Distributing flyers

Distributing flyers

A refreshing breeze blew in after the rain, and Meng Yan, dressed in new clothes, drew circle after circle in the sky.

After drifting for a long time, she finally stopped in a rather bustling town. Holding a thick stack of papers in her arms, she skipped and hopped onto the street.

She would give them to everyone she met, and if she saw couples or even groups, she would give them a couple more. After giving them out, she would not say much, but would smile, nod at the person, and walk away.

Passersby had never seen such a novel form of advertising before, and out of curiosity, they were all happy to take the paper and look at it carefully. Once they did, the surrounding chatter never stopped.

"A cooling ice furnace that freezes water upon contact with water, a versatile device with instructions on how to use it. If there's such a wonderful thing, then what were the hardships I endured over the past decade?"

"You have a good appetite. If you want to keep eating, go ahead. I'm going to enjoy myself first."

"This stuff is really good, but how do I buy it? Will you dream about it before you die?"

"Are your precious hands and eyes still alive? If they are still responsive, please turn this paper over and take a look."

The back of the paper clearly stated two ways to purchase: either send a letter and money to Ping An Valley, or sign and leave money here three days later to reserve the ice furnace. The completed ice furnaces will be sent to a nearby storage point, and you can pick them up with your reservation receipt. The production period is seven days.

From the question of Ping An Valley to the length of the construction period, and then to the truthfulness of the claims, the crowd erupted in a frenzy.

"Isn't Peace Valley a place where a bunch of cripples live? I think it's a complete scam!"

"Seven days to complete? Even the most skilled blacksmith in town would take at least half a month."

"The price isn't too high or too low, it's just right, we can afford it. They might be targeting us specifically!"

After discussing it, the crowd unanimously agreed that the girl handing out flyers all over the street must have been deceived. However, when they tried to find her again, they couldn't find a trace of her in such a large area.

How could Meng Yan, who had traveled halfway home, not know what they were thinking? These explanations could have been written on the back of the paper, but the senior sister in charge of writing the manuscript said it was unnecessary, saying that it would attract even more people.

Regardless of praise or criticism, as long as the voices are loud enough to be heard clearly, the truth is in our own hands; it just takes time for people to know.

.

A cool breeze blew against his forehead, and Meng Yan noticed something was wrong. He squinted and looked into the distance, where a dark cloud that looked like it could swallow a person whole was slowly moving in.

Thunder roared in her ears, and flashes of silver light appeared intermittently in the dark clouds. She frowned and lowered her flight altitude, barely hovering above the treetops.

She's here to promote her work, not to undergo tribulation and ascend to immortality. If she's going to be struck down, she should be struck down...

A figure in black, with a mouth that never stopped moving, flashed through her mind in an instant. She gave a disgusted snort, then resumed her expressionless journey.

The clouds moved quickly with the help of the wind, the surrounding light dimmed noticeably, the air was stuffy, and the thunder without rain made people even more irritable.

Occasionally, birds would flutter their wings and accompany her, but they would leave her when they reached the next grove of trees.

After the flock of birds dispersed, a single point in the forest was clearly visible in the sky. To Meng Yan, who was speeding along, that gray dot even appeared to be receding.

With another loud bang, Meng Yan piloted his mechanical kite towards the ground.

Sure enough, the tiny dot was a child. It was hard to see clearly from the sky, but you could see the colorful patches on her clothes when you got closer. It seemed that she had sensed the approaching thunderstorm and was running home with all her might.

Meng Yan landed the mechanical kite on the open ground in front of her, and waved to her from the driver's seat. The little girl seemed to have seen a savior, and her previously deflated steps started running again.

As she approached Meng Yan, the little girl suddenly slowed down. It was the first time she had ever seen such a large wooden bird, let alone one where a person could sit inside.

The dark, heavy clouds overhead seemed to be urging them on silently, and the leaves in some corner of the forest were already soaked by the rain, the pattering sound of the rain enveloping them.

Time was of the essence, and Meng Yan didn't want his newly changed clothes to get soaked along with him, so he simply picked up the little girl and put her in the seat. He pressed her two little hands against the side rail, slapped the talisman, and the mechanical kite looked up and left.

Before they could even adjust their altitude, raindrops were already pounding into the ground, turning the spot where the two had just been standing into a muddy mess. Fortunately, Meng Yan took off in time and was skilled enough that the huge mechanical kite didn't get wet at all.

"Wow!" The little girl and she together looked away, escaping from the light of day that was about to be completely swallowed up.

Perhaps the experience was too overwhelming, because the little girl swayed and stood up from her seat, trying to look down while supporting herself on the railing with both hands. When Meng Yan noticed, he immediately freed one hand and pulled her back into her seat.

The surrounding scenery passed by quickly; I caught a glimpse of its afterimage and it was gone in an instant.

Unable to appreciate the scenery, the little girl had no choice but to stay obediently in her seat. Sometimes she would gently tap on the small mechanisms around her, and sometimes she would stare blankly at the fleeting scenery. After a while, she seemed to get bored and then rested her chin on her hand, watching Meng Yan operate the machine attentively.

She felt that the large bird beneath her feet was moving slower, and sometimes she could even see the colors of the tail feathers of other birds. Meng Yan's movements seemed to confirm her discovery, as the mechanical kite was gradually approaching the ground.

The wooden bird that landed sprayed half of their faces with dust. The little girl closed her eyes, fanned herself, and coughed. When she opened her eyes again, there was a chubby boy about her age next to her.

The takeoff was familiar and smooth. The little girl took the initiative to explain the precautions to Meng Yan and left a space on the side rail for him to hold on to.

The two children quickly became friends, like two sparrows perched on each other's shoulders, chattering and laughing.

“I recognize you.” The little girl looked at the chubby boy’s clothes. She didn’t understand the patterns on the clothes, but they were obviously exaggerated and complicated. In comparison, her own clothes were very plain, with only a few embroidered flowers in the occasional places. Most people’s clothes were just as plain.

"You are the young master of a wealthy family in the city, but isn't the city very far away? How did you get here?" The girl brushed the dirt off his clothes.

"Dad brought me to visit a friend, but I got bored and ran off to play by myself. I didn't expect this forest to be so big, and I got lost." The chubby boy was sad for a moment, but then he adjusted his mood. "I've never seen you before! Your family has such an advanced mechanical bird, and a sister who operates it so well. This is the first time I've ever seen anything like it!"

The chubby boy patted the little girl on the shoulder, gave her a thumbs-up, and then gestured with his hands to show the spectacular sight of the mechanical kite suddenly landing in front of him and then rising into the sky again.

"Because this big bird doesn't belong to me, it belongs to this lady who's flying it. I'm the same as you, she picked me up along the way." Her eyes sparkled with admiration for the lady in the driver's seat. "The sky wasn't so overcast here yet. If she hadn't arrived in time, I'd be rolling around in the mud right now!"

As they were talking, a distant rumble of thunder startled the chubby boy, making him shudder.

"Where are you going? Will we fly into the clouds?"

The little girl thought about it seriously for a while, then shook her head and said she didn't know.

Listening to their back-and-forth conversation, Meng Yan, who was eager to go home, suddenly remembered that she had picked up the child on the way and that the home she wanted to go back to was not their home.

Fortunately, there was paper and pen left on the kite. She kept her composure and scribbled on the paper, "Where do you live?"

One said he didn't know, and the other said he forgot. After hearing this, Meng Yan coughed repeatedly because the wind choked him.

With heavy rain approaching, we had no choice but to take them all home.

As they crossed a small river, the two little sparrows behind them suddenly fell silent, then pointed to the ground at Meng Yan in unison: "Sister, there are people down there!"

Upon hearing the reminder, Meng Yan looked down and met the eyes of the person below.

The person was still wearing the same all-black outfit they wore last time. For some reason, Meng Yan looked down at her new clothes, and an eerie sense of harmony forced her to look away.

In the distance, there were billowing black clouds; nearby, a river rushed endlessly. Brother Apology stood between the two, as if he couldn't see them at all.

Meng Yan saw the smile that rose on his face, faster than her mechanical kite. The acceleration happened in an instant, and she dragged the two people and the bird away without looking back as she ran into the distance.

A voice that was all too familiar drifted on the wind, and even though it had been scattered by the wind, Meng Yan could still hear every word clearly.

"We meet again! It's going to rain. How about giving me a ride?"

We can't bring any more people, there's really no room left!

The mechanical kite also gave a silent reply, running faster than it had at full speed before.

.

An acquaintance came, an acquaintance passed by, an acquaintance left.

As Yue Lang watched the wooden bird and its owner on top fade from view, his waving hand gradually stopped, and the smile on his lips froze.

He didn't actually intend to ride with Meng Yan, and he knew she definitely wouldn't stop for him, but when she appeared in the sky, he couldn't help but want to call out to her. He couldn't explain why, maybe it was just more fun to tease her.

Getting caught in the rain wasn't exactly a daily occurrence for Yue Lang, but it wasn't a big deal either. Their line of work always required them to run around following the needs of their customers. He could tell when the sky was overcast, and he could guess how heavy or light the rain would be from the volume of thunder, but he never liked to carry an umbrella.

His master and fellow disciples had advised him many times since he was a child, and he would nod after serious reflection, only to forget about it the next time he went out.

Traveling far is already difficult enough, so don't add more burden to yourself.

Coming to his senses, Yue Lang continued walking aimlessly. The rain was bound to come eventually, and there was no way to avoid it, so it didn't matter which way he went.

The light overhead was quickly blocked, and he knew that dark clouds were approaching. As if possessed, he looked up.

Dark clouds did indeed envelop him, but the mechanical kite that had just soared across the sky was also trapped within their range.

Yue Lang was momentarily stunned, then jumped back. Sure enough, as soon as he dodged, something fell from where he had been standing. It was Meng Yan who had sent it from the sky.

"Thanks!" Although he didn't know what would cause the crater in the ground, Yue Lang replied to Meng Yan with a smile.

Unexpectedly, the person on top waved to him, and only after finishing the gesture did they drive away from the rainy area with their family.

After watching the girl, who was stubborn but soft-hearted, leave again, Yue Lang went forward and dug out the items she had left behind from the pit.
