Gu Lianzhou felt a fire burning in his chest when he thought of Shen Zhiyi not wearing shoes. He loosened his tie in frustration, picked up his phone, and made a call.
"Hello? Uncle Chen, has Zhiyi gone to the hospital?"
"No?"
His heart sank, but then he heard Uncle Chen say on the other end of the phone, "Young Master, there's something I must remind you of."
"I already know that you drugged the young lady."

I checked my watch and stepped into the rain, timing it perfectly.

Lin Youyin stood by the roadside, holding an umbrella and dragging her suitcase, waiting for a car.
She glanced at her watch anxiously.
