Back home, Ye Linchen put down his bag and took out the "Business Negotiation Skills" book that Gu Jingran had given him.
She opened the book and read it carefully, page by page, occasionally underlining or marking important paragraphs.
Gu Jingran circled the key points in red, and she traced them again in blue.
"Self-introductions should be kept within 90 seconds..."
She muttered to herself as she walked to the bathroom and began practicing her self-introduction in front of the mirror.
She imagined the interviewer sitting across from her, adjusting her expression and tone to appear natural and poised.
She practiced again and again until she could give a fluent self-introduction and confidently answer any questions she might be asked.
After practice, she returned to her room, opened her wardrobe, and her eyes fell on the navy blue polyester coat at the bottom of the box.
This was a piece of clothing that Meng Xueyun had picked out from Meng Zihan's unwanted clothes when she first returned.
Although it was an old coat that someone else had discarded, it was currently her most formal jacket.
She took out her coat, shook out the wrinkles, and held it up against herself.
The clothes are a bit small and feel slightly tight when worn.
Ye Linchen turned around in front of the mirror and sighed.
Once I earn money, I'll definitely buy some new clothes.
After folding the clothes again, Ye Linchen took out her textbooks and began to review her lessons.
She is now a senior in high school, with only four months left until the college entrance examination. Time is tight, and she dares not slack off in the slightest.
After the intense study session, Ye Linchen felt physically and mentally exhausted and quickly fell asleep.
The next morning, Ye Linchen got up, washed up, combed her hair into a high ponytail in front of the mirror, and then put on her navy blue polyester jacket.
It's a bit chilly to wear this coat in this weather, but it makes her slightly childish face look much more mature.
Coupled with her composed demeanor, she doesn't look like a high school student, but rather like a staff member in an office.
She adjusted her collar in front of the mirror and tugged at the hem, trying to make the dress appear longer.
But she quickly gave up because she knew that doing so wouldn't change the length of the garment itself.
Taking a deep breath and smiling at herself in the mirror, Ye Linchen repeated her self-introduction before clenching her fist and encouraging herself.
"come on!"
This is another important battle for her after her rebirth, and it must be fought.
At 9:00 AM sharp, Ye Linchen arrived at Jinqiao Advertising Company.
This company is a subsidiary of Jiangcheng Commercial Daily. It is not a large company, and its office is located on the third floor of the Commercial Daily building.
According to Gu Jingran, the company has only five employees, and the boss's surname is Zhang.
There were quite a few people coming for interviews today. When Ye Linchen arrived, there were already several people standing in the corridor.
There were men and women, around the same age as her, in their early twenties.
A young man in a black wool coat paced back and forth, holding a document in his hand. He would glance down at it every now and then, his brows furrowed, as if he was trying hard to remember something.
A girl with a ponytail next to me was holding a resume, her mouth opening and closing as she quietly recited and practiced her self-introduction.
A few young people huddled together, whispering and discussing amongst themselves, glancing occasionally at the interview office, their faces filled with nervous anticipation.
Ye Linchen noticed that the resumes they were holding were all similar in style and content, and they were all aiming for full-time employee positions.
The base salary for full-time employees is 200 yuan a month, plus commission, so the income is indeed quite considerable. No wonder the competition is so fierce.
Ye Linchen applied for a part-time job, and there weren't many applicants.
After all, part-time jobs offer no pay, and all income has to be earned by oneself, with no security. People tend to prefer stable, formal employment.
The competitive pressure is not as great as that of regular employees.
Thinking of this, Ye Linchen felt a little more relaxed.
Each applicant's interview time was not long, and soon it was Ye Linchen's turn.
As Ye Linchen entered the office, he immediately felt a wave of warmth wash over him, a stark contrast to the cold outside.
She unconsciously relaxed.
The office is quite large, about 20 square meters.
A man in his thirties sat behind the large executive desk.
He looked exceptionally smart, wearing a dark wool suit and a scarlet tie.
A young woman in her twenties, wearing a red wool suit and with shoulder-length curly hair, sat next to the boss's desk.
Her makeup was exquisite, and she wore a faint smile, but her eyes held a scrutinizing gaze.
Hearing the door open, the young man looked up and sharply scrutinized Ye Linchen.
"Please sit down."
He pointed to the chair opposite his desk, his tone indifferent, revealing no emotion.
Ye Linchen nodded politely to the two of them and said softly, "Hello."
He walked to the chair and sat down gently.
Her hands were naturally folded on her lap, her back straight, and her gaze calmly met the other person's eyes.
"This is Manager Zhang. I'm from the company's HR department. My surname is Xu. You can call me Sister Xu."
The young girl introduced herself with a smile, her voice soft and sweet.
"Hello Manager Zhang, hello Sister Xu."
Ye Linchen greeted him again and handed his resume to Manager Zhang.
"Please introduce yourself," Sister Xu said to Ye Linchen with a smile.
Ye Linchen had practiced this countless times, so he could deliver it clearly and fluently without even having to think.
Manager Zhang quickly glanced through the resume, his brow furrowing slightly.
"Miss Ye, are you still in high school?"
He looked up, scrutinizing Ye Linchen.
"Although our company hires part-time workers, the workload is quite heavy."
"Yes, I'm currently a senior in high school," Ye Linchen answered frankly, "but I can balance my studies and work."
"Oh?" Manager Zhang looked at her with a half-smile. "Shouldn't senior year of high school be all about preparing for the college entrance exam? Are you sure you can manage both?"
“That’s why I need this job even more.” Ye Linchen’s eyes revealed a spirit of not giving up. “I can’t rely on my family for tuition and living expenses. I want to adapt to society in advance and prove that I can handle pressure.”
Manager Zhang's gaze lingered on Ye Linchen's face for a few seconds, as if he was pondering the meaning behind her words.
Then, he changed the subject and asked, "So, what do you think our company needs most right now?"
Ye Linchen had seen this question in a book and knew it was a trick question, testing her adaptability and understanding of the workplace.
She quickly organized her thoughts, and after a moment's thought, she answered with a smile.
"Jinqiao Advertising's business is currently stable, but the market competition is fierce. What it lacks most is probably 'differentiated advantage', accurate customer positioning, and flexible marketing strategies."
Upon hearing this answer, Manager Zhang raised an eyebrow slightly, clearly somewhat surprised.
He smiled and pressed on, "Interesting. Suppose you're trying to get a clothing brand to sponsor you, but they clearly say they're not interested, what would you do?"
