Ruby tilted her head and blinked, quietly hiding her phone. Before the woman could react, she stepped forward, took her hand, and smiled sweetly.
"Hello, sister. We're here to participate in the investigation of Void Zero. We heard that to participate in the investigation, we need to pass a qualification test beforehand. Can you do us a favor?"
The woman paused for a moment. Having spent so long in the army, she was still getting used to Ruby's outgoing personality. She nodded somewhat blankly and said, "Okay, please come with me."
With that, the woman led Fagar and his group into the Scott outpost.
On the way, the woman introduced herself: "My name is Chloe. If there are no unforeseen circumstances, I will be the examiner for your qualification assessment later."
“Now, I’m going to take you to the person in charge of this investigation, Ray, a researcher at the Whista Association. She will be responsible for arranging the specific content of your qualification assessment.”
Wow!
As soon as she finished speaking, Chloe lifted the curtain, stood very politely to the side, and waved her hand, saying, "Please come in."
Ruby blinked and stepped inside.
Eileen cautiously surveyed her surroundings, subconsciously lowering the giant scissors she had been carrying on her shoulder, gripping the hilt tightly, and subtly protecting Ruby.
Fagga, however, deliberately lingered a step behind, folding up his parasol in front of Chloe, then bowing slightly and seemingly politely saying to Chloe, "Thank you."
In reality, he deliberately stayed at the back of the group to keep watch.
From the moment they got off the bus, Ellen and Fagga automatically went into action, prioritizing Ruby's safety above all else.
But Klöf didn't notice. She just thought the boy who deliberately lagged behind in the line was quite polite, and without thinking much of it, she went in with Fagga.
This was a small room, but it was filled with many sophisticated instruments. The monitoring equipment hanging on the wall released many of the movements of the skeletons, including some skeletons that were even more powerful than the Dead Road Butcher.
There weren't many permanent staff here, only three people, each focused on their own work and unwilling to look up. Even when the curtain was lifted, adding a bit of light to the dark room, it didn't attract their attention.
However, after pausing for a moment, he immediately resumed his focused work.
Without saying much, Klose quickly walked to the front of the line and led Fag and his group to a tall woman wearing glasses whose gaze was fixed on an electronic screen. She then gently tapped the table.
The sudden noise broke the tall, bespectacled woman's train of thought. She looked up somewhat blankly, and upon seeing the large crowd suddenly appear before her, she immediately understood what had happened. She coughed once and then became serious.
"Hello, my name is Rei. There's no need for a long introduction. The fact that Chloe brought you here to see me means you're here to participate in the investigation of Void Zero."
"I don't care whether you have experience entering and exiting the Void and fighting with the skeletons, I only care about your performance in the aptitude test."
"Just now, one of our data stations outside Void Zero was breached by the Skeletons. I need you to retrieve the data."
At this point, Rei pursed her lips, picked up the water glass beside her to moisten her slightly dry throat, glanced at Chloe beside her, and continued:
"During the assessment, everything you do will be recorded by Chloe. If all goes well, you will receive a message at the end of the assignment informing you whether you have passed the assessment."
"Well then, everyone, good luck."
A short while later, Klover gave Ruby basic information about the outer perimeter of Void Zero, and then told Fagar and his group that they would enter Void Zero in twenty minutes.
Fagga glanced at Ruby and whispered, "So, can you make a radish?"
Of course, basic information cannot be used directly; the rope maker or investigator must create the radish based on this basic information.
Rope makers and investigators of different skill levels will naturally arrive at different conclusions.
Just like a math problem, it varies from person to person.
Some people are still scratching their heads no matter how many times they look at it. Rather than hoping to figure it out themselves, they might as well hope to consult a shaman.
Some people can write a long explanation after just a glance at the problem statement, and some top mathematicians can even proudly say: "I have discovered a beautiful proof, but unfortunately the space here is too small for me to write it down."
