Chen Sisi twirled merrily among the flowers, her skirt fluttering gently with her movements, like a butterfly in flight. The vibrant colors danced in the sea of flowers, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. She exclaimed repeatedly, "Wow, such a vast and beautiful sea of flowers!" Her clear, melodious voice echoed in the air like silver bells.
Jianpeng nimbly darted across the hillside, his energetic figure appearing and disappearing among the green trees. His target was the ripe fruit, and each leap and climb showcased his courage and agility. Beside him lay a pile of red and green fruit, like a treasure bestowed by nature.
Qi Na didn't particularly like Shu Yan, who was somewhat like a people-pleaser, so she simply looked down at the flowers, not responding to his words. Her eyes held a complex emotion, perhaps dissatisfaction with Shu Yan, or perhaps deep contemplation of her own inner world. She gazed silently at the flowers at her feet, as if engaging in a silent dialogue with them.
Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, Shu Yan began to admire the flowers, just like the others. He shook his head slightly, the helpless smile on his lips becoming more pronounced. He quietly appreciated the beautiful scenery around him, trying to blend himself into this tranquil and beautiful nature.
Everyone was focused on their own tasks, and an awkward atmosphere spread around them. Wang Mo finally finished making the various flower wreaths, which were exquisite and like works of art. She placed the wreaths on everyone around her, except for Jianpeng and Liangcai. Just as she was about to go find Jianpeng, she suddenly heard "Catch the muddlehead!" and before she finished speaking, a fruit was thrown straight at her.
Wang Mo was hungry, and seeing the bright red fruit flying towards her, she immediately grabbed it. She looked up at the tree and saw Jianpeng surrounded by a pile of red and green fruit. "Nature has so many delicious things to offer! These fruits are so big and red, they must be very sweet!" Jianpeng's loud voice instantly attracted everyone's attention, and they all came to the tree. After all, they were still growing, and after an afternoon of classes and running around, they were definitely hungry.
"Sisi, here's one for you too." Jianpeng tossed the fruit directly to Chen Sisi. "Are wild fruits edible? Are there any bugs in them? Should we wash them?" Chen Sisi immediately caught the greenish-red fruit, a hint of worry on her face.
Upon hearing Chen Sisi's words, Liangcai immediately flew to her and said, "Don't be so spoiled. A little dirt won't hurt you. There are no pesticides. Just wipe it off and you can eat it." After saying that, she pushed the fruit in Chen Sisi's hand.
Chen Sisi actually believed it. She quickly washed her hands and took a small bite. A look of surprise appeared on her face. She commented, "So sweet! Sweeter than the imported fruits my housekeeper buys!" Then she looked at Wang Mo and the others, her eyes filled with joy.
"Of course, naturally grown fruit is much sweeter than artificially cultivated fruit in greenhouses." The science whiz Shu Yan made another dazzling appearance, confidently stating his point while habitually adjusting his glasses. Qi Na didn't want to comment, while Fei Ling had already used magic to hide to the side and play on her phone.
"Hey everyone, stop chatting! I picked a ton of fruit, let's have a picnic!" Jianpeng jumped down from the tree, clutching the fruit, and squeezed into the crowd. His face beamed with excitement, as if this picnic party was the best idea in the world.
Zina stood there, looking around. Everyone was either standing or squatting, but there wasn't a suitable place to sit and rest. She frowned slightly and turned to Feiling, who was engrossed in playing on her phone, and said, "Feiling, look, there's nowhere to sit here. Can you use magic to conjure up cloth and a table?"
Fei Ling, engrossed in her phone, paused for a moment upon hearing Qi Na's words, then quickly reacted. She shoved her phone into her pocket, her eyes instantly brightening with focus. "Okay, watch this!" With that, Fei Ling gracefully flew a few meters into the air, stretching out her arms and chanting, "Ye Luoli magic, unveil the mystery!" As she spoke, a pink light bloomed like a dazzling firework, slowly descending. Where the light touched, a beautifully patterned red carpet magically appeared on the ground, along with an antique-style table and a delicate basket filled with fruit.
Jianpeng and the others were astonished by this amazing scene, their mouths agape. Jianpeng's eyes widened in disbelief, then he excitedly ran to the table, carefully placed the fruit in his basket, and exclaimed, "Fresh wild fruit! The picnic party has begun!" Wang Mo and the others were also infected by this sudden surprise, immediately grabbing water and gulping it down, as if all their fatigue had vanished. Qi Na, on the other hand, calmly took out a tissue from her bag, gently picked up a wild fruit, carefully wiped it with the tissue, and then took a small bite. The sweetness of the wild fruit instantly spread in her mouth, and Qi Na nodded in satisfaction; it was indeed very sweet. The others, seeing Qi Na's actions, felt it was a bit too meticulous, but they didn't say anything; after all, what's wrong with someone being a little clean?
Everyone sat around the table, happily eating wild berries and enjoying the wonderful time. Jianpeng, while munching on berries, recounted his thrilling experience of picking fruit on the hillside with great enthusiasm, making everyone laugh. Wang Mo, blushing, shared her amusing anecdotes about weaving flower wreaths in the flower field, her adorable appearance bringing smiles to everyone's faces. Chen Sisi ate her fruit elegantly, occasionally interjecting a few words, making the atmosphere even more cheerful. Shu Yan adjusted his glasses, smiling as he explained the nutritional value of various fruits to everyone, like a knowledgeable little teacher. Liangcai flew around nearby, chirping witty remarks, adding much joy to the picnic.
Soon, everyone was full. They lay contentedly on the ground, basking in the warm sunshine that gently bathed them—a comforting feeling. They gazed up at the beautiful blue sky, its clear blue like a giant, flawless gem. A gentle breeze carried the fragrant scent of flowers, making them feel as if they were in a dreamlike fairyland. Qi Na lay there leisurely when she suddenly remembered the time. She glanced at her watch and realized it was getting late.
She quickly sat up and said to the others, "It's getting late, I have to leave. Wang Mo, you must go home with the others, don't be alone. Feng Yinsha and his gang might use you and Luo Li again to threaten us into capturing Liang Cai and Fei Ling." As soon as Qi Na finished speaking, Jian Peng immediately volunteered to Wang Mo, saying, "Wang Mo, don't be afraid, I'll protect you. I'll take you home after school." Hearing Qi Na's words, Wang Mo felt a little resentful. Why was it that she and Luo Li, along with the others, might also be targeted by Feng Yinsha? Wang Mo only thought this to herself and didn't dare show it. She was as clever and weak as Chen Sisi and Shu Yan, and only needed someone to protect her.
Chen Sisi and Shu Yan exchanged a glance, thought for a moment, and then nodded in agreement. Afterwards, the group parted with reluctance, each embarking on their own journey home. Before leaving, Qi Na exchanged contact information with Chen Sisi and Shu Yan, but Wang Mo and Jian Peng, not having cell phones, had to give up.
