Just as footsteps sounded at the stairwell at the end of the corridor, a frantic figure suddenly darted out, wishing his parents had two more legs, and crawled out of the stairwell on all fours.
Everyone saw it—
His clothes were tattered and covered in blood, as if he had been thrown into a meat grinder, then into a pool of blood, and then fished out.
Soon, the blood-stained rebel finally saw his comrades. Overwhelmed with emotion, as if seeing his own family, he cried out in a raucous voice, "Save me! Help me, save me..."
Suddenly, the ragged rebel stopped shouting, his throat seemed to be blocked and he lost his strength. He looked down blankly and saw that his chest had been pierced by a blade.
The stark white blade reflected the light, and the tattered rebels watched helplessly as their eyes gradually lost their color, the boundaries of their vision were swallowed by darkness, until they could see nothing at all, and the world was nothing but coldness!
"As expected, they deliberately left one to lead the way, so we don't have to search for them one by one."
The blade was removed, and the corpse fell to the ground.
With a cold gaze sweeping over all the rebels around him, Fajar spoke in a low voice as he moved forward.
With a slight exertion of force in his palm, the blade immediately turned to the side, instantly igniting a mixture of purple and dark red flames. The human figures reflected on the side of the blade were all engulfed in the fire!
"Fire! Fire!"
Now, the rebels in the corridor no longer needed to wonder what had set off the alarm, because death was right in front of them. They all shouted at the top of their lungs, trying to drive away death with their guns!
Boom boom boom boom boom!
The sounds of gunfire were continuous, interspersed with the crisp, pleasant sound of grenades snapping, all turning into sparks as they greeted the unexpected intruders.
Fagar raised his eyebrows slightly, and in an instant, thousands of bullets rushed towards him. His ears were filled with a dense whistling sound, like the tinkling of the underworld, as if Meng Po was really beckoning from the other side of the river.
Above was the ceiling, to the left and right were walls, and there was no cover in front of or behind.
The rebels unleashed hundreds of kilograms of gunpowder in an instant, and Fagar, including his wings, muscles, and even his clothes, did not weigh that much.
Meng Po on the other side of the river laughed even harder, waving her hand eagerly, impatient to promote her soup to the young vampire.
But... that's not enough!
The next second, Fagar suddenly moved.
The slightest movement felt like an earthquake; the entire ground trembled, and all the rebel soldiers in the corridor lost their footing and staggered.
They could barely hold their guns steady, and just as they regained their footing by leaning against the wall, they heard a series of sharp, continuous sounds of knives slicing.
Looking up, I immediately saw a flash of fire streak across the sky, and bullets scattering everywhere!
The rebel comrades at the front of the line had all fallen to the ground amidst the flashing swords and fire!
Finally, someone realized what was happening and quickly turned around to shout:
"Quickly, sound the highest alert..."
Before he could finish speaking, everything went black.
Looking down, he saw that an ether crystal had pierced through his body.
Looking elsewhere, all the colleagues who hadn't died from the blades and flames were now pierced by the etheric crystals, their deaths bizarre and varied. A red river flowed beneath their feet, slowly overflowing their insteps.
In the final moments of his life, he heard a simple sentence spoken beside him.
"Don't worry, I'll press the level one alarm for you."
Fagga slowly walked past him and looked up at the wall not far away.
A red button is hidden under a transparent glass cover.
This must be what the rebels meant by the Level 1 alert.
Fagga rubbed his index finger and thumb together, and in no time, a tiny ether crystal appeared between his fingers. At first glance, it was only the size of an embroidery needle.
"After all, I don't want to look for people one by one."
With a casual toss, Fagar released the ether crystals.
It pierced through the glass cover and the red button in an instant.
The next moment, alarms blared.
