"We still have some things to do."
Before leaving, Judy didn't forget to comfort her:
"He's fine, don't worry too much."
"Hmm," Ai replied casually without looking up.
After the two left, she looked at Kwang-woo, who was still unconscious on the bed, and murmured to herself:
"You'll be fine, just like last time."
She had just remembered the time when Guangyou rescued her from a bus.
After rescuing her, Guangyou also fell into a coma due to his injuries, just like this time.
If it weren't for her, why would Kōyū, who has no connection with the brewery, risk doing these things?
Thankfully, this should be the last time.
...
"call..."
Slowly opening his still somewhat heavy eyes, Kōyū paused for a few seconds before turning to look around.
He spotted Ai sleeping on the hospital bed at a glance.
"Everything will be alright..." Ai murmured repeatedly.
“This girl…” Guangyou’s gaze softened immediately.
He sat half-upright on the hospital bed, leaning forward, and reached out to brush away the strands of hair that had fallen onto Xiao Ai's cheek, looking at her sleeping face.
Afterwards, Guangyou leaned against the headboard, turned his head to the side, and admired the scenery outside the window.
Before the new year arrived, he finally destroyed the distillery.
From now on, Ai and Akemi won't have to worry about their identities being exposed, and they can truly live in the sunlight like ordinary people.
Not only them, but he can also say goodbye to the former "Guangyou".
...
Waking from a dream where Kōyū had already woken up, Ai frowned and rubbed her sleepy eyes.
She sat up and yawned, then glanced at the hospital bed and saw Guangyou sitting on the bed, smiling at her.
"Do you want to sleep a little longer?" Guangyou asked.
After shaking her head to indicate that she didn't need it, Ai asked:
How are you feeling now?
"Is there anything that's bothering you?"
"I feel pretty good," Guangyou replied. "Don't worry too much, they're all minor injuries."
He was very careful during the operation and only suffered minor injuries.
The only slightly deep wound on his shoulder was on his entire body, but it was only slightly deeper compared to the other wounds on his body.
The wound itself isn't too bad; it probably won't leave a scar after it heals.
There are several reasons why he fainted.
One of them is due to excessive physical exertion.
Another reason is that he found something useful to him.
There is some information and some other things.
Because of these things, he evacuated a little slower.
Near the exit, he was accidentally knocked unconscious by something falling.
He was then carried out by Shuichi Akai.
"Let the doctor examine you."
Before Kōyū could speak, Ai pressed the call button next to the bed after saying that, telling the doctor that Kōyū had woken up.
After calling for the doctor, Ai looked at Kousuke and said without giving him any room for argument:
"Tell me everything after the checkup."
"No details may be concealed."
"Okay, okay." Guangyou nodded and agreed.
Soon, the doctor and several nurses came to the ward to check on Guangyou's physical condition.
After the examination, Guangyou's condition was found to be relatively good.
None of the wounds on his body are fatal, and Guangyou is in good physical condition. He just needs to rest and recuperate in the hospital for a while.
After the doctor finished explaining the precautions to Kousuke and left the ward, Ai sat down beside the bed and said to Kousuke:
"Okay, tell me the whole story from beginning to end."
"No hiding anything this time."
"good."
Afterwards, Guangyou leaned against the hospital bed and recounted the entire story to Ai, starting from the moment he proposed joining forces.
This includes the reason for his coma and the fact that he found some useful information in the underground fortress.
He didn't hide anything, except that he didn't say what the information was specifically.
After hearing about what had happened recently, especially knowing that Kousuke had been injured a few days ago, Ai felt a little sad.
To avoid worrying her, he pretended that nothing had happened, even though he was injured.
She pursed her lips, her gaze sweeping over Guangyou's exposed wounds.
Before she could speak, Guangyou saw through her thoughts and said with a smile:
"Don't worry."
"Didn't the doctor just say that?"
"It's just a minor injury; you'll recover after some rest."
"Mmm," Ai replied.
She wasn't unaware of these things, nor was she worried about Guangyou's injuries; she was just feeling somewhat unwell.
Guangyou has really sacrificed a lot for her.
Seeing that Ai didn't seem very happy, Kousuke smiled and said to her:
"Then Ai, smile."
"That organization has now been effectively eliminated."
"You and Mingmei won't have to worry about your identities being exposed anymore. You can live like any other ordinary person. Isn't that a good thing?"
Upon hearing his words, Ai smiled.
But the smile looked somewhat forced.
She had no intention of keeping everything bottled up inside, and after her smile faded, she said:
"Of course it's a good thing, but seeing you like this, I can't be happy at all."
"You're lucky this time; it just knocked you out."
"If it had missed and hit a vital area near your head, or if it had hit you with a sharp object, then you would be..."
