Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...
The little dumpling hid in the pocket to avoid the rain.
As Qin Luo passed by an inn, a young woman stood at the door and said warmly, "Master Dao, it's getting late and it's raining today. Why don't you stay at the inn for the night?"
"No."
Qin Luo smiled and walked forward.
"Hmph, you poor wretch!"
The young woman deliberately made sarcastic remarks.
Qin Luo didn't pay any attention. The little dumpling in his pocket poked its head out and made a face at the young woman.
"ah!"
The young woman fainted on the spot.
"hey-hey."
The little dumpling returned to its original form.
Clang!
The little dumpling covered its head.
Qin Luo said softly, "She has no manners. Just ignore her. There's no need to scare her."
The little dumpling shrunk into Qin Luo's pocket, giggling, "Boss, you should sit in the main hall of Liuyun Temple."
Qin Luo smiled and shook his head. Just as he was about to leave the ancient town, a girl in a blue dress ran up to him and handed him an oil-paper umbrella. "Taoist Master, this umbrella is for you."
"Need not."
"Thank you for your kindness, young lady."
Qin Luo waved his hand in refusal.
"Master, you should keep it."
The girl in green tossed the oil-paper umbrella to Qin Luo, then turned and ran home.
Qin Luo held the oil-paper umbrella and watched the girl in green return to the Li family. Judging from the grand plaque, they must be a wealthy family in town.
The girl in green stood under the eaves, her eyes bright and her smile amiable.
Qin Luo smiled and nodded at the girl in green. He then opened his oil-paper umbrella and walked out of the town. As he left the town, the sunlight disappeared and mist and rain enveloped the ancient town.
Outside the town.
Qin Luo, holding an oil-paper umbrella, saw a local earth god temple, where deities lived.
Qin Luo lit an incense stick, and a wisp of golden smoke billowed into the earth god temple. After a short while, an old man crawled out of the temple and said in a panic, "Great Immortal, a simple call is enough. There's no need to be so polite."
"Senior, if the Li family in the town ever encounters any trouble in the future, please take care of them."
"Your humble servant obeys!"
Qin Luo left, holding up an oil-paper umbrella.
The rain continued to fall, and the incense outside the Earth God Temple was still burning. The Earth God watched Qin Luo walk away. He recognized the oil-paper umbrella and knew it belonged to Miss Li.
late at night.
In the mountains and forests, a torrential downpour was taking place.
Qin Luo saw a dilapidated temple in the mountains. Inside the temple was a statue of a goddess. He bowed to the statue, lit an incense stick, and placed it in an incense burner full of mud.
"It's no use, the goddess here has long since lost her power." Laughter came from the darkness.
Qin Luo looked at the dark area on the left side of the dilapidated temple, where a white-haired girl sat, adorned with various silver ornaments. "Since we're here, there's no harm in offering our prayers."
The white-haired girl looked at Qin Luo and said, "You don't seem to be a local."
"I come from the North. My name is Qin Luo. May I ask how you are addressed, young lady?" Qin Luo asked with a smile.
"My name is Nanxing."
The white-haired girl closed her eyes after she finished speaking.
Qin Luo did not disturb her rest. He went to the right side of the dilapidated temple and sat down cross-legged.
After a long time, the rain stopped, and the bright moonlight shone into the dilapidated temple.
Nanxing suddenly opened her eyes, and when she opened her hand, a golden Gu worm crawled out of her hand.
The Gu worm was very small and made no sound. It crawled up Qin Luo's Taoist robe. Nan Xing's lips curled up slightly. Just then, a small hand suddenly reached out and grabbed the golden Gu worm and put it into Qin Luo's pocket.
Crunch, crunch.
The sound of chewing could be heard from inside the dilapidated temple.
