Chapter 111 I Want You to Fall in Love with Me

Gals pulled Joyce down to sit, and Anning helped Lucy down to sit. Everyone sat down, and Lucy downed another glass of wine. Joyce stared at Lucy's actions and shook her head.

Anning: "Lucy, I've been there, and I hope you can be happy."

Lucy: "Happiness has nothing to do with me. I want what I want now."

Liao Qian: "You can't ruin yourself. You can live a good life even without this title."

Lucy: "Well, I feel like I have no place to belong when I'm wandering around. It's better to socialize and socialize in the royal family every day."

Alan: "Lucy, how can you be happy without love?"

Lucy: "Happiness has nothing to do with me. If Joyce is happy and loving with someone else, then he's carefree."

Joyce: "What? Am I just someone you can do without?"

Lucy: "You could say that, but I'll need your cooperation until I give birth to my son."

Joyce: "Do you think I'm a stud pig?"

Joyce yelled, and Thunder chuckled; the words he'd said to him at noon had come true.

Lucy: "What's wrong with that? I'll let you have it today."

Joyce: "You... how are you any different from those prostitutes now?"

Lucy: "Of course there's a difference. I won't do it for money; I want your title."

Joyce: "You..."

Joyce stood up angrily, pointed at Lucy, and yelled, but Gals pulled him back down to sit. Lucy was acting strangely; she was trying her best to control herself.

Gals: "Lucy, Joyce begged the Queen many times that he would change his mind for you. We also went to great lengths to find you. Joyce was very happy to hear about you. The Queen arranged for you to meet, and she did not mean to force you."

Lucy: "Thank you for your concern, Queen. I will accept Joyce's kindness."

Joyce: "And what about me? How did you treat me?"

Lucy: "First of all, I won't care if you hang out with girls, and you can even bring them home."

Joyce: "Who would watch their husband cheat on them with another woman?"

Lucy: "Who would go on a blind date with a handprint on their face from a girl?"

Joyce turned his face away; the slap mark Jennifer had given him was still on his face. Lucy and Anning drank another glass, and Anning looked at her with concern.

Anning: "Lucy, I don't want you to be awkward. You'll be unhappy living an awkward life. Lucy, find someone who makes you happy, okay..."

Lucy: "Anning, I'm not as lucky as you to have met Thunder."

Joyce: "You want a title, I have a title, you like titles, I'll give you mine, I only want to give you mine, let's get married now, let's get married."

Joyce practically shouted the words. Lucy closed her eyes, took a deep breath, her hands trembling with pain, picked up the glass on the table, tilted her head back, and drank another glass of wine. Anning took her glass away, refusing to let her drink anymore.

Anning: "Lucy, let's not drink anymore."

No one had ever seen Joyce so affectionate before. It seemed like Joyce had fallen deeply in love with Lucy. It was impossible for him to be so affectionate right after meeting her.

Everyone here is an old hand in relationships; Joyce's attitude doesn't mean he's toying with Lucy.

Lucy closed her eyes in pain, and Joyce took deep breaths to compose herself. "These two definitely weren't in this state from the moment they met," Gals said, watching Lucy's pained expression.

Gals: "Lucy, you and Joyce used to date, right?"

Lucy nodded, and Joyce suddenly grabbed her hand, his eyes overflowing with affection that could fill a swimming pool.

Lucy ignored him and kept asking for more drinks, downing them one after another. Joyce took all her drinks away, preventing her from drinking anymore.

Joyce tried to pull Lucy into his arms. Lucy opened her eyes, looked at him, held up her hand to his face, and then squeezed out a sentence.

Lucy: "Jennifer's handprint is still so big."

Joyce turned her face away, and Lucy sat up straight, picked up another glass of wine, and drank it. It was hard to swallow wine that hadn't been properly tasted.

Gals: "Lucy, stop drinking. Please tell us about your past with Joyce, okay?"

Lucy nodded, took a deep breath, and began to tell them about her past with Joyce.

Lucy: "Three years ago, Joyce and I met at a ball. I was drawing a portrait of the cellist at the ball when he appeared behind me with a bouquet of lilies in his arms. Joyce's affectionate eyes captivated me, and I agreed to date him. We had a sweet time together and made a vow to be together forever. Joyce told me that his most precious possession was his title, which was his last treasure. He also said that if I had children for him, he would give me his most precious title."

As Lucy spoke, she took another swig of her drink. Joyce looked at her with reddened eyes. It was really strange to see Joyce like this; it was the first time Allen had ever seen her like this.

Lucy: "I long for it, I really hope it's like he said, that we'll spend our lives together, but... but..."

At this point, Lucy choked up, her hand trembling as she held the wine glass. Anning quickly took the glass from her hand and held Lucy's hand. Lucy felt Anning's warmth and then calmed herself down to continue.

Lucy: "Jennifer was different to me. It was the day I went to paint Anning's wedding portrait...that very day...Joyce and Jennifer betrayed me. In my studio, in my most precious place, my two most precious people, both of them betrayed me. Jennifer painted their loving portrait and flaunted it on my canvas. I lifted the cloth in front of the canvas, and the red braids I had braided for Joyce were now in Jennifer's mouth. They were naked in my studio...I couldn't bear to look. I could only run away, desperately run away..."
