Chapter 14 The Sacred Ghost (1/2)

"Eileen seemed to move slightly just now, her eyebrows furrowed a little."

"oh."

"Take a look, Fagha!"

"Okay, I understand."

So noisy!

Eileen frowned and slowly opened her eyes.

Ruby appeared vaguely in Eileen's field of vision, and when she looked to the side, she saw Fagia playing a game on her phone.

Ruby was overjoyed to see Ellen awake and exclaimed, "Ellen, you're finally awake!"

"Mmm, I'm awake. Stop rubbing against me, it's so hot!"

Ruby pounced on him immediately, and Eileen was momentarily at a loss, so she quickly pushed her away.

"Hmph, Eileen, really! I barely escaped death, and this is how you treat me!"

Ruby crossed her arms and sat back down, her face full of grievance.

"...hehe."

Eileen gave a wry smile, feeling lost and helpless, before turning her gaze away.

This is clearly the interior of a vehicle, with a white body, a blue stretcher, and a fairly spacious interior filled with the smell of disinfectant.

"ambulance?"

Eileen tilted her head, eager to know what had happened while she was asleep.

But since they could see the ambulance, Fagar must have finally defeated the Dead Man's Hunter.

How did he win?

Eileen had just woken up and was still a little dazed; it would take her some time to unearth those long-forgotten memories.

Slowly, she turned the pages of her memory...

I seem to remember that Fagga grabbed my shoulder and pulled me onto his body, then bit me.

It bit me!

Eileen's pupils constricted instantly, and she turned her head sharply, almost jumping up like a spring.

But a parasol pressed down on her thigh, and Eileen pushed her back down.

Fagar remained focused on his game, saying without turning his head, "Don't move around. You still have a needle in your hand. It would be troublesome if you moved and the needle got dislocated."

"I'm warning you, there are quite a few people affected by this hollow disaster, and there aren't enough medical staff. You might have to rely on me or Ruby to give you injections."

"If you don't want to be pricked like a hedgehog, you'd better behave yourself."

"oh."

Eileen responded obediently, her face still slightly flushed.

Even though she hadn't intentionally thought about it, she couldn't help but recall how Fagga had leaned in and bit her neck, the feeling of his warm breath on her collarbone was simply...

Snap!

Eileen slapped her cheek hard with her free hand, the crisp sound startling the two remaining people in the car.

Fagar even temporarily put down the game and turned his head to take a look.

His eyes seemed to be saying: What's wrong with this girl?

"Eileen?"

Similarly, Ruby tilted her head in confusion.

"Uh...it's nothing, it's just...Ruby, you know, this helps me stay clear-headed."

Eileen tried hard to find excuses for herself, her gaze darting away.

I glanced at the needle hole in my left hand, and looking up the IV tube, I saw an IV bottle filled with a clear liquid.

Eileen immediately found a topic to talk about and hurriedly asked, "So, what did you guys lose to me?"

“Glucose,” Fagar said succinctly.

"Hmm?"

Eileen nodded and sighed helplessly, "I thought it was something else."
