This first round of reforms to the Heavenly Court system mainly involves the system of immortal officials and the system of heavenly laws.
First of all, the immortal official system officially abolished the three grades of ninth grade, eighth grade and super grade, among which the system of righteous gods, the system of immortal officials and the system of heavenly generals were officially established.
Heavenly Gods: Heavenly Gods are below the Emperor and above the righteous gods. All gods with titles and positions in the Heavenly Court, the Star Gods of the Zhoutian, and those who dominate a region or live in the Heavenly Court or the celestial realm are all Heavenly Gods.
Orthodox gods: Those who hold power in a region, a department, or a government are all orthodox gods. Among the orthodox gods, there is only the difference in power and ability, and there is no distinction between high and low.
The gods currently tentatively include: Thunder God, Wind God, Rain God, Lightning God, Six Ding Gods, Six Jia Gods, Dharma Protector God, Rabbit God, Aunt God, Four Guardians, Flower God, City God, Kitchen God, Mountain God, Land God, Water God, Four Great Judges, Meng Po God, Ten Yin Marshals and so on.
Moreover, both the gods in heaven and the righteous gods can accept incense from the human world, and can also be called "incense gods". No matter whether they are gods in heaven or righteous gods, as long as they accept incense, they must protect all living beings.
Unlike the gods and righteous gods, the immortal officials cannot accept incense from the mortal world. After this reform, the immortal officials will serve as "officials of affairs", or in mortal terms, "clerks" who are specifically responsible for doing things.
Immortal officials do not accept incense from the human world, so they have no responsibility to protect living beings. They only need to do what they should do. If they encounter dangerous situations, they can go ahead and hide on their own.
But the gods in heaven and the righteous gods are different. Protecting all living beings is the unshirkable duty of the "gods". The higher the status and the greater the authority, the greater the responsibility.
Moreover, no matter whether they are celestial gods or righteous gods, they can have their own immortal officials and subordinates, and the ranks of their immortal officials and subordinates will be promoted and rewarded according to their merits. Of course, the righteous gods will first report the "merits" and then the Shenxiao Jade Palace will promote and reward them.
So after this reform, the land gods who were originally at the "bottom" found that they were suddenly "promoted" and became the superior people.
But before many land gods, mountain gods, and water gods could be happy, the Jade Palace of Divine Sky issued another decree, requiring all the gods who were originally immortal officials and were now "righteous gods" to be re-evaluated.
Those who passed the assessment would be retained as righteous gods and their cultivation and strength would be enhanced by the Heavenly Court. Those who failed the assessment would be transferred to the Immortal Official System and then be replaced by a new one from among the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals.
As for the heavenly generals, they are the same as the immortal officials, one civil and one military.
This time, uniform uniforms for gods and immortal officials were also stipulated:
All gods, when on duty or attending court, must wear the "purple Doushu divine robe", wear the "purple gold Suzaku crown" on their heads, and carry a sword.
All the gods, when on duty, attending court, or meeting the emperor, must wear a "big red Doushu divine robe", a "white jade qilin crown" on their heads, and carry a sword.
All immortal officials and heavenly generals below the first rank and above the third rank must wear a "red robe with a phoenix patch" when on duty, attending court, or meeting with the emperor. Immortal officials must wear a "Wenchang crown" and heavenly generals must wear a "Wuying crown", and all must carry swords.
All immortal officials and heavenly generals below the third rank and above the fifth rank must wear "green robes with tiger patches" when on duty, attending court, or meeting with the emperor. Immortal officials must wear "Wenyuan crowns" and heavenly generals must wear "Xuanwu crowns", and all must carry swords.
All immortal officials and heavenly generals below the fifth rank and above the seventh rank must wear "crane-patched green robes" when on duty, attending court, or meeting with the emperor. Immortal officials must wear "Jinxian crowns" and heavenly generals must wear "Xiezhi crowns", and all must carry swords.
At the same time, in addition to the Department of Thunder, two major departments will be established under the Divine Thunder Jade Palace: the Supervisory Department and the Heavenly Court Department.
After many years, the Heavenly Court returned to people's attention, but this time, Fang Jian could no longer be the Heavenly Court Judge.
The main responsibility of the Supervisory Department is to assist the Emperor of the Divine Thunder Jade Palace in supervising all gods and immortal officials in the Heavenly Court. Once a god or immortal official is suspected of violating the laws of heaven, the Supervisory Department has the right to investigate him.
The main responsibility of the Heavenly Court is to assist the Emperor of the Divine Thunder Jade Palace in supervising the implementation of all "Heavenly Laws" and to ensure the supervision of the "religious forces" in the three realms and the implementation of Heavenly Laws. It serves as the highest level and final departmental agency for the implementation of Heavenly Laws.
For example, if someone violates the laws of heaven, the "heaven" of the Nine Directions Great Thousand Worlds is the "first instance judgment."
Then the Ministry of Thunder is the "second instance judgment", and the Heavenly Court is the "final instance", and the approval of the Heavenly Law and the ultimate punishment is also completed by the Heavenly Court in assistance of the Emperor of the Divine Thunder Jade Palace.
This reform is huge, and it will be based on the next court meeting, so a major makeover has begun in the Heavenly Court.
And starting from the Four Emperors of Lingxiao and below, all departments of the Heavenly Court began to busy themselves with reforms.
At this time, an unexpected person came to Taisu Palace to meet Fang Jian.
At this time, Fang Jian was arranging matters in Taishi Xiandu. He summoned the four great celestial masters and ordered, "The Qilu Court will be abolished from today onwards, and its personnel and duties will be merged into the Divine Thunder Jade Palace Heavenly Court."
"I will obey the order." After receiving the imperial edict, the four great celestial masters immediately turned around and left the Dongzhen Palace.
At this moment, Hei Haier suddenly came to report: "Sir, the law enforcer Ji Zhen'e wants to see you."
"Ji Zhen'e?" Fang Jian was slightly startled, then he remembered that this was the new disciple of Taishang Laojun.
"Call her in." Fang Jian said, waving his sleeves.
Hei Haier nodded in response to the order, then walked out of Dongzhen Palace and summoned Ji Zhen'e in.
Ji Zhen'e, dressed in a light blue Taoist robe with clear patterns, plain shoes, a jade hairpin on her head, and with her hair tied up and her face clear, entered gracefully. She came to the center of the hall and bowed, saying, "Your servant, Ji Zhen'e, pays homage to the Emperor Hongqing."
Fang Jian held the divine green jade ruyi in his hand and looked at Ji Zhen'e calmly. "Ji Zhen'e, you came to see me. Is there something important?"
