"Oh, what I mean is, why did Lady Catherine just leave like that without even saying goodbye? We went through thick and thin together!"

Joey didn't mention that he had saved Catherine. This Captain Sauron was no ordinary man; he planned to try and get some information out of him first.

"The situation is quite urgent, and Marshal Kap is temporarily unavailable. To prevent the fortress personnel from leaking information, this is the order I gave!"

Captain Zoro's expression improved somewhat, but he still didn't have a good impression of Joey. After all, Catherine hadn't specifically told him anything, only asked him to pass on a message.

"Lady Catherine asked me to pass on a message to you before she left!"

Upon hearing this, Joey immediately perked up, thinking that Catherine was reliable after all and hadn't forgotten about his payment.

He chuckled, waiting for Zoro to finish his sentence.

"Lady Catherine said that if you want her things back, you have to go to Baron City to find her. She's waiting for you there!"

Zoro's words infuriated Joey. He mentally unleashed every curse word he could think of from his past and present lives, but he was still not satisfied.

"Lady Catherine, didn't you trouble Captain Sauron to pass anything on to me?"

Joey forced a smile and asked Captain Zoro another question gently.

"No!"

Commander Zoro's answer was decisive, completely extinguishing Joey's hopes.

"Damn Catherine, I knew it! You're a traitor, a ungrateful wretch who uses me and then discards me like a dog after I've served his purpose. You don't consider me, Joey Brown, a friend at all; you've completely taken advantage of me and deceived my feelings. You're so wicked..."

Joey couldn't hold back any longer and unleashed a torrent of abuse on Catherine.

"Take it down!"

When Captain Zoro saw that Joey looked dazed and dejected, yet was cursing Catherine, he immediately ordered the soldiers behind him to restrain Joey.

"My gold coins, my reward, and my poor bearded brother!"

Joey did not resist, letting the soldier handcuff his hands behind his back and pull out a rope to tie him up.

Just as Captain Zoro was about to give instructions on how to deal with Joey, a series of knocking sounds came from the walls of the room.

He looked serious and strode into the room.

"Knock knock knock," not long after, the sound of knocking on the wall came from next door again.

"Reporting to Captain Zoro, there is a woman living next door with a baby. She came with Lady Catherine!"

The tall soldier standing at the door explained to Captain Zoro inside the room.

Captain Zoro's expression softened somewhat, and he walked towards the door again.

"Bang—"

Just as Captain Zoro stepped out of his room, the door to the next room was also violently opened.

A young red-haired girl holding a tiny baby appeared before Captain Zoro.
