Chapter 157 Ferris Wheel

Kōyū accompanied Ai on the carousel four or five times, but he was not impatient at all and kept smiling. After Ai finished riding the carousel, she had a smile on her face. Kōyū knew from her actions that she had had enough of the carousel, so he took her hand and walked towards the next ride.

Of course, the fairytale island is not short of candy, a magical thing. You can find all kinds of candy here, whether it's rainbow lollipops, gummy candies, or anything else.

A faint sweet aroma permeates the air. The candies here are slightly more expensive than the same types of candies outside, but the extra price represents higher quality. All the candies are basically handmade, and the ingredients used are as natural as possible. Therefore, the candies have a milder aroma and a more natural sweetness than candies outside, and they don't become cloying after eating too many.

Kōyū bought two. The three fresh colors of white, pink, and light blue were combined together, giving it a fairytale feel. The sugar threads were made into flower shapes with exquisite craftsmanship. Due to the skill and machine cost, these were much more expensive than ordinary balls. But for Kōyū, money didn't matter as long as it made Ai happy, since he didn't spend much money anyway.

Xiao Ai took a small sip and found the texture to be very soft. It could be eaten with just a light sip and melted in her mouth in less than a second. Unlike those made with saccharin, this one was sweet but mild, and had a floral fragrance in her mouth. This discovery made Xiao Ai quite happy.

Since the Dreamy Fairy Tale Island had relatively few rides, the two strolled over to the Magical Fantasy Island, where the roller coaster was located.

There were many people queuing for the roller coaster, but the ride was quick, so it was soon Guangyou and his companion's turn. At that moment, a voice caught their attention.

"You go first."

The two turned around and saw Shinichi, wearing a hat, standing there, stepping aside to let Ran in. Kōyū smiled and shook his head: "What a coincidence."

Although he saw Shinichi and Ran, Kouyu didn't go up to say hello. He wasn't that stupid. It was a rare opportunity for them to have some alone time, and he wouldn't be so inconsiderate as to go over there. Besides, he was also having some alone time with his partner right now.

Shinichi and Ran sat in the front row, while Kouyu and Ai sat in the fourth row so that Shinichi wouldn't notice them. At first, Ai was a little worried and scared about the exciting thing in front of her, but after Kouyu comforted her, she finally decided to give it a try.

After taking their seats and ensuring they are properly secured, the train slowly begins to move. There is no direct drop; instead, there is usually an ascent phase to ease the passengers' anxiety, allowing them to prepare and increasing the thrill of the ride.

Ai was also a little nervous, and her breathing became heavier. Kōyū smiled, reached out and held her soft hand tightly in his. Ai couldn't care less about being nervous for a moment, and a blush appeared on her face.

The train had reached the top, after which there was a gentle stretch of road, followed by a steep downhill slope. The wind howled past, accompanied by screams from the passengers. Many people couldn't open their eyes because of the strong wind ahead, but what's the difference between not opening your eyes on a roller coaster and being a salted fish?

Ai was a little nervous before it started, but once it started, apart from the initial scary feeling of going from a gentle slope to a downhill acceleration, all that was left was excitement. She didn't have a big expression on her face, but her heart had already started racing, and the joy in her eyes was almost overflowing.

The roller coaster ride was very fast, and in the blink of an eye, we arrived at our destination. Some of the people who got off were already weak in the legs, and some had even started to vomit. Of course, there were also tourists who were not afraid and just felt thrilled, with excited faces, as if they wanted to go again.

"Guangyou?"

As Ran was getting off the bus, she caught a glimpse of Kouyu's small figure with a casual glance. With a teasing smile, she said, "Ai, you and Kouyu are on a date?"

Ai then realized that their hands were still tightly clasped together. Her face flushed, and she quickly let go. Kōyū replied, "We're out having fun, Ran-neechan. Are you on a date with Shinichi-nii?"

The same words had the same effect; a blush rose on Ran's face, and Shinichi reached out and patted Kouyu's head with a mischievous grin, saying, "I'll treat you to some delicious sausages later."

Kōyū shook off Shinichi's hand, gave him a cold laugh, and said nothing. He then took Ai's hand and left the roller coaster area. Shinichi scratched his head and said, "It seems like I'm probably doomed. But I really wanted to treat them to sausages."

As he spoke, he pointed to an old man selling sausages next to the roller coaster and said, "Never mind, Ran, let's move on to the next ride."

...

After playing around for a while, it was already sunset, so the two of them went to the last attraction – the Ferris wheel. The Ferris wheel is more suitable for two people, but it is not limited to one man and one woman; two men or two women can also do it.

The speed of a Ferris wheel is comparable to the difference between the sky and the ground compared to a roller coaster. Roller coasters make your heart race, and Ferris wheels, to some extent, also make your heart race, just for different reasons.

The cockpit where Guangyou and his companion were located slowly began to rotate. The cockpit wasn't large, and the two stood side by side in front of the cockpit window, looking at the scene that had been dyed orange-red all over the sky. Flocks of birds flew by in groups in the sky, and clouds obscured the sun. This beautiful and picturesque scene made the two of them somewhat mesmerized.

Even if the Ferris wheel is slow, it will be close to the highest point in these few minutes. Suddenly, Kōyū grabbed Ai's hand and said in a serious tone, "Ai, please give me a chance to protect you for the rest of my life."

Ai didn't reply, and Kousuke wasn't in a hurry either. Since Ai hadn't broken free of his grasp, Kousuke remained calm. After a moment's hesitation, Ai gave a very soft "Mmm."

In such a confined space, how could Kousuke not hear Ai's response? A bright smile suddenly bloomed on his face, and he gripped Ai's hand even tighter, as if trying to merge their hands together.

As this scene unfolded, the Ferris wheel reached its highest point. Its position was perfect, facing the sun directly. The clouds that had been obscuring the sun had quietly dispersed, and the orange-red sun, now unhindered, was shining its last rays of the day. Gold bathed the entire Dorobiga Park and also fell upon the smiling faces of Kōyū and Ai.

Both gazed at the orange-red sky, lost in their own thoughts. After a long while, as if on cue, they turned to each other and smiled at one another...
