Xu Tingyun is a warm-hearted person. This is evidenced by him offering a bag of super-spicy pickled chicken feet to Hua Songxu, a stranger who was driving while fatigued when the convenience store ran out of coffee.

Xu Tingyun offered it with both hands, saying, "It'll refresh your mind; it works." Hua Songxu glanced at the chapped skin on his hands and replied, "You keep it. Eat it wherever it hurts." Xu Tingyun was speechless. The outcome was that Xu Tingyun found a stick across his neck, which hurt quite a bit.

Hua Songxu is a cold-faced person. This is evidenced by her remaining expressionless even when forced to squeeze into a single tent with Xu Tingyun, a man she had only known for less than 24 hours, shoulder to shoulder and hand to hand.

She wiped the blood from her face and climbed towards the summit without hesitation. The wildness and tenacity she displayed at that moment miraculously lit up Xu Tingyun's dark life. He heard people call her A-Xu, saw her exclusive interview about summiting Mount Siguniang in "Wilderness" magazine, and silently followed her for eight years.

Later, Xu Tingyun was invited by "Wilderness" to photograph the snow peak where the mountain accident occurred. Passing a dilapidated gas station, he saw a woman dressed in outdoor gear. She seemed a little tired, but her proud and stubborn brows were unmistakable, and it inexplicably reminded him of the fleeting glimpse he once had.
