Chapter 20 Is that scumbag you're talking about me?

Didn't she look down on him because he was poor? Shouldn't she be regretting it to death now?

Seeing Ren Jin sitting there lost in thought, Qian Mingjun asked, "Brother Jin, are you bewitched by that girl who splashed water on you? Why are you sitting there without saying a word?"

My friend sitting next to me chimed in, "I think so. His hair looks like a dog's latrine, and he doesn't even bother to fix it. What girl could be so alluring?"

Ren Jin snapped out of his daze, ruffled his hair, and muttered casually, "A woman who only knows how to annoy people." Without letting anyone else ask questions, he stood up and said, "I'm going to the bathroom to look in the mirror."

As I was about to head to the restroom, I overheard the waiters chatting in the food delivery area next door.

Do you remember the man who got water splashed in the private room?

Ren Jin raised an eyebrow and stopped in his tracks.

"I don't remember him. Did he eat here before?"

"I've been here before. Do you remember that time when a woman overheard her boyfriend talking to his friend outside the private room, and you didn't even dare to go in with the food?"

The waiter quickly remembered, "I remember, what's wrong?"

"This guy is that girl's boyfriend. She's the one who just splashed water on him."

"No way?"

"How could it not be? I saw the whole thing downstairs. This guy is a real scumbag. He lied to his girlfriend and his friends before, saying he was just playing around with her. Now he's humiliating her when he sees her on a blind date."

"No way, how could this guy be like this? I saw that woman standing at the door crying, and I didn't even dare to go and call her while I was carrying the dishes."

"So when I saw that woman splash water on him, I felt really relieved."

Ren Jin pushed open the door and walked up to the two waiters in two steps. "Am I the scumbag you're talking about?"

The waiter looked up and saw the people they were talking about right in front of him. Startled, he took a step back and quickly denied it, "No, no, you misheard. We were talking about someone else."

Ren Jin had no patience to listen to their sophistry; he just wanted to know if what they were saying was true.

Her tone was hostile, "You'd better tell me the truth, or I'll go find your manager and have her come and listen to how you're talking about the guests?"

The waiter became even more frightened upon hearing this, "Sir, we were just gossiping in private, we meant no harm, and we didn't tell anyone else."

"You mean last time we came here for dinner, my girlfriend overheard my conversation with my friend?"

Seeing that Ren Jin's face was extremely gloomy, the waiter was afraid that he would really go to the manager to complain, so he nodded timidly.

"Would your girlfriend be very upset if she heard that?"

The waitress could only answer truthfully: "She heard everything you said. She stood at the door with tears streaming down her face but dared not cry out loud. She almost bumped into me when she turned to go to the restroom." Thinking of the scene, although she was very afraid of the man in front of her, she couldn't help but feel a little angry as a woman, "You shouldn't have treated her like that."

Ren Jin immediately turned around and went back to the private room, grabbed his car keys and said, "I have to go first."

His friends were calling out behind him, but Ren Jin ignored them and rushed out of the private room.
