Chapter 15 Red Brick Factory (14) - Powerful Skills
Ning Shu touched around on the red brick wall, looking for a hidden exit.
She felt that the exit should be similar to when she came in; she couldn't see it, but she could probably touch it. While touching it, she was still distracted and kept an eye on the movements on the other side of the white wall.
"Click click".
Suddenly, the sound of bones moving filled the quiet space.
Logically, such a sound shouldn't travel this far. Perhaps this space has the function of amplifying sounds to create this terrifying atmosphere, or perhaps it's due to Ning Shu's psychological influence.
In short, the moment Ning Shu heard the sound, his hair stood on end.
She slowly turned her head and suddenly understood why the protagonists in those horror movies always had to slowly turn around when they heard terrifying sounds.
Aside from camera movement, some people's bodies naturally perceive that slow motion can alleviate feelings of fear during moments of dread.
There's also the psychological factor that such slow motion can prevent the source of terror from drawing attention.
Ning Shu is that kind of person.
But when she saw the scene where the sound was coming from, countless "Holy crap" thoughts flashed through her mind.
Dozens of burly men with menacing faces rushed toward her, their naked penises swinging wildly. The scene was... indescribable.
Please, no explicit content in this place, thank you!
Ning Shu took off running, but how could she possibly outrun these things?
Seeing that the horde of muscular men was about to pounce on her, she steeled herself, climbed over the railing, and decided to jump into the pool.
Although she wasn't a good swimmer, she could still manage to splash around in the water a few times.
At this moment, Ning Shu was truly panicked and didn't consider the dangers she would encounter if she jumped into the pool.
If the pool is too deep, and she is not a good swimmer, there is a high chance she will drown if she jumps in.
If the pool is too shallow, she would likely hit the bottom if she plunged in from the height of two stories, resulting in either death or serious injury.
The unexpected happened just as she was about to let go and jump. A pale hand reached out and grabbed her shoulder. The hand opened its gaping maw and tried to bite down on Ning Shu's neck.
Sensing the approaching danger, Ning Shu's eyes suddenly became bloodshot, and she could even feel the blood surging through her veins.
Finally, the blood vessels meandered from around the whites of the eyes to the vicinity of the brown pupils, radiating outwards, and then everything happening before my eyes went into slow motion.
She saw the veins on her hands bulging, as if they had their own consciousness, and she grabbed the muscular man's head and twisted it off effortlessly!
Then, instead of falling down the railing, her body went straight up and climbed to the ceiling.
That's right, she seemed to have defied gravity, her limbs "sticking" to the ceiling.
To her, the ceiling was no different from the floor at that moment.
Her knees and hands were pressed effortlessly against the ceiling, and she was completely upside down.
But she didn't feel any discomfort and could even crawl nimbly on the ceiling.
Even though what she had just witnessed made her realize that she was no weakling, she was still so afraid that she quickly climbed forward, away from the railing.
She feels like she has a split personality; her body is telling her she's strong and there's nothing to be afraid of.
But psychologically, she was still afraid of those muscular men, and even afraid of becoming like them.
Ning Shu, who kept climbing forward, didn't notice the muscular men rushing towards her. Some of them saw her reach the ceiling and tried to reach her using the railing, but they accidentally fell down.
Some are completely reckless; they don't even brake when they see the railing, and no matter what, the end result is always a direct fall to the ground.
After a series of "plop" sounds, only silence followed.
The remaining muscular men clung to the railing and roared at Ning Shu. They couldn't speak, so they could only make those unpleasant, hoarse sounds.
At this moment, Ning Shu crawled along the ceiling like a gecko. After passing the glass roof, her eyes were blinded by the light, so she quickly crawled into a darker area.
She soon arrived at the "grids" she had seen earlier—there was no way forward.
She stopped and waited for her eyes to adjust to the darkness before discovering that each of the "cubes" contained a black bag.
The bag is made of black canvas and has a zipper with the zipper pull facing outwards.
The shape made Ning Shu feel uneasy. For some reason, she felt that the bag contained—a corpse.
It's not that she has a vivid imagination; it's just that this shape is so realistic that it's hard to fool herself.
She looked at the rows of boxes; if they were all filled with corpses, the number would be staggering.
Ning Shu also discovered something else: these "grids" were suspended in mid-air, with no ladders or anything like that underneath.
So how exactly were these "things" moved up here? And what is the significance of moving them up here?
She couldn't figure it out, so she stopped thinking about it, because there were already too many illogical things in this godforsaken place, so one more or one less wouldn't make much of a difference.
Where exactly is the export market?
She looked around from this angle but couldn't find an exit. Should she search for it by feeling her way around each place?
Suddenly she froze, because she discovered something chilling.
Her perspective is wrong, very wrong.
Ning Shu is currently "climbing" on the ceiling, so her perspective should normally be upside down, just like how objects are reversed when someone is upside down on the floor.
But her current perspective is exactly the same as when a person is standing on the ground looking at things. What does this mean?
This suggests that her head or neck must have been twisted into some incredible contortion to achieve this effect; she doesn't even dare to look at herself now.
My heart rate increased significantly because of this realization, and my head seemed to be fogged up due to the rush of blood.
She realized something—she might have mutated!
Only in this way could such an unbelievable thing be accomplished.
Ning Shu felt a little disheartened upon realizing this. If she was no longer human, then was there any point in such a struggle?
Ning Shu fell into deep self-doubt, and she even considered giving up. Suddenly, she snapped out of her daze and realized that she had almost fallen for the trap.
Why should she give up? Is she that kind of person? Even if she's a monster now, she has to live on, okay?
This godforsaken place is really messing with people's mentality! Luckily she's smart, otherwise she would have been doomed here.
Once she regained consciousness, she looked around and realized that there really was no door; she shouldn't be unable to get out of here.
Just as she was feeling annoyed, she saw those black bags in front of her, and to be honest, she found them really unsettling.
The contents won't suddenly unzip the zipper and pop out, will they?
Ning Shu began to use her imagination.
Stop! Every time she wants something, it comes true. She's incredibly lucky.
But things didn't go as planned. Perhaps because of the changes in her body, she was able to see everything that was happening in front of her very clearly.
