Qiu Mengyun walked to the door and confirmed that it was indeed Li Lu standing outside, then she opened the door.
"You are really good at picking the time. You come not earlier or later, but just when we are about to have dinner." After opening the door, Qiu Mengyun began to complain dissatisfiedly.
Xia Tian and I had toiled for so long to prepare such a sumptuous meal. Yet, before she could even begin to enjoy it, Li Lu had arrived. She had subconsciously considered this meal the product of their combined efforts. As for what else she had done during the meal besides peeling garlic, she simply ignored it.
"Ah? You are preparing to eat? I told you to go out to eat together to celebrate Xia Tian joining our company today and his move to a new house today." Li Lu said in surprise after hearing Qiu Mengyun say that they were preparing to eat.
Qiu Mengyun curled her lips and said, "You really are a fool with good fortune. We haven't even started eating yet. Come in and eat with us!"
After entering the restaurant, Li Lu looked at the dishes on the table and asked in surprise, "Why did you two think of ordering takeout? Which hotel did you order this from? It looks delicious!"
Hearing Li Lu say that the dishes on the table were takeout, Qiu Mengyun was the first to disagree: "Humph! Who told you this was takeout? Xia Tian and I worked so hard to make this."
"You made it yourself? But I remember that you can't cook?" Li Lu looked at Qiu Mengyun with suspicion.
Being stared at by Li Lu like this, Qiu Mengyun said with a guilty conscience: "I can't cook, but I didn't say that I made these dishes. I just helped Xia Tian. These dishes were actually made by Xia Tian."
Xia Tian said, "Stop chatting, both of you. Sit down and let's eat and talk."
