Chapter 45 "Senior Sister, may we ask Senior Brother to return now..."

Bao'e quickly said, "It's not a monkey!"

"Not a monkey?" the Great Sage laughed. "No wonder you don't have a hairy face. What kind of monster are you? If you want to serve under me, Sun Wukong, then state your name first. If you don't, I will expel you."

“Brother, it’s me, Wu Miao, my secular name is Zhu Bao’e.”

“Zhu Bao’e…” the pilgrim said, “What does she look like? Raise your head and come forward so I can see.”

Bao'e stepped closer, tilted her head back, and said, "Brother, don't you recognize me?"

The simpleton said earnestly, "Brother, to tell you the truth, I really missed you, so I came to take a look."

Is it really true?

“With such a sincere heart, how could I lie?” Bao’e took out the remaining half of the ginseng fruit from her bosom. “Back in Wuzhuang Temple, the immortal found ginseng fruit and gave us a few. I knew that you, my senior brother, do not eat cooked food but eat fresh fruit, so I hid one. I didn’t expect to find it today.”

The Great Sage opened his fiery eyes and recognized that it was indeed a ginseng fruit, saying, "After such a long time, this fruit is still fresh."

"That's right, that's right. I've been thinking about it day and night, making sure it doesn't get damaged."

Upon hearing this, the Great Sage suddenly jumped off the cliff, took her hand, and said, "My dear sister, it's so kind of you to remember me, Old Sun. But you've come all this way, aren't you afraid that monk will scold you?"

Bao'e lied and said, "Master misses you too. You know what kind of person he is. He won't say it, but he secretly asked me to invite you back."

The traveler chuckled coldly, "I'm having a great time here on Flower Fruit Mountain. Where do I want to go back to be a spineless coward and suffer his temper all day long?"

Bao'e said, "Brother, when we go back this time, he won't scold you or make you suffer."

"Stop talking, I'm not going." The Monkey King said, "Wumiao, don't think about this. Come with me, Old Sun, to have some fun and see the mountain scenery. I won't let you come for nothing."

Bao'e thought to herself: That monk is guarded by a group of immortals, so there's no rush. I might as well play with him for a while, and once the monkey is happy, I can take him to rescue my master.

So she and he went hand in hand to see the mountain scenery, and then walked through the Water Curtain Cave, seeing all the blessed lands.

The traveler rarely ate cooked food, and the monkeys on the mountain only ate fruit, so he prepared a pile of loquats, grapes, and other fruits for Bao'e to enjoy.

Bao'e was overjoyed, enjoying the meal to her heart's content, forgetting all worldly affairs.

Finally, she lay sprawled on the rock and said, "Brother, I'm a little full, but not in the usual way."

The traveler was eating a peach when he asked her, "What do you mean?"

"It's so sweet and fresh, I'm afraid that if I open my mouth, a bee will crawl into it."

Upon hearing this, the traveler laughed so hard he almost fell over.

Bao'e said, "Senior brother, now that you've eaten, you should go back. Master is still waiting for you."

The Great Sage mocked her: "In such a hurry, why don't you inform those who are patiently waiting at the foot of the mountain?"

Bao'e then realized: he must have been the one who instigated a bunch of monkeys to carry her.

She said angrily, "You can laugh at me if you want, but how can you play with the sincerity of that young master Gao?"

The pilgrim sneered: "You only see his human skin, but you don't smell his ghostly aura, nor see his ghostly heart. You know, I, Old Sun, have told you countless times to be wary of demons disguised as people."

Bao'e didn't believe it: "That was clearly a perfectly healthy, living person with a fair and handsome face."

"Is he the only one who can change his face?" The traveler suddenly wiped his face and transformed into a human face as well.

His golden eyes were as bright as the sun, and his red hair was like a sunset. He was quite arrogant and truly very handsome.

Bao'e stared at him, completely mesmerized.

After a long pause, she said, "Brother, you're not being honest, and you're treating me like an enemy from eight lifetimes ago."

The traveler asked her with a smile, "Why are you bringing this up again?"

“With such a face, you always turn into a monkey and trick me.” Bao’e said honestly, “If you had said so earlier, I would have given you two extra ginseng fruits for such a wonderful person.”

The traveler couldn't stop laughing.

He said, "You're really useless. You think that handsome guy is only good-looking? But I, Old Sun, have endless skills!"

Bao'e: "Brother, you're joking. Even if you're capable, you don't have the nerve to be shameless."

The two of them laughed and joked non-stop.

Despite Bao'e's repeated attempts to persuade him, the traveler, though wavering, still refused to return.

Having no other choice, she told the truth.

Great Sage, upon hearing that Sanzang was to fall into the belly of that demon, after much deliberation, finally mounted his somersault cloud and went west with her.

Halfway through their journey, they suddenly bumped into the demons, who were none other than the Golden Feather and Silver Moon brothers.

It turned out that the two brothers immediately recognized that the bound Bao'e was someone else in disguise. They had a bet with the pretty boy and forced him to reveal his true form.

The two of them tied up the little white dragon and rushed over.

Jin Ling said, "Bao'e, come here first, there's no need to fight."

Before Bao'e could speak, the Monkey King said, "You wicked demon, shut up and release my master immediately! If you don't know your place, take this cudgel!"

Silver Moon was not a talkative person; she drew her Seven Star Sword and engaged him in battle.

Bao'e originally intended to work as a helper, but unexpectedly, Jin Ling had already brought back a Golden Rope from Yalong Mountain. While Xingzhe was fighting with Yinyue, she tied her up and went straight back to Lotus Cave.

Without saying a word, the demon returned and ordered his minions to prepare the demon cave and arrange a feast so that he could marry her.

Bao'e was tightly bound. As soon as she sat down, someone asked her, "Senior Sister, have you asked Senior Brother to come back?"

She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a handsome young man, who looked just like a prince, also tightly bound and tied to one side.

The fool stared at him blankly for a while, then asked, "Wujing, when did you get thinner and your hair turn black?"

"Senior sister, I am the white dragon horse in disguise." The little dragon was so angry that she frowned and sighed repeatedly. "But I can only transform for a short time. Before long, I will turn back into a different form."

Author's Note: My darlings, I think the remaining plot points in this book will be written pretty quickly. What would you like to see in the next book? I'd like to make an outline in advance [glasses]. I've recently added a new book to my column, "Orphans and Widows." The original "Playing the Beta" story has been sitting for too long, so I've rewritten the synopsis and started pre-orders. It's called "Playing the Beta in a Melodramatic Novel."
