Two adults and three children squeezed together on one kang (a heated brick bed), and there was still plenty of space left. Fine, let's squeeze in and keep warm.
"Snap... Crash..."
Bonnie was startled awake; the wind outside had picked up again.
"What's wrong? I think I heard the sound of glass breaking."
"It's nothing, it's probably just that the glass in that room was blown off. Don't come down, I'll go take a look."

Bonnie got dressed, grabbed a flashlight, and a salty, fishy smell wafted in as the wind blew into the room through the window.
Bonnie shone her flashlight and saw that the ground was covered in broken glass, and the wind and rain were blowing in.
Bonnie glanced at it and saw it was the same piece of glass that had been cracked before, and she felt relieved.
Gather the things under the window and move them inside so they won't get wet in the rain. Leave the broken glass on the ground; it's dark, so Bonnie didn't touch it. It would be a waste if she got hurt.
Was the glass broken?
"Yeah, there was a crack before, which was blown away by the wind, but everything else is fine. Go to sleep, we don't know what tomorrow will bring!"
After each typhoon, the ground is a mess. We need to conserve our energy and clean up the mess.
The wind blew all night long, and I don't remember when it stopped. I fell asleep after that.
Zhao Yuan heard Bao Ni get up and woke up too. She had slept very hard that night and had a lot of dreams.
Bonnie didn't rush out. She went to the west room first to pick up the broken glass on the floor, because the child would be getting up soon and could easily get hurt.
The ground was wet and muddy, so Bonnie collected it all, mud and water, into a bucket, intending to empty it all out later. After carefully checking to make sure nothing had escaped, she prepared to push open the door and go outside.
