Chapter 147 Opening Ceremony 2

Deep within the riotous, fragrant flowerbed, Qi Na stood like a statue, completely unmoved by the surrounding beauty and aroma.

Her bright, slightly sharp eyes, like two beams of light piercing through the mist, were fixed intently on the figures of the Spirit Princess and Mandora. At this moment, a small drum seemed to be beating incessantly in her heart. With a hint of luck and nervousness, she slowly moved the Earth Spirit Orb in her hand towards the edge of her cloak, her careful manner as if she were handling the most precious treasure in the world.

The Earth Spirit Orb emitted a faint, ethereal glow, which, under the sunlight, seemed to dance like a lively sprite. Zina attempted to conceal the orb's radiance using the small shadow cast by her cloak, fearing that the light might inadvertently attract trouble.

Inside Zina's cloak, Feiling had already cast a spell, transforming herself into human size. Like a vigilant kitten, she lurked silently, her ears like sensitive radar, capturing every sound from outside, her eyes peering through the gaps in the cloak, observing the movements not far away, not missing a single detail.

The place where Princess Ling stood resembled a sacred and solemn ceremony. The Scales of Life and Death floated in the air, with the Ye Luoli warriors and fairies standing on one end, their expressions solemn, yet their eyes filled with determination. Princess Ling, graceful and elegant, her robes fluttering, tilted her head slightly, her lips parted, and her ethereal voice seemed to emanate from the heavens:

"Ye Luoli magic, light and shadow as form, fragrance as spirit, spirit as form." As the incantation was recited, a soft and dazzling light slowly rose from one end of the Life Scale, like a trickle of fairy power, and began to flow towards the broken and defective body of Xinling on the other end.

The scene of power being extracted was so vivid that even a distant glance conveyed the pain and hardship involved. Standing at a distance, Qi Na couldn't see the specific details clearly, but various horrific images involuntarily surfaced in her mind, and she felt a lingering worry for the Ye Luoli warriors.

Mandora wore her signature smug smile, a hint of malice in her eyes, and announced loudly, "The ceremony begins." Her voice echoed through the flowers, carrying a chillingly intimidating force.

Pang Zun strode forward, his strong physique radiating a powerful aura. His brows furrowed slightly, and he asked with a hint of doubt and worry:

"Can Fairy Xinling really be resurrected? Their combined power should be enough, right, Princess Ling?"

Du Xifei stood to the side, her beautiful face filled with anticipation. Her beautiful eyes were fixed on the Spirit Princess who was casting a spell in mid-air. Everyone else held their breath and watched this life-or-death "rescue" operation with unwavering focus.

"Infuse with the essence of the soul." The Spirit Princess's gaze never left Xinling, who was receiving power on the scales. Her eyes held both a glimmer of hope and an undisguised pity. She sighed softly, "Xinling is about to awaken, but can they bear the pain of having their life energy drained?"

Suddenly, Shu Yan, on one side of the scale, seemed to be struck by an invisible force. His body jolted violently, followed by an extremely painful cry that pierced the tranquil sky like the hooting of an owl. Immediately afterward, the immortal power within him, like a wild beast breaking free of its shackles, uncontrollably "exploded," transforming into dazzling beams of light that scattered in all directions.

Seeing this, Princess Ling was extremely anxious. She moved gracefully and instantly flew to Shu Yan's side. She stretched out her slender jade hand and used magic to examine Shu Yan's physical condition. She closed her eyes and carefully probed the disordered immortal power within his body.

After a thorough investigation, a look of astonishment and helplessness appeared on her face. It turned out that Shu Yan was a sinner against time and had an intricate connection with the Princess of Time. After a moment's thought, weighing the pros and cons, she decisively severed the absorption of Shu Yan's life energy.

Then, like a nimble butterfly, she flitted among the crowd, checking on the others. She saw that the fairies and warriors were all pale, their foreheads covered in sweat, and their bodies trembling slightly; clearly, they had all reached their limits.

Princess Ling was filled with worry. She slowly floated to the ground, her voice tinged with weakness and exhaustion: "We can't continue. Everyone has reached their limit." With that, she gently waved her hands, stopping the ongoing spell.

Seeing the spell abruptly end, a hint of displeasure flashed in Mandora's eyes. She stepped forward and asked, "How was it, Princess Ling?"

“They have reached their limit and we can no longer absorb their immortal power, but this power is still far from enough to awaken Fairy Xinling.” Princess Ling shook her head helplessly, her eyes full of disappointment.

Seeing this, Poisonous Lady Du Xifei slightly raised her head, a resolute look in her eyes. She stepped forward first and said, "I will contribute my strength." She waved her hands, and a thick poisonous mist rose from her palms, drifting towards the Life Scale.

Pang Zun and the Water Prince exchanged a glance, knowing full well the gravity of the matter, and followed without hesitation. Pang Zun gathered lightning power in his hands, the crackling lightning seeming to cheer him on;

The Water Prince gently raised his hand, and a stream of celestial power, like a clear spring, flowed from his fingertips. Yan Jue and the Light Fairy stood by, like guardian angels, quietly watching over him, ready to lend a helping hand without hesitation if necessary.

Mandora watched as those she wanted to involve all joined in, and she was secretly delighted. She lowered her voice and murmured to herself, "The ceremony is only now truly beginning." She quietly cast a spell with her left hand, and a beam of light shot out from her palm. It was the "little prop" she had prepared in advance that was quietly activated.
