Chapter 9 The joy of escaping was fleeting (2/2)

Even the usually expressionless Fagar and Ellen were moved at this moment, their lips curving into smiles.

The squad leader pointed towards the building, his joy overflowing. Ignoring his injuries, he shouted, "Charge!"

After saying that, he was the first to run out.

These words were like a wake-up call. The students behind finally realized what was happening, sighed that the class monitor was in the lead, and quickly ran after him.

"Hey, wait for me!"

"Don't stop me, I want to be the first person to run out of the hole!"

"Bullshit, I'm the first one!"

"..."

"Boys have a strange competitive spirit."

Ruby, seeing that she couldn't outrun the group of boys, could only walk slowly, grumbling to herself.

"Judging from your expression, it seems you also want to be number one?"

Eileen walked beside Ruby and turned her head to ask.

"No way!"

Ruby, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, raised her voice an octave higher and retorted, "Only boys would be this bored!"

After speaking, Ruby looked around as if trying to find evidence, but saw Fagga walking slowly behind her with an umbrella.

Ruby suddenly became curious: "Faga, aren't you going to run faster and try to be number one?"

Ruby believes that Ellen doesn't like competing for such vanity, so there's a high probability that Fagga will snatch first place.

Upon hearing this, Fagga immediately gave Ruby a strange look: "What if you were number one?"

"Being the first one out is incredibly prestigious, something I can brag about for ages!"

Ruby's eyes sparkled with longing.

“You sound like you fit the description of a ‘boy’,” Fagar said with a smirk.

"Um!"

Eileen nodded slightly and added, "Besides, Ruby, why don't you just show off that you're an apprentice rope maker? Leading a whole class out of the Void on your first mission, isn't that something to brag about?"

"Hey! I don't want to go to jail!"

Ruby pouted unhappily and retorted, preparing to walk backwards to argue with Fagga and Ellen.

But as soon as she turned around, she froze.

Eileen was the first to notice something was wrong and asked, puzzled, "Hey, Ruby, what's wrong?"

Fagga, who was holding an umbrella, also looked over. Just as he was about to say something, he suddenly felt a shadow envelop his entire body.

He looked up in a panic, and his expression immediately went blank, his eyes widening three times larger than usual!

Fagga murmured, "The bus... is flying?"

call!

The sound of wind breaking through the air whistled past!

It happened in the blink of an eye.

In the short time that Fagar was distracted, the bus that had flown over him had already passed by and was flying straight toward the building not far away.

Bang!!!

Just as the squad leader was about to reach the building, a shadow suddenly fell down and crashed down in front of him, billowing dust that forced him to retreat.

"What...is going on?!"

The squad leader, unaware of what was going on, quickly turned around to look.

About a hundred meters away from them, a huge skeleton slowly straightened up, looking like an unshakable small mountain from afar!

Everyone's pupils constricted slightly, and their hearts skipped a beat!

This kind of skeleton was something the teacher emphasized in class.

Danger!

Extremely dangerous!

If you see it, run!

Do not linger!

For ordinary people, it's like an insurmountable barrier!

"Wow! I've really hit the jackpot! To run into something like this!"

Fagar sighed, put down the parasol, slowly extended the blade, and then with a flick of his wrist, threw the longsword to Ellen.

Eileen caught it steadily, then calmly gave Ruby a push and said, "Take them to a safe place to hide."

Ruby shrank back timidly, but finally mustered up the courage to shout, "And what about you?"

Fagga and Ellen turned around at the same time, looking at Ruby with curiosity.

Now that we've encountered this situation, is there any possibility of backing down?

Let's have a fight, Dead End Butcher!
