Chapter 480 So Greedy

Deputy Counselor Jiang is usually quite self-disciplined. He gets up at six o'clock every morning and runs five kilometers downstairs in front of his apartment building, where he often appears.

The security guards on duty all knew her.

Even when Deputy Counselor Jiang returns late, she always comes back alone, but today she actually brought a man with her.

The security guard on night duty was stunned for a long time.

"And who is this?" the black security guard asked hesitantly, his gaze falling on their clasped hands.

Jiang Ci and Zhou Mingli exchanged a glance, then smiled and said to the security guard, "He is my husband."

The Black security guard was extremely surprised. He went back to the duty room, retrieved the registration book, and handed it to Zhou Mingli.

"Deputy Counselor Jiang, please sign here."

Jiang Ci wrote Zhou Mingli's name and the time he stayed on it.

After the security guards let them through, Jiang Ci and Zhou Mingli entered the apartment building together.

It's already very late, but everyone is used to staying up late, and there are still colleagues downstairs.

Those who knew Jiang Ci were quite surprised to see the tall man beside her.

Then look at their clasped hands.

That's not right.

Didn't Deputy Counselor Jiang get married?

Why would she bring a man here?

The group looked at each other, unsure whether they should go up and say hello.

Some who had worked with Jiangci for a longer time recognized Zhou Mingli and were shocked.

Isn't this Jiang Ci's husband?

What's he doing in New York City?

"Xiao Jiang, what brings your wife to New York City?!"

Someone asked in shock.

Jiang Ci laughed and said, "You can't have come all the way to New York City just to have fun, can you?"

The man then realized what a stupid question he had asked.

He chuckled awkwardly, then suddenly remembered something and said, "I remember your wife is a private entrepreneur. It seems she's making quite a bit of money, which is why she came all the way from Beijing."

Zhou Mingli held Jiang Ci's hand and said slowly, "It's alright. I decided to come here on short notice. Brother Song, is there anything I can help you bring back? I can help, but not too much."

The man's eyes lit up. "That's perfect! Little Zhou, how many days are you staying here? I'll go pack up right away!"

Zhou Mingli said, "I'm leaving next Wednesday."

Zhou Mingli's visa was valid for only seven days.

"good!"

The man patted Zhou Mingli on the shoulder, "Good brother, I'll treat you to dinner later!"

After Zhou Mingli finished exchanging pleasantries with him, several other people came to talk to him, all asking him to help bring some things back to China.

Zhou Mingli agreed, only saying that they should bring less, otherwise it would be overweight.

After finally managing to break free from the crowd, Jiang Ci led Zhou Mingli back to her room.

Zhou Mingli's gaze swept over the area, and he saw everything in a single glance.

It's not very big; it's about the size of a dormitory room that Jiang Ci shared when she was studying at Kyoto University.

There is a separate bathroom and shower room, a single bed, a desk, and a wardrobe.

As soon as Jiang Ci closed the door, Zhou Mingli picked her up by the waist.

His back was pressed against the door.

The longing that poured out was more ferocious than the tide.

Jiang Ci used both her hands and feet, hanging almost entirely on his body.

Zhou Mingli kissed Jiang Ci with extreme force, as if he wanted to dismember Jiang Ci and devour him whole.

His large hand gripped the back of her head, trapping her in a cramped space with a posture that left Jiang Ci no room to escape.

Jiang Ci didn't try to hide either.

For more than a year, Zhou Mingli was not the only one who missed her.

When he retreated slightly, Jiang Ci was even a little displeased and chased after him to bite his lower lip.

"What are you doing?" Her voice was a little hurried and dissatisfied. "I haven't kissed you enough yet."

Zhou Mingli's eyes were filled with a deep color, and he chuckled softly, "It really does taste like oyster soup. How greedy, Jiang Ci."

Jiang Ci blushed slightly and said, "This is a normal need for an adult."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Zhou Mingli tilted his head back and kissed him again.

A lingering and profound French kiss.

Just as Zhou Mingli was about to take things further, Jiang Ci raised her hand and pressed it against his chest. "Go take a shower."

He had been on a plane for thirteen or fourteen hours and smelled terrible. For Jiang Ci to be able to kiss him for so long was already a huge concession.

Zhou Mingli, slightly out of breath, invited her to join him.

Jiang Ci didn't say anything, so Zhou Mingli smiled and carried her to the bathroom.

It was four in the morning when the two of them lay back down on the not-so-large single bed.

Jiang Ci had work in the morning, and since she didn't often stay up late, she had been fooling around with Zhou Mingli for several hours. As soon as she lay down on the bed, she felt sleepy in Zhou Mingli's warm embrace.

"Set your alarm... I have a meeting at nine tomorrow."

She buried her head in Zhou Mingli's chest, feeling its softness, and spoke indistinctly.

Zhou Mingli picked up the alarm clock from her bedside table.

I set my alarm for 8:30 in the morning.

He lay back down, hugged Jiang Ci tightly, fed her red beans, and truly felt her presence before finally falling asleep contentedly.

Although she set an alarm, Jiang Ci still woke up late. When she got out of bed, her legs ached so much that she almost knelt down.

Jiang Ci remained silent, thinking to herself that this was the consequence of indulgence, and then hurriedly dressed and washed up.

He said to Zhou Mingli, who was lying in bed, "You can sleep here and adjust to the time difference. I'm leaving now."

Zhou Mingli was indeed very sleepy. He hummed in response and quickly fell asleep again with his eyes closed.

Fortunately, Zhou Mingli knew she had to go to work, so he didn't leave a mark on her neck.

She skipped breakfast, grabbed the meeting materials, and rushed to the meeting hall right on time.

The minister saw her, nodded, and casually asked, "Has your lover come to see you?"

Jiang Ci nodded calmly.

"Today's work is important, so I'll give you a day off tomorrow. You can take your loved one to see New York City."
