After Li Yunyan arrived, he would still habitually pick up a book after administering acupuncture to him every day.
She leaned over to take a look, but found the book's contents obscure and difficult to understand, so she turned her head away in boredom.
The sweet fragrance at the tip of his nose vanished in an instant, and Sang Shijing's fingers tightened.
He turned his head and looked at Li Yunyan, who was listlessly gazing out the window with her chin propped up, and asked gently, "Dr. Li, are you feeling bored?"
Li Yunyan propped her chin up and looked at him, blinking her watery almond-shaped eyes.
"Ahem! If Doctor Li is feeling bored, I can arrange for a carriage in the manor to take Doctor Li out for a stroll."
"No, I don't know anyone here, and going out to sightsee would be boring!"
He racked his brains and said, "Then, my mother can take you out."
Li Yunyan saw sincerity in his eyes. She knew he genuinely wanted to keep her from being bored, but unfortunately, he had never been out of the house and couldn't offer any advice.
She leaned closer to him. "Besides reading, what else did you do before?"

"Play chess?" Li Yunyan thought for a moment and said, "Shall we play a game?"
After saying that, she took the book from his hand, placed it on the desk, and pushed his wheelchair away.
