"What's wrong... Instructor?" Coco rubbed her eyes, pretending to be confused.
"You're awake. Do you feel unwell anywhere?" Qin Gucheng asked hurriedly when he saw that Coco was awake.
"No, I'm fine. By the way, instructor, why am I in the infirmary?" Coco looked around at her surroundings, a hint of confusion on her face.
Qin Gucheng sighed with some guilt, "You fainted just as we were about to start training, and then I carried you in."
I'm sorry I didn't notice your problem immediately.
"Ah! It's alright, it's alright, it's not your fault, instructor!" Coco hurriedly waved her hand, feeling a little more guilty at the same time.
"Hmm." Qin Gucheng nodded slightly. "The medical staff said that you haven't rested well. How about this, I'll give you an injection of glucose so you can get some rest."
After saying that, Qin Gucheng prepared to take a cotton swab and disinfect Coco's little hands.
"No need, no need!" Coco quickly withdrew her hand in fright. "I just feel a little dizzy, nothing else. I'll be fine after resting for a while."
Seeing this, Qin Gucheng nodded thoughtfully, stood up, and put the glucose he was holding back.
Coco breathed a sigh of relief.
But then Qin Gucheng brought over a bag of saline solution, saying, "Then you probably have heatstroke, here's some saline solution."
Coco's heart jumped again.
"No!" Just as Qin Gucheng was about to insert the needle, Coco suddenly shouted, and Qin Gucheng's hand stopped in mid-air.
"What's wrong?" Qin Gucheng looked at Keke with a puzzled expression.
Coco also noticed what had just happened, her cheeks visibly flushed, and her eyes darted around.
"Um, um, this... um, oh right, the instructor just said that if something happens to me, there will be one more person in this world that you've wronged. What does that mean?" Coco quickly changed the subject.
Qin Gucheng was somewhat surprised, "Weren't you dizzy at the time? How did you hear that?"
"Uh, I was almost awake then, and I only vaguely heard it," Coco replied indistinctly.
Fortunately, Qin Gucheng believed it without much thought.
He put down the syringe, sat on the bench, lowered his head, and looked downcast, as if recalling something painful.
“Because… I have someone I’ve wronged no matter what.” His words seemed to be conveyed through sadness rather than through sound.
Coco looked at Qin Gucheng and seemed to realize something. Just as she was about to speak, she saw Qin Gucheng shake his head.
"There's no point in saying all this. I'm not going to say anything more. You should rest by yourself." After saying that, he left without looking back, as if he didn't want Coco to see him about to cry.
Seeing the instructor leave, Coco had no choice but to lie down on the hospital bed.
Although I wasn't actually pricked with a needle, I still felt quite uncomfortable; it was probably a feeling of guilt.
Not only did she deceive the instructor, making a wasted trip to bring herself here, but she also stirred up the instructor's painful memories.
Coco buried her head in the blanket, feeling increasingly like she wasn't human. She stopped thinking about it and went to sleep.
As autumn arrives, falling leaves turn the earth golden, and time seems to fly by as quietly as the leaves on the trees.
Coco collapsed onto the bed, exhausted. After months of sun exposure, her skin had changed from snow-white to a slightly healthy wheat-yellow.
He looked much more energetic and healthier than when he first came in.
In contrast, Hera has hardly changed at all; she looks exactly the same as when she came in.
If I had to pinpoint any change, it would be that my eyes aren't as dull anymore.
"Sister Hera... could you help me take off my clothes? My whole body aches..." Coco, lying on the bed like a salted fish, looked at Hera, who had just finished showering and was about to go to sleep, and pleaded.
Hera, with her long, slightly damp hair, wearing a camouflage short-sleeved shirt and shorts, looked uniquely beautiful.
Seeing that Coco was asking him for help again, he went up to help her take off her clothes without any hesitation.
"Thank you, Hera! I'll wash your clothes for you again tomorrow." After saying that, Hera took off Coco's coat and thoughtfully covered her with a blanket.
After doing all this, Hera returned to her bed, lay down, covered herself with the blanket, turned off the light, and prepared to sleep.
Goodnight, Hera~
"good evening."
After saying that, Coco closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Hera closed her eyes and prepared to spend the night in a daze.
After closing her eyes and spacing out for about an hour, Hera suddenly smelled a strange odor wafting into the room.
After smelling this odor, Hera felt something was off about her brain, as if its activity had decreased.
However, this situation only lasted for less than half a minute before Hera's brain cells fully adapted and regained their activity.
Then Hera saw the dormitory door slowly open, and two female instructors wearing masks tiptoed in, like thieves.
After they came in, they first checked on Coco's condition. Seeing that she seemed to be fast asleep, they slowly dressed her, then gently lifted her up and placed her on a support frame to walk.
Shortly after they carried her away, a female instructor came over to check on Hera's condition.
Hera: ?_?
The female instructor stared in disbelief at Hera, whose eyes were wide open.
For a moment, they stared at each other blankly, the atmosphere incredibly awkward.
After a while, another female instructor came over. Seeing that the other woman was in a daze, she couldn't help but ask in a low voice,
"What are you daydreaming about? Hurry up and go..." He stopped mid-sentence and noticed Hera's wide-open eyes.
The air fell silent once again.
At this moment, Hera's mind was filled with nothing but question marks; she really couldn't figure out what these instructors were planning to do.
So he prepared to ask.
But as soon as she opened her mouth, the two instructors simultaneously made a slurred gesture, signaling Hera to shut up.
Hera obediently shut her mouth.
One of the instructors said, "Well, we're about to give you some special training. I don't know why you weren't drugged, but please cooperate."
After saying that, he reached into his pocket, but found nothing.
After a moment's thought, he took off his mask and put it over Hera's eyes.
"Just pretend you're still asleep, don't resist." After saying that, he dressed Hera, lifted her down and placed her on the support frame, then carried her away.
After being carried away, Hera felt as if she had been placed in one place for a while before being carried away again.
This time, it seemed like she was being carried into a vehicle. Hera could sense that there were other people around her besides herself, all of them new recruits.
Hera could tell from the sound that the car seemed to have started, followed by a slightly bumpy ride.
It took nearly five hours to finally stop.
