"Sis, what brings you here?"
Gu Jiahui and Sun Xiaohui were preparing to start their live broadcast when the doorbell rang suddenly. They were shocked to see Gu Yueji when they opened the door.
Gu Yueji has been suspended from work by Ren Jin and is resting at home due to severe morning sickness.
Gu Jiahui immediately stepped aside to let Gu Yueji in, while looking towards the door, "Where's brother-in-law? Did you come here by yourself?"
Gu Yueji made a shushing gesture to Gu Jiahui, "I came here secretly by myself. I have to go back before your brother-in-law gets home, so don't tell him."
Now Ren Jin is keeping a very strict eye on her, he almost wants to tie her to his belt.
Gu Jiahui sighed and looked at Gu Yueji disapprovingly, "Isn't your brother-in-law afraid that you'll faint from morning sickness like last time? You didn't see it, but his face was pale the whole time he carried you to the hospital. Just rest at home and don't scare him."
Gu Yueji smiled apologetically and with a sense of guilt.
She had severe morning sickness a while ago and couldn't stand many smells, such as oily, sweet, and strongly flavored foods. She would vomit as soon as she smelled them, so she ate very little.
The morning she fainted, she was experiencing severe morning sickness and was in a bad mood. She was also afraid that eating would cause her to vomit even more, so she didn't eat breakfast.
Ren Jin tried to coax her all the way to Gu Jiahui's place with breakfast, but she still threw a tantrum and refused to eat.
Ren Jin was both angry and helpless. In the end, he put the breakfast in front of her and went to the construction site in a huff.
However, no sooner had he left than Gu Yueji fainted while vomiting in the toilet. When she woke up again, she was already in the hospital.

His appearance terrified her, and she instinctively touched her stomach, wondering, "Where's the baby?"
Ren Jin remained silent, only condemning her with his eyes.
Gu Yueji's first reaction was that the baby was gone, and tears immediately welled up in her eyes.
She had been longing for this child for so long, and she had always taken good care of him. Sometimes when she had no appetite, she would force herself to eat little by little. She only indulged herself once, and she never expected it to become so serious.
"Honey, I'm sorry. I won't be willful anymore. Tell me, where's our baby?" Gu Yueji apologized, her voice choked with emotion.
When she cried, Ren Jin couldn't hold back anymore.
He sighed, stood up, and gently hugged her. "Baby, it's okay. Don't cry."
Gu Yueji couldn't stop her tears. "Really?"
"Really, the baby is very healthy."
He cupped her face in his hands, wiped away her tears, and kissed her cheek soothingly, his tone full of helpless affection, "My dear, I beg you, please don't scare me anymore, okay? I've never been this scared in my entire life."
She didn't know how terrified he was to see her lying there unconscious. He recalled the images of his grandparents passing away one after another in their hospital beds due to illness, and the thought that she too would fall ill and never recover. The panic of impending loss made him feel like he was about to collapse uncontrollably. So when the doctor examined Gu Yueji, he told the doctor that if her body couldn't take it, he would not keep the child.
But he didn't dare say this to Gu Yueji, for fear that she would resent him.
Fortunately, the doctor said that Gu Yueji's fainting was only due to some malnutrition and low blood sugar caused by not eating breakfast. As long as she eats well and gets enough sleep, there is no major problem. Therefore, Ren Jin strictly ordered her to rest well at home during this period. Her daily task was to eat her fill, sleep, and then eat again after waking up to replenish her nutrition.
Whether it was the fright she experienced or the medications the doctor prescribed that worked, Gu Yueji's morning sickness suddenly improved a lot after returning from the hospital. She was able to eat again, and the frequency of her morning sickness decreased.
Today was the first time Gu Yueji had sneaked out of the house after lying at home for almost two weeks. She was a person who couldn't stay idle, and she was really bored staying at home all by herself, so she wanted to come and watch Gu Jiahui and the others' live stream.
Gu Jiahui still worriedly reassured Gu Yueji, "Xiaohui and I are already familiar with live streaming. You should stay home and take good care of yourself. We can handle it."
Gu Yueji knew that she hadn't shown her face in the live stream for a long time. Now Gu Jiahui and Sun Xiaohui were able to stand on their own, especially since the couple's products were selling like hotcakes, and their live stream performance had played a significant role in that.
"I have nothing to do at home, and I'm feeling much better now. Don't worry, I've already had breakfast today, and I have cake and milk in my bag, so I won't let myself go hungry. I'll just watch for a while and then go back."
Seeing that Gu Yueji still insisted, Gu Jiahui could not say anything, so he could only bring up Ren Jin, "You should call your brother-in-law first to report, and if he agrees, I will let you stay here."
Gu Yueji sighed helplessly, "I told him your brother-in-law he would definitely let me go back."
Gu Jiahui, however, had no room for negotiation. "If you won't tell me, I will," he said, picking up the phone.
Gu Yueji quickly stopped her, "I'll hit you, I'll hit you."
She can still act cute with Ren Jin on the phone, but if Gu Jiahui were to speak, she could forget about staying here.
Ren Jin answered the phone after it rang twice, "Honey, are you feeling unwell again?"
Hearing his voice tighten, Gu Yueji quickly explained, "I'm fine, honey. I'm not feeling unwell. I just wanted to discuss something with you."
Ren Jin was silent for a few seconds. "What is it?"
Gu Yueji immediately put on a smile and said, "Hehe, I don't have any morning sickness today. I just wanted to come and see how Jia Hui and the others are doing with their live stream."
Ren Jin immediately grasped the key point, "Come over? Are you already at Jia Hui's place?"
Gu Yueji closed her eyes, unsure whether to blame herself for letting something slip or Ren Jin for being too clever. Her tone became even softer, "I'll just watch for a little while. I've had breakfast and my supplements, as you saw. I also brought cake and milk to Jia Hui's place. I promise I won't let myself faint again. Can you just let me stay for a bit?"
