About ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of a large supermarket.

"Aren't we going to the market?" Lin Hu asked Lin Jingyue, who was a little taller than him, with a puzzled look.

"We're going to your grandparents' house on the third day of the Lunar New Year, so we need to buy some gifts and go grocery shopping while we're at it," Lin Jingyue said, linking arms with Aunt Qin as they walked inside.

Lin Hu and Xu Yiling followed the two inside.

The supermarket has already hung up stickers with Chinese elements, such as Chinese knots and small red lanterns, instantly creating a festive atmosphere for the Chinese New Year.

Inside, cheerful music was playing, and many people were pushing carts around. Some of the booths also had signs advertising discounts and special offers.

Lin Jingyue and Aunt Qin went to the fruit section, while Lin Hu and Xu Yiling broke away from the two adults and ran to the toy section.

The two were attracted by the various newly released figurines, but for two fifteen-year-old boys, they could only look and not buy.

Suddenly, a white-haired girl walked up to the two of them and took away all the figurines they were looking at.

The two watched as the figure disappeared around the corner, a back view of someone several years younger than themselves.

Xu Yiling: "Tch, what's so great about it? When I have money, I can buy it too. Then I'll just buy the whole supermarket!"

Lin Hu's first reaction was that the girl was so fair-skinned, unnaturally so, even her skin was fair.

He had seen online that there was a condition called albinism that could cause people to look like that, and that their eyes couldn't be exposed to light.

The girl had her back to them the whole time, so he didn't see her face and didn't know if her eyes were like the ones he saw online—not black pupils.

Lin Hu glanced at the round candies in the transparent box, then looked at the owner of the large hand.
