After a moment, Lin Shu leaned back in panic, his cheeks burning.
Han Yan coughed lightly and continued walking forward.
Neither of them spoke after that, but they felt an inexplicable atmosphere around them.
Before they knew it, they reached the foot of the mountain, and Lin Shu asked Han Yan to put her down.
"Really, I'm fine and can walk back." Lin Shu saw Han Yan frowning and looking at her feet, so she jumped a few times on the spot to prove it to him.
Han Yan then looked into her eyes and hummed softly, "Walk slower."
Lin Shu remained silent. She lowered her eyes, her toes involuntarily scraping the ground twice.
After a moment of silence, she mustered her courage, looked at Han Yan nervously, and said, "Just now... me, did you see it?"
Lin Shu's eyes were fixed on Han Yan's face, as if he was waiting for the judgment of death.
After a while, Lin Shu looked at Han Yan's expressionless and silent face, and his heart sank.
When she was about to despair, Han Yan raised his hand and gently placed it on the top of Lin Shu's head, saying softly, "Well, be careful next time and don't tell anyone else."
Lin Shu's eyes slowly widened, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but rise, he suddenly pounced on him and hugged him, humming heavily.
After a while, she felt Han Yan's arms gently around her.
Lin Shu then shyly withdrew from his arms, bent down without raising his head, picked up the medicine basket on the ground, turned around and ran back.
After running a few steps away, Lin Shu turned around and waved to Han Yan, then walked towards the team with a smile on his face and brisk steps.
Han Yan stood there, watching Lin Shu's departing figure with a gentle expression. He had actually noticed something unusual about her when she gave him the medicine that night. But so what?
