Chapter 17: Tricking Gu Ye into Learning to Cook

"Call me sister-in-law or sister, it's fine. We both have the surname Lin, and we might have even been family five hundred years ago!" Lin Wan has a cheerful personality and is quite interesting to talk to.

"Hello, Sister Lin. You can just call me Bao Ni. That's what my family calls me." Bao Ni said with a smile, without any hesitation.

"Gu Ye, hurry up and buy some food. They have braised pork today, but it'll be gone soon." Xiao Chaoyang came to the cafeteria specifically to eat braised pork.

Gu Ye and Bao Ni perked up when they heard this and quickly went to buy food.

"Two servings of braised pork, three servings of rice, and one serving of stir-fried shredded potatoes." Gu Ye handed over the meal tickets, and then he and Bao Ni carried the food back to Xiao Chaoyang's table.

"Gu Ye, your appetite has increased! And you've grown taller too?" Xiao Chaoyang teased when he saw Gu Ye bring back three bowls of rice.

"Just eat your food. No matter how unwilling you are, you won't grow as tall as me." Gu Ye ignored him and focused on picking on the weak.

Xiao Chaoyang's height is his eternal pain. He stopped growing at 1.75 meters and now he is half a head shorter than Gu Ye, who is over 1.8 meters tall.

Bonnie ignored them and hurried to eat; she was starving.

Even when Bonnie is starving, she won't wolf down her food. She eats in small bites, elegantly, but very frequently!

Before long, half of the meal was eaten.

Lin Wan watched Bao Ni eat and found it particularly delicious, making her wonder if her own food was cooked in the same pot as Bao Ni's.

"What's wrong, Sister Lin?" Feeling someone watching her, Bonnie looked up and asked.

"No, it's just that you look like you're eating really well," Lin Wan explained shyly.

“It’s okay, a lot of people say that,” Bonnie said, and then continued eating.

After Bonnie finished her meal, she divided the other portion in half and put it in her own bowl. Everyone except Gu Ye was extremely surprised.

That appetite is truly impressive.

After finishing their meal, Gu Ye and his friends walked home together with Xiao Chaoyang and his friends.

"Bonnie, my house is across the yard from yours. Come visit sometime," Lin Wan invited.

“Okay, Sister Lin, I’ll go as soon as I’m ready.” Bonnie replied warmly before entering her own yard.

The day passed just like that, and Bonnie was very happy that she could go home tomorrow.
