Lin Xihe felt a surge of anger rush to her head. She clenched her fists tightly, wanting to slap him hard, but she managed to suppress her anger and said, word by word, "Can I go see him?"
Mu Ruoyan gave Lin Xihe a deep look, feeling displeased.
After a night of pleasure with me, she was still so eager to see someone else, not even willing to pretend?

Gu Qinghuai was so weak that he collapsed to the ground and only slowly woke up after a while.
"Could you please make some food and pour some water?" Lin Xihe said to Xu Qi.
Just now, Mu Ruoyan instructed Xu Qi to follow Lin Xihe's arrangements. Although Xu Qi understood all the way that his Third Prince had been controlled by this woman, he did not say much and just nodded in agreement.
After Xu Qi left, Lin Xihe said to the other guards inside the room, "Get out."
Soon, only Lin Xihe and Gu Qinghuai remained in the secluded little house.
Lin Xihe looked at Gu Qinghuai, and for a moment she didn't know how to face him.
Gu Qinghuai leaned against the wall, looking at her with eyes full of heartache: "Xihe, you shouldn't have come."

Looking at the mottled marks on Lin Xihe's neck, Gu Qinghuai thought that Lin Xihe had been possessed by Mu Ruoyan for a long time. That deep sense of powerlessness almost drove him to collapse.
He would rather Lin Xihe be with Ji Zhuo than have her fall into such a predicament while trying to save him.

Gu Qinghuai took a deep breath. He knew this was not the time for sentimentality. Every day he remained imprisoned meant another day of torment for Lin Xihe. He saw and felt the pain in his heart at every sacrifice she had made for him.
“Xihe, I found Zhihao before, but before I could meet him, I was ambushed. Mu Ruoyan has been secretly in close contact with the little princess of Nanzhao. That little princess is a master of Gu and poison. If you see her, you must stay far away and you must not make any mistakes.”
"Where is my brother? Can I go find him?" A glimmer of hope flashed in Lin Xihe's eyes, and her voice trembled slightly.
"Wait a little longer, until I get out. There might be danger lurking around him too. You must protect yourself. No matter what happens, I only hope you can come back alive." Gu Qinghuai said, gripping Lin Xihe's hand tightly, unwilling to let go for a long time.
A short while later, Xu Qi returned with the food.
As soon as he stepped into the house, he saw Gu Qinghuai and Lin Xihe holding hands intimately. He was slightly taken aback, then coughed lightly, trying to interrupt their intimacy.
"Give me the food." Lin Xihe quickly let go of Gu Qinghuai's hand, got up and walked quickly to Xu Qi, taking the food box.
Upon opening it, I found congee and several delicate snacks inside.
Gu Qinghuai had been starving for who knows how long, and Lin Xihe felt sorry for him, so she urged him to eat a little of everything.
After Gu Qinghuai finished eating, he suddenly reached out and brushed the hair off Lin Xihe's neck.
"What is this?" Gu Qinghuai's voice suddenly rose, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes, a mixture of heartache and anger.
Lin Xihe immediately understood and cooperated with the scene, quickly covering her neck, dodging to the side, and showing a panicked expression on her face.
"You don't need to come anymore." Gu Qinghuai's tone was icy.
"Gu Qinghuai, didn't I do all this for you?" Lin Xihe's eyes reddened, her voice choked with sobs, and her aggrieved appearance would make anyone feel sorry for her.
"You know perfectly well that I can't accept this."
The pain in Gu Qinghuai's eyes was genuine, but his words of reproach were fake; it was all a performance to put on a good show of discord between the two in front of Xu Qi.
"Consider these past few months as repayment for the favors we've done. Even if you don't want to see me, I'll still come." After saying this, Lin Xihe pretended to be aggrieved, got up, and hurriedly left.
She left in a hurry, afraid that if she stayed any longer, Mu Ruoyan would seize on her and cause some trouble.
Lin Xihe walked to the door and then steadied herself before instructing the guards, "Don't tie him up, don't hurt him. I will personally deliver his daily food. Open the windows and let the room air out."
