As the image of her old room flashed through her mind, Gu Yueji's smile became somewhat bitter. All her memories of her youth had vanished in an instant.
Ren Jin sat on the bed and pulled her to sit on his lap. "The best memories will always be in our minds. We don't need anything else to remember them."
Gu Yueji was taken aback and touched his cheek.

Gu Yueji saw He Mei and Sun Xiaoming exchange a glance. It was clear that Sun Xiaoming knew Ren Jin was here. Were they planning to confront Ren Jin directly? Wouldn't that embarrass him?
Gu Yueji's face grew increasingly grim as she thought about it. She turned and left, intending to go to Ren Jin's room.

As she spoke, He Mei gave Gu Yueji a push from behind. Gu Yueji kicked the threshold and stumbled forward, falling directly into Sun Xiaoming's arms.
Sun Xiaoming could have raised his hand to support Gu Yueji, but he stood still, and the moment Gu Yueji threw herself into his arms, he revealed a smug smile.
Gu Yueji tried to stand up in a panic, but Sun Xiaoming held her so tightly she couldn't move.
"Sun Xiaoming, let me go!" she shouted anxiously, instinctively turning her head to look at her room door.
However, upon closer inspection, I was shocked.
Ren Jin had come out at some point and was leaning against the door frame, looking at her with a dangerous smile.
She shoved Sun Xiaoming away and ran towards Ren Jin.
Just as she opened her mouth to explain, Ren Jin wrapped his arm around her waist, looked down at her with a cold smile, and said, "What? You really got married back in your hometown?"
