Chapter 141 Princess of Nanzhao

Xu Qi nodded slightly from behind, and the guard then agreed.

Before Lin Xihe returned to Mu Ruoyan's room, she saw a woman dressed in red enter Mu Ruoyan's room with two maids.

The woman had a graceful figure, her skirt swayed gently in the wind, and she walked with a cheerful gait. The joy on her face was like that of a young girl in love going to see her beloved.

“Miss Lin, please go back later. This is Princess Lingxi of Nanzhao.” Xu Qi appeared beside Lin Xihe at some point and said in a low voice.

Lin Xihe's heart skipped a beat, and she immediately thought of the little princess of Nanzhao that Gu Qinghuai had just mentioned.

This expert in using Gu poison is now so openly entering Mu Ruoyan's bedroom, their relationship must be more than just a secret affair.

"What is her relationship with your Third Prince?" Lin Xihe looked at Xu Qi, her eyes full of inquiry.

“If you want to know, young lady, you should ask the Third Prince. I cannot speak ill of my master.” Xu Qi lowered his head respectfully, his tone sincere, without the slightest hint of overstepping his bounds.

Helpless, Lin Xihe could only hide in the shadows with Xu Qi and observe quietly, as the situation was unclear.

Not long after, the princess stormed out of the room, her face full of anger and her steps hurried.

"What's so great about it? I'm never coming again!" The princess's spoiled voice echoed in the courtyard, tinged with annoyance.

The maidservant trotted after her, saying, "Princess, please slow down."

"He doesn't want to see me, and I don't want to see him either!" the princess said angrily, and soon her figure disappeared outside the courtyard.

"Can I go back now?" Lin Xihe looked at Xu Qi, guessing that the little princess had been turned away.

After receiving Xu Qi's affirmative reply, she went into the room.

Inside the room, Mu Ruoyan was still in bed, leaning lazily against the headboard. When she saw Lin Xihe come in, a hint of surprise flashed across her face.

I'll assume you're reluctant to come back.

Mu Ruoyan's lips curled up slightly, her tone carrying a hint of teasing.

"If I had known I would disturb you while you were with your sweetheart, I would have come back later." Lin Xihe gave a fake smile and replied without showing any weakness.
