Li Lin had just finished speaking when a familiar female voice sounded beside them.

"May the gears turn forward, Jace, and Mr. Li Lin."

The two turned around at the same time and saw a woman wearing white as the main color, supplemented by yellow and black accessories, and wearing an eye-catching crystal necklace around her slender neck, standing three or four steps away from them.

She held a transparent glass goblet filled with champagne in her hand, with a polite and indifferent smile on her face.

It was Meir Midalda.

"May the gears turn forward, Councillor Midalda." Li Lin immediately restrained his expression and greeted politely.

"I told you, just call me Mel."

Mel's eyes stayed on Li Lin briefly, then moved to Jace.

"Mel, why are you here so early?"

Jace's more intimate way of addressing Mel made Li Lin beside him stunned.

"Councilor Gilaman asked you to entertain guests, is this your attitude towards work?"
