"It's me, Yu Ke." Yu Ke's voice came from outside the door.

Lang Yuan rubbed his eyes and slowly sat up. Ling Xi, hearing his movements, curled up into a ball again, as if she had never woken up.

Lang Yuan frowned slightly, still half-asleep, and walked to the door. He opened it and looked at Yu Ke outside, asking in confusion, "What's wrong?"

Yu Ke sighed and shook his head, saying, "Young Master threw that monk into the woodshed and told us and Ji Jue to take turns watching him. It's your turn, Lang Yuan. You can call Ji Jue to take your place in an hour. Let him watch him for an hour and then call me back."

Lang Yuan became increasingly puzzled and asked, "Wasn't it Yu Xin who was watching over that monk?"

"That's what I asked the young master too," Yu Ke sighed, "but the young master didn't say why."

"Okay, I understand." Lang Yuan didn't ask any more questions and said, "Go and rest, Yu Ke."

Yu Ke nodded in agreement, yawned widely, and turned to leave.

Langyuan turned to look at Lingxi and saw that she was curled up in a ball as if she was still fast asleep. He smiled gently, turned around and walked out of the room. He quietly closed the door and headed towards the woodshed.

After Langyuan left, Lingxi raised her little face and looked in the direction of the door, then rested her chin on her two front paws, her face full of thoughtful expression.

She remained motionless, the moonlight streaming through the window reflecting a soft glow onto her azure eyes.

This continued for an hour. When footsteps came from outside the door, Lingxi's eyelids twitched, and she quickly curled up into a ball, hiding her face.
