virgo men are really stubborn.
Lu Zhan: "Alright, don't touch the water. Wait until your injuries are fully healed before attempting any more difficult challenges."
After saying this, he looked at Chu Qiao meaningfully.
"Thank you, Mr. Lu."
Lu Zhan took the changed gauze to the trash can and was about to throw it away.
At this time, three ruffian-looking men came from the alley next to the hospital.
One of the short men took out a photo from his trouser pocket and glanced at Chu Qiao with a squint: "Brother Qiang, Brother Feng, this is the woman, no doubt about it."
The two men named Brother Qiang and Brother Feng grabbed the photos, nodded to each other, and threw the photos away.
Brother Qiang: "Erhei, you were taking pictures nearby. I pinned a woman to death with just one finger."
As he spoke, he walked towards Chu Qiao.
"Girl, don't blame us brothers, we are also paid to do things."
Before Chu Qiao could ask for clarification, Brother Qiang rushed towards Chu Qiao with his fist raised.
Chu Qiao dodged, and his fist grazed her left ear. Chu Qiao raised the corner of his mouth, stretched out his left foot, and the man tripped and fell to the ground.
Seeing this, the man called Brother Feng also rushed forward, with his palm shaped like a knife, slashing towards her temples.
Chu Qiao leaned over and slid from beside the man to behind him like a water snake, and used the same method to chop at the other's solar plexus.
Brother Feng: "Little girl, you still have some tricks up your sleeve."
Chu Qiao clapped his hands and said lightly, "I'm just giving them a taste of their own medicine. Who sent you here anyway?"
The two men looked at each other in silence. One stretched out his left leg, the other stretched out his right leg, attacking from both sides, intending to knock Chu Qiao down.
Chu Qiao narrowed his eyes, stood up and jumped. This time he was not on the swaying boat. Chu Qiao jumped more than two meters high.
Lu Zhan was originally watching from the sidelines with peace of mind, but when he saw this scene, he turned his head to stare at Chu Qiao's expression. It didn't seem too strenuous to jump more than 2 meters on the spot. Top basketball players only have this much strength.
After Chu Qiao jumped up, he somersaulted in the air, head down, stretched out his hands, and grabbed a head with each hand.
"Bang--" Chu Qiao pushed hard in the middle, and the two men's heads collided with each other. Suddenly, two big bumps appeared on their foreheads, like unicorns.
Erhei, who was taking pictures on the side, saw that his big brothers were defeated, so he put his phone in his pocket and prepared to go forward to support them.
Lu Zhan had no intention of taking action, as Chu Qiao alone was enough.
But he had obsessive-compulsive disorder, and the gauze that Chu Qiao had just wrapped perfectly was already seeping out a red and yellow liquid, and it was unclear whether it was blood or pus.
The short man named Erhei went around behind Chu Qiao and tried to attack him from behind. Lu Zhan stood up, and before Erhei could touch the corner of Chu Qiao's clothes, he grabbed the man's collar, picked up the gauze that he had not yet thrown into the trash can, and tied him to the pole next to him.
"Hey, excuse me, I'm downstairs."
"Dean, I'll be there right away."
Lu Zhan left in a hurry, leaving a sentence in the air: "Remember to find me for bandaging in the neurology office on the third floor."
In the alley, Chu Qiao walked up to the two of them and wanted to ask what happened. She hadn't offended anyone.
She grabbed one of them by the collar and was about to ask a question...
"What, what?"
The fight had just ended when the patrolling police heard the noise.
There were three men and one woman on the battlefield. Two of the three men were lying on the ground, holding their heads and groaning, and one was tied to a pole.
"Fighting, huh? You're pretty impressive, beating three of them alone."
