Upon entering the house, Gu Li was immediately dazzled by its magnificent and religiously-inspired decor. Her expression shifted from astonishment to numbness, before finally settling into an eerie calm.

Without looking to the side, she stepped over a pure gold statue of the Virgin Mary, tilting her head to avoid the cross that jutted out from the side.

The two walked past a long corridor filled with paintings of white eagles and finally stopped in front of a door at the end of the corridor. Jack stepped forward and knocked gently twice.

"Please come in."

Gu Li's eyes flashed with surprise. The leader of the White Eagles was actually a woman. She then followed Jack inside.

Sitting behind the large desk was a young woman in a sharp suit, her black hair neatly combed from front to back and flowing smoothly down her back.

She wore a well-fitting suit with a crisp black overcoat, and her hands, clad in black patent leather gloves, were playing with a photograph.

When the woman saw them come in and put down the photos, she stood up, smiled, and extended her hand to her: "Nice to meet you. I am Caroline, the person in charge of White Eagle."

"Welcome to White Eagle, Miss Gu Li."

Gu Li gazed into her dark pupils, reached out and gently grasped her hand. She asked with certainty, "You recognize me?"

Caroline laughed again, pointing to the table and chairs by the window: "We need to understand things first before you let people into the lair, right?"

Jack vaguely thought that it was a good thing he hadn't succeeded in kidnapping Miss Gu Li and bringing her back, otherwise it would have been very difficult to handle.

Caroline leaned back into the large sofa chair, the red velvet seat perfectly matching her figure: "I heard you brought Joel back?"

Gu Li nodded: "And her child, Georgia."

Caroline was clearly not very concerned about Georgia's situation. She asked about Joel briefly before steer the conversation in another direction.

"I guess you've come here to see someone?"

Gu Li made a puzzled expression without showing any emotion.

His sky-blue eyes stared blankly at the woman opposite him.

Anyway, most of the people she was looking for had already been sent away by Henry. Syed and Alfoseny were capable of protecting themselves, so finding them was only a matter of time.

The woman opposite him, dressed more like a member of the mafia than a religious leader, suddenly smiled, leaned forward, and lifted Gu Li's chin with one hand.

Gu Li calmly met Caroline's gaze.

Gu Li's expression gradually turned serious as she asked Caroline, who had slowly approached from behind, "What happened to them?"
