The students at Yunnan University are generally of high caliber, and the university library has always been kept relatively clean, with only a few scattered snack crumbs in some places, so cleaning it is not difficult.
Li Peiyu swept her left side, while Gu Yan swept her right side. Gu Yan, with his handsome face, kept throwing her flirtatious glances. Li Peiyu was so distressed that she wanted to cry.
The library opened at 2:30 p.m., and Li Peiyu had already cleaned all the places that needed cleaning. Then, with great excitement, she started tidying up Mr. Qian's cabinet.
When no one was paying attention, she secretly found Lu Yuzhi's graduation photo, carefully snapped a picture, and sent it to Lu Yuzhi.
Then he posted another message: Look, I found the young you.
While tidying up, a yellowed book suddenly caught Li Peiyu's eye. Upon closer inspection, the owner's name—Lu Yuzhi—was clearly written in the lower right corner of the title page, and the book's title was "Seaside Cottage".
With so many books in Mr. Qian's cabinet, he probably wouldn't even notice if one were missing.
Li Peiyu tried her best not to show any emotion. After tidying up the cabinet, she quietly stuffed "The Little House by the Sea" into her bag. Throughout the whole process, she felt as nervous as if she were doing something wrong.
Li Peiyu, feeling guilty, walked to the library entrance with her bag on her back. Suddenly, someone gently tapped her shoulder. Li Peiyu's heart tightened, and it began to pound violently, as if it were about to jump out of her throat.
"You didn't even call me before you left." A familiar voice came from behind; unsurprisingly, it was Gu Yan.
A hint of panic flashed across Li Peiyu's face, and she stammered, "Let's go, let's go."
Gu Yan said with a hint of mockery, "So scared?"
Li Peiyu composed herself and said, "I'm tired, I'm going back to my dorm to sleep for a while." Then she hurriedly walked away.
Gu Yan called out from behind, "Let's have dinner together tonight!"
Upon hearing this, Li Peiyu turned back, tossed the meal card in her hand to Gu Yan, and said bluntly, "Here, eat by yourself." With that, she turned and walked away without looking back, leaving Gu Yan standing there with the meal card, looking helpless.
Li Peiyu returned to her dormitory, nestled on her small bed, and quietly read Lu Yuzhi's book, which had been marked with red pen by Lu Yuzhi.
Li Peiyu casually copied a few sentences and sent them to Lu Yuzhi.
You'll realize later what this trip entailed. What you won't know is the role this trip played between us.
Lu Yuzhi replied shortly after:
When I first saw you, I didn't expect so much of your self to still exist, still be alive. It was an outpouring of emotion. That part of yourself that one dared not touch still existed, more vibrant than ever before.
Lu Yuzhi quoted the next line from Li Peiyu's poem.
A sweet feeling slowly spread through Li Peiyu's heart. She carefully read the books he had read in his youth. The books clearly bore his unique marks; the folds in the pages were perhaps left unintentionally, and there were faint traces of his fingers tracing them. It was as if she could see him engrossed in reading back then. Some faint notes were marks left by him when he was thinking. These marks carried his essence and past, stirring ripples in her heart.
This wonderful feeling was as if it were quietly overlapping with the time and space of his youth.
Li Peiyu then took a picture of the title page with Lu Yuzhi's name on it and sent it to him.
In the office, Lu Yuzhi sat quietly, his eyes fixed on his phone screen, filled with disbelief and surprise. He could hardly believe that Li Peiyu had actually found his graduation photo and the book that had been lost for so long. And now, she was actually reading his book attentively. This sight stirred up a complex mix of emotions within him.
For a moment, Lu Yu felt as if time had stopped, and all the past entanglements, pain, and regrets seemed to gradually fade away. It was as if, in this strange connection, he had found an opportunity to reconcile with the past, and all the troubles of the past seemed to begin to loosen.
Then a relieved smile gradually appeared on his face, and the emotions that had been suppressed in his heart for a long time were released at this moment.

Lu Yuzhi: Sweetie, I'll see you this weekend.
He always found it hard to control his domineering and wild side in front of her, which was bad for her health. He could barely manage to endure it once every three days.
Li Peiyu was very unhappy. Wait until the weekend? That would take several more days. Why not now? Are they that busy?
Just as Li Peiyu was muttering to herself, the dormitory door opened, and Tian Yuan and Lin Wanwan returned.
Tian Yuan saw Li Peiyu and said, "Peiyu, you're here! Let's go have barbecue tonight. Didn't you send me a big red envelope the other day?"
"OK."
Li Peiyu called Guo Jiahe back, and the four of them dressed up nicely and went out for barbecue.
The barbecue stall is located on the southwest corner of Yunnan University and is a favorite spot for Yunnan University students.
The air around the stall was thick with the aroma of cooking. A few simple tables and chairs were casually arranged, the red plastic stools standing out vividly under the lights. The grill sizzled and steamed, sending up plumes of enticing smoke. Various skewers were constantly being turned on the grill, releasing mouthwatering aromas. The stall owner skillfully sprinkled seasonings—chili powder, cumin powder—onto the grill.
After waiting for a while without the skewers arriving, Li Peiyu stood up and said, "I'll go and hurry them up."
Li Peiyu was walking forward when she inadvertently noticed a rather large puddle on the ground. Startled, she quickly tried to pull her foot back to avoid stepping in, but in that instant, she lost her balance and was about to fall awkwardly. Just then, a warm and strong hand reached out and steadily caught her.
