Xuan Tian's Discourse on Teachings, Nuwa Palace

However, the issue stemmed from the previous debate at Kunlun. The Chan Sect lost to the Jie Sect in the debate, and the current Imperial Tutor, naturally a member of the Jie Sect, was none other than Duobao.

Tongtian put in a lot of effort. The previous emperor's tutor was taken in by Guangchengzi. Although it was destined that the Five Emperors could not achieve the same merits as the Three Sovereigns, being the tutor of the Five Emperors was not bad either, and it would be of great help in spreading the Dao.

Duobao was determined to surpass the previous imperial tutor, and he devoted himself to teaching Zhuanxu. Learning from the lessons of the previous imperial tutor, Duobao not only taught Zhuanxu the Shangqing Immortal Arts, but also focused on teaching him knowledge of governing the country and its people. Whenever Zhuanxu had questions, Duobao would provide answers. Even if Duobao didn't understand something, he would go to Tongtian for advice, striving for perfection in everything he did.

Emperor Zhuanxu proved himself capable, governing the human race with order and achieving peace and prosperity. Whenever difficulties arose, many disciples of the Jie Sect offered assistance, and the large number of Jie Sect disciples ensured a smooth reign for Zhuanxu.

Emperor Zhuanxu reigned for 78 years, and before his death, he abdicated in favor of Emperor Ku. Emperor Ku, whose surname was Ji and whose given name was Gaoxin, was the great-grandson of the Yellow Emperor. Emperor Ku's teacher was Zhao Gongming. As the chief disciple of the outer sect of the Jie Sect, Zhao Gongming commanded tens of thousands of wandering immortals. He naturally possessed great cultivation and prestige, so Tongtian gave the position of Imperial Tutor to Zhao Gongming, even relegating Yunxiao to a secondary post.

Zhao Gongming is also quite good. Unlike Duobao, who mostly stayed on Jin'ao Island to cultivate and didn't know much about civil affairs, Zhao Gongming stayed in the prehistoric world and often traveled around it. He had more experience than Duobao, and Emperor Ku taught him very well.

Seeing that the Jie Sect had taken both positions of Imperial Tutor, the Chan Sect was naturally unwilling to accept it. Yuanshi Tianzun had also received Laozi's tacit approval, so he became bolder. With Yuanshi Tianzun's tacit approval or hints, some people in the Chan Sect began to have designs on the position, among them was Randeng.

The lamp was transformed from a coffin. It was also his good fortune that he obtained the Spirit Vulture Palace Lamp, one of the four spiritual lamps created at the beginning of creation. At the beginning of creation, there were four lamps in the world: the Eight Scenery Lamp, the Glazed Lamp, the Lotus Lamp, and the Spirit Vulture Lamp. They were all rare innate objects. Although they were not as good as the Taiji Diagram, they were no less than treasures such as the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi and the Hunyuan Golden Cauldron. Among them, the Eight Scenery Lamp is in the Eight Scenery Palace of Xuandu Cave, belonging to Laozi of Taiqing. When this lamp flashes, it scatters the souls of people, and neither immortals nor mortals can escape it; the Glazed Lamp is in the Jade Void Palace of Kunlun Mountain, belonging to Yuqing Yuanshi. When this lamp flashes, it imprisons all things, and even if you are a Great Luo Golden Immortal, you cannot come or go; the Precious Lotus Lamp was in the hands of Nuwa, and later obtained by the Third Holy Mother. The Precious Lotus Lamp is fundamental and primordial, neither born nor dying, and impervious to all laws; the Lingjiu Lamp is in the hands of the Burning Lamp Daoist of Yuanjue Cave on Lingjiu Mountain. The flame of the Lingjiu Lamp is peculiar, neither heavenly fire, nor ordinary fire, nor Samadhi True Fire, but a fire of annihilation, the fire transformed from the primordial spirit of a living being after death. It is both offensive and defensive. Offensively, it can release the flame of the Lingjiu Lamp to burn the primordial spirit of others, and defensively, it can release golden light. It cannot be broken by anything but the most precious treasure.

These four lamps are not ordinary objects, nor is the Lamp Burning Lamp an ordinary person. He was also a guest of the Purple Heaven Sect who listened to the Dao back then. Although his cultivation was low and he sat in the back, he still had great supernatural powers. Later, seeing several people with seats become saints, he felt depressed and felt that his own cultivation method was flawed. In addition, he had no chance to become a saint and had no hope of becoming a saint. So he joined the Chan Sect as a quasi-saint and became a disciple of Yuanshi. However, Yuanshi calculated that he had no master-disciple relationship with the Lamp Burning Lamp, so he did not accept him. He only let him listen to the Dao on Kunlun Mountain and was given the title of vice leader in the Chan Sect, but he had no real power.

Later, Yuanshi ordered Guangchengzi to seize the position of Imperial Tutor of Xuanyuan, which angered Randeng. Randeng was a narrow-minded person. After becoming a disciple of the Chan Sect, he had been diligent and conscientious, not daring to delay his cultivation, but his cultivation had not improved. He always thought that Yuanshi had not truly taught him, so he was angry. Later, the position of Imperial Tutor was given to Guangchengzi, which made him even angrier. In his opinion, if he had obtained the position of Imperial Tutor, he might have been able to use the merit to sever another corpse. He was furious, but there was nothing he could do.

Seeing that the Chan Sect had lost the battle between the Chan and Jie Sects, Randeng quickly changed his mind and asked Yuanshi to allow him to go down the mountain to save face for the Chan Sect. Yuanshi knew what Randeng was thinking, but none of his disciples were a match for the Jie Sect members, so he had to rely on Randeng, an outsider, to maintain appearances. Therefore, he granted Randeng's request.

After descending the mountain, Ran Deng was determined to become the emperor's tutor. With the guidance of Yuan Shi, he calculated the birthplace of the next emperor and sought out Yao, wanting to take him as his disciple.

Unexpectedly, they encountered Yunxiao, who came to take on a disciple. Yunxiao was initially no match for Randeng, but he called his elder brother Zhao Gongming. Zhao Gongming's Dinghai Divine Pearl had been taken by Xuantian, but he was compensated. Tongtian obtained two pearls from somewhere, called Yin-Yang Pearls (not the ones in the hands of the Turtle Spirit Mother). Zhao Gongming refined them with exceptional skill, and together with Yunxiao's Hunyuan Golden Bucket, they defeated Randeng and finally brought Emperor Yao into their fold.

Ran Deng was naturally unwilling to accept defeat, especially since he, a quasi-saint, had failed to defeat two Daluo cultivators. In his opinion, the reason the two were able to defeat him was because their spiritual treasures were too good. He hated Yuan Shi even more because Yuan Shi had not given Ran Deng any of the magical treasures he obtained from the Treasure Dividing Cliff. As a result, Ran Deng only had the Qiankun Ruler to use now. The Spirit Vulture Lamp was his natal magical treasure, which he would not use easily.

Enraged, Randeng searched everywhere for magical treasures to get revenge. However, since the beginning of time, all powerful magical treasures had their own owners. Randeng searched for a long time but could not find a suitable one. Finally, he encountered the Western Sage Zhunti. Zhunti took pity on him and gave him a postnatal spiritual treasure, the Purple Gold Cymbal, for which Randeng was extremely grateful.

Knowing he was no match for the Jie Sect members, Randeng had no choice but to seek out members of the Chan Sect to help him deal with the Jie Sect.

Emperor Ku reigned for over 70 years, and before his death, he abdicated the throne to Yao, whose surname was Yin Qi and whose given name was Fangxun. Because he was enfeoffed in Tang, he was called "Tang Yao." Due to his high virtue and prestige, the people were devoted to Emperor Yao. He was solemn and respectful, his influence shone brightly, he maintained clear distinctions between superiors and inferiors, and he was able to unite his people, making the tribes as one family, living in harmony. Yao was simple in his life, eating coarse rice and drinking wild vegetable soup. Naturally, he earned the love and respect of the people.
