I Became a Zombie and Joined a Talent Show Completed

When popular idol Mo Bei, only 23, died unexpectedly in a hijacking, his regret over not holding a concert was so deep that two decades later, he resurrected in a zombie body eerily similar to his original self.

As a zombie, he was not only hampered in movement but would even rot if exposed to sunlight! As Mo Bei pondered his predicament, a system approached him, claiming he could become human again if he fulfilled two conditions.

First, live under the spotlight. This would allow his rigid body to move freely. Second, win the affection of living humans. The more people who loved him, the less his body would rot, making him more like a human.

Moreover, the screams of his fans could suppress the backlash of the corpse poison! To regain his humanity, Mo Bei decided to return to his beloved stage, concealing his zombie identity and reentering a talent show under a new name.

During the initial rating, the host, seeing a contestant with a pale, moon-like face, stiff demeanor, and a striking resemblance to a deceased acquaintance, paused and said, "Contestant, don't be nervous, relax, give us a smile."

Mo Bei (with immense difficulty, he tried to move his facial muscles, forming a stiff, awkward curve on his lips). The atmosphere on site became incredibly awkward.

To avoid suspicion, Mo Bei took a leap of faith: "Teachers, I apologize. I had Botox injections a few days ago, so I can't make big expressions." The host, mentors, and other contestants were shocked, thinking, "Can you really say something like that on a show?!"

During his first stage performance, a lighting malfunction caused his body to suddenly stiffen, completely altering his dance moves. After bravely finishing the act, Mo Bei calmly explained to the bewildered mentors, "This is a dance style I created myself: 'Zombie Punk Popping Style'."

The mentors were speechless. It was the first time they'd heard someone explain a performance error with such fresh and unconventional flair.

After watching the first episode, netizens exclaimed, "What kind of new talent show slacker is this?" His rivals and antis capitalized on this, widely proclaiming, "He had plastic surgery to resemble a senior and leech off their fame, not to mention his terrible skills!"

However, as the competition progressed, everyone realized that his earlier remarks on the show were just jokes, and they had completely misjudged him. He wasn't a slacker; he was a god of the stage!

After entering the competition, Mo Bei was constantly on edge, terrified of exposing his true identity as a former idol and current zombie. Until one day, he unexpectedly discovered that his cold-faced but warm-hearted mixed-race roommate was a werewolf, the arrogant and narcissistic beautiful toxic man was a fox spirit, and the big-eater teenager was actually a Taotie!

So, none of them were human, right? Watching this group of relaxed and laid-back monster contestants in his dorm, Mo Bei felt: Oh, so irritating!

Twenty years later, the world had undergone drastic changes, and Mo Bei the idol had become a thing of the past. Having lost his identity and family, Mo Bei believed no one in this world would remember him.

Yet, on his path to a new beginning, his past fans, former teammates, and friends from the industry appeared one by one, showing him through their actions that even after two decades of separation between life and death, they had never forgotten him.

This is an inspiring (and hilarious) story of an idol who died and became a zombie twenty years ago, now wanting to become human again.

A more serious synopsis:

If a person could be resurrected after death, what would you choose to do? While alive, Mo Bei never considered this question. But now, all he wants is to stand on the stage once more.
