But the pursuer's strength was far beyond imagination! The immense force transmitted from the bone blade shook Pei Du's arm violently, nearly knocking the dagger out of his hand! His body was even shaken so much that he stumbled backwards!

The other five pursuers, like a precisely coordinated swarm of killer bees, sprang into action instantly! Four figures pounced on Pei Du from different angles, their sharp bone blades weaving into a deadly web! The remaining one's dark blue electronic eyes suddenly turned to Xu Shuangyao in the shadows! It raised its wrist, and the mycelium nozzle instantly charged, locking onto him with a dark blue light!

They had no intention of letting anyone go! Xu Shuangyao was also a target!

Xu Shuangyao moved the moment the pursuers locked onto her! She didn't rush toward Pei Du, nor did she try to escape the encirclement—that would only put them both in a desperate situation! Her body, like a boneless fish, slid violently to the side and rear, clinging to the cold ground! There, near the overturned RV, some explosion remnants were scattered!

The sound of bone blades piercing the air and the slight hiss of mycelium spraying followed closely behind! A cold blade almost brushed past her back, tearing through her combat uniform! The cold touch of death made her scalp tingle!

She grabbed a twisted metal plate from the ground and slammed it down on the pursuer! The pursuer easily parried the metal plate with a wave of his arm, but it bought her a few tenths of a second!

Xu Shuangyao's target was the pool of dark, solidified blood on the ground—the blood of the eradicator whose leg had been chopped off by Pei Du during the battle in the depression! She threw herself to the ground, ignoring the dirt, and plunged her hands into the sticky, cold blood!

"In the name of the Crown of Thorns!" Xu Shuangyao cried silently in her heart, her fingertips furiously carving into the congealed blood! These weren't words, but rather the most primitive data circuits imprinted deep within her consciousness, the mark of the Crown of Thorns! She poured her remaining mental energy, mixed with the even more intense Omega pheromones instinctively released from her neck glands in response to the extreme danger, into the crude carving like a sacrifice!

Buzz!

A miracle happened!

The dead, dark pool of Eradicator blood, when it was stained with the Omega pheromones on Xu Shuangyao's fingertips and touched the simple crown mark circuit, suddenly lit up with a faint dark golden light! It was as if it had been injected with life!

A faint but clear, cold and majestic wave of will suddenly spread out from the pool of glowing blood! Like a stone thrown into stagnant water!

The pursuer lunging at Xu Shuangyao suddenly froze! Its dark blue electronic eyes flickered wildly, its scanning system seemingly momentarily disrupted! It seemed to have "seen" something that had disrupted its core logic—a crown mark that should have been obliterated, yet was activated by an Omega amidst the highly contaminated blood of its own kind?!

It's this momentary delay!

A cold light flashed in Xu Shuangyao's eyes! This was the moment she had been waiting for! She abruptly pulled her hand free from the blood. Her fingers, stained with a dark golden glow and sticky blood, pointed like lightning at the still-burning tooth mark on her neck left by Pei Du!

The trace amount of Pei Du's blood and the violent thorn pheromone residue on her fingertips, combined with her own cool Omega pheromone, instantly produced a violent fusion reaction at the special "wound" of the tooth mark!

An indescribable, complex sensation of tingling, burning, and cooling surged from the side of his neck throughout his body like an electric current! Xu Shuangyao resisted this strange sensation, concentrating all his mental energy into a sharp, strongly directed thought. Mixed with this blend of auras, it shot like an invisible arrow, fiercely targeting the pursuer who was caught in a momentary logical confusion!

This isn't an attack! It's more like... a mandatory pheromone marking! An absolute command interference... from the Crown of Thorns' rank to lower-level creatures!

"Command override - target transfer!" Xu Shuangyao roared in his heart!

Buzz!

The pursuer's dark blue electronic eyes were instantly filled with a chaotic flurry of snowflakes! It turned its head stiffly and swung its bone blade violently! Its target was no longer Xu Shuangyao, but another companion beside it who was about to pounce on Pei Du!

clang!

The bone blade slashed fiercely on the companion's mimic armor, causing a string of dazzling sparks to burst out!

"Warning! Logical conflict! Target identification error!" The electronic voice of the attacked pursuer was filled with a wave of astonishment.

The perfect formation surrounding Pei Du suddenly had a flaw because of the sudden "defection" and internal chaos!

"Pei Du! Gap!" Xu Shuangyao screamed, his body shaking from the forced use of mental power and the impact of the fusion of pheromones.

Pei Du's eyes flashed with a desperate glint of survival! He seized this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Ignoring his paralysis and weakness, he fiercely hurled his dagger at the electronic eye of a pursuer directly in front of him! Simultaneously, his body slammed like a cannonball into the pursuer, who was already in disarray from the attacks of his companions!

Puff! The dagger was deflected, but it blocked the opponent's sight!

Bang! Pei Du's heavy shoulder slammed into the pursuer's side! The mimic armor made a teeth-grinding sound of deformation! The pursuer stumbled back, and the encirclement was torn apart!

Pei Du, like a trapped beast escaping from a cage, rushed into the more complex shadows deep within the metal ruins without looking back! His figure was instantly swallowed up by the darkness!

"Target Alpha carrier has escaped! Priority changed!" the lead pursuer's cold electronic voice chimed in. "Capture secondary target: Omega carrier! Analyze the source of the pheromone interference!"

Five dark blue electronic eyes, like will-o'-the-wisp fires demanding death, instantly locked onto the shaky Xu Shuangyao! The bone blades were raised, and the mycelium nozzles glowed faintly!
