After emerging from the underground river, Su Yao found herself on the edge of an unfamiliar icy plain. A biting wind howled, whipping up the snow and creating a white sandstorm. She tightened her pack, determined her direction, and headed towards the approximate location of the safe house.

They hadn't gone far when the sky suddenly darkened, turning the already gloomy sky as dark as night. Su Yao looked up and saw vast expanses of dark clouds rapidly gathering like a surging tide, their layers shimmering with an eerie purplish-red light. The system issued an urgent alarm: "Warning! A high-energy storm is approaching! Please find cover immediately!"

Su Yao looked around, but there was no suitable shelter in sight. Gritting her teeth, she used her spatial abilities to run towards a distant ice mound. However, the storm arrived faster than she expected, with gales and sharp ice shards raining down on her. Su Yao quickly erected a shield around herself, but the impact of the ice shards still made it difficult for her to move.

As she finally approached the ice mound, a thick, purplish-red bolt of lightning struck straight down from the clouds, exploding on the ice field not far away. The immense impact sent Su Yao flying, crashing heavily onto the snow, a trickle of blood escaping her mouth. But she had no time to catch her breath; gritting her teeth against the pain, she scrambled to her feet and hid behind the ice mound.

The storm intensified, with chunks of ice constantly breaking off from the ice mound under the onslaught of gale-force winds and lightning. Su Yao felt her supernatural shield gradually weakening under the powerful energy impact. She took out some energy replenishment pills from her spatial storage, quickly swallowed them, and began to restore her supernatural power.

Just then, she heard a muffled roar. Peering through a crack in the ice mound, Su Yao saw a pack of ice wolves covered in black scales running through the storm. Their eyes gleamed with a bloodthirsty light, seemingly searching for prey. Su Yao gripped her weapon tightly, inwardly groaning. Facing these ferocious creatures in this storm was truly adding insult to injury.

The dire wolves quickly spotted Su Yao and surrounded the ice mound. A large wolf king launched the first attack, leaping high into the air and pouncing on Su Yao. Su Yao used her spatial abilities to teleport to the side, simultaneously unleashing a wind blade that slashed the wolf king's hind leg. The wolf king roared in anger, and the other dire wolves joined the attack.

Su Yao skillfully weaved through the attacks of the ice wolves, using her fire powers to create rings of fire around her, temporarily halting their advance. However, the flames in the storm were unstable and were quickly extinguished by the strong winds. Su Yao knew this couldn't continue; she had to find a way to get rid of these creatures.

She suddenly realized that dire wolves' movement would also be affected by the storm, and perhaps she could use this to her advantage. Su Yao deliberately created an opening and ran towards the direction where the storm was stronger. Seeing this, the dire wolves gave chase without hesitation. During the chase, Su Yao seized the opportunity, using her spatial abilities to teleport behind one of the dire wolves, and then viciously stabbed it in a vital spot with her weapon. The dire wolf howled in pain and collapsed to the ground.

The other dire wolves were enraged, but they were somewhat disoriented in the chaotic storm. Su Yao seized the opportunity to continue her attack, eliminating several more dire wolves. Seeing the situation was dire, the wolf king let out a long howl and led the remaining dire wolves in retreat.

Su Yao breathed a sigh of relief, but the storm showed no signs of abating. She struggled across the icy plains, searching for a safe path, when suddenly she noticed a slight depression in the snow ahead, as if something was buried beneath it. Su Yao went over, used her powers to clear the snow, and discovered a metal hatch.

There was a combination lock on the hatch, which Su Yao had the system try to crack. After some effort, the lock was opened, and Su Yao opened the hatch to find a small shelter inside. The shelter contained some basic supplies and equipment. Su Yao entered, temporarily escaping the threat of the storm. She sat in a corner, adjusting her state, preparing to continue her journey back to the safe house after the storm subsided.
