"Okay, I'll be there right away." Hearing that it was time to eat, Qiu Mengyun ran into the bathroom.
When she came out again, a sumptuous meal of five dishes and a soup was already laid on the table.
"This...you made all of these? You made such delicious food in such a short time?" Qiu Mengyun asked in surprise, looking at the brightly colored dishes on the table that looked very delicious.
Xia Tian smiled and nodded: "Well, the ingredients at home are limited, so I can only make some home-cooked dishes like this. I hope you can get used to it."
Qiu Mengyun looked at the dishes on the table again and asked uncertainly, "Why do these look like hometown dishes from our area? Can you cook Hangzhou dishes?"
Xia Tian smiled and said, "I know a little bit. But these are not all Hangzhou dishes. They are: Dongpo Pork, Longjing Shrimp, Braised Spring Bamboo Shoots, Braised Eggplant, Garlic Lettuce, and this Clam and Yellow Croaker Soup."
After listening to Xia Tian's introduction, Qiu Mengyun looked at him with admiration and said, "Wow! Xia Tian, how are you so amazing? Dongpo pork, Longjing shrimp, spring bamboo shoots, and clam and yellow croaker soup are all specialties from our place. I originally thought you could only make some homely dishes like scrambled eggs with tomatoes and stir-fried pork with chili peppers, but I didn't expect you to be such a good cook."
Being looked at with such admiration by a great beauty like Qiu Mengyun, Xia Tian felt a little dizzy and very comfortable in his heart.
Even though he was so happy, he still had a calm expression on his face and said, "It's nothing, just basic operation."
Qiu Mengyun asked curiously, "Aren't you from southern Henan? How do you know how to cook Hangzhou cuisine? Did you take a cooking course in school? But, as far as I remember, your Magic City University doesn't even have a cooking major!"
Xia Tian explained with a smile, "My grandfather taught me all this. When he was young, he traveled a lot. He was a foodie, so he ate as he went, and slowly learned to eat all the delicacies from all over the world."
"Wow! No wonder you are so outstanding, it turns out Grandpa Xia is so awesome!" Qiu Mengyun praised without reservation.
