Chapter 257 suggests a fierce battle is on the horizon.

"Okay, thank you, Sister Chu Rou!" Zhuang Ling felt that she should go and take a look.

Chu Rou glanced at the time. "Zhuang Ling, I have to go to Elder Bai's for a follow-up appointment this afternoon. Call me if anything urgent comes up."

"Okay, Sister Chu Rou."

Chu Rou stood up. "Nancy, are you going to stay here with Zhuang Ling, or come with me to see a traditional Chinese medicine doctor?"

Nancy stood up as well. "I'll go with you."

Zhuang Ling was disappointed and heartbroken, and the corners of her mouth twitched down.

Chu Rou pinched Zhuang Ling's cheek, "Hahaha, Nancy still likes me the most."

"I will definitely win Nancy over!" Zhuang Ling raised his fist, cheering himself on.

Nancy laughed, and Zhuang Ling clutched his chest, exclaiming dramatically, "Nancy's smile is melting my heart!"

"What a drama queen!"

As Chu Rou spent more time with Zhuang Ling, she discovered that Zhuang Ling had a cheerful and optimistic personality. If Aunt Zhuang hadn't left, Zhuang Ling would probably have been able to live happily every day.

Chu Rou and Nancy went to Old Bai's place together, with Chu Rou only bringing two bodyguards.

The car stopped at the entrance of the alley, and Chu Rou and Nancy walked in.

After examining Chu Rou's pulse, Elder Bai nodded in satisfaction. "Her health has improved a lot. She should be almost fully recovered after another month of medication."

Chu Rou was very happy, "Thanks to Elder Bai's excellent medical skills, Western medicine couldn't find anything wrong with him at all."

Old Bai laughed heartily, stroking his beard as he said, "What Western medicine can detect are already very obvious symptoms."

Chu Rou pulled Nancy over and made her sit opposite Old Bai. "Old Bai, please let my friend take a look too!"

"Can!"

Old Bai placed his fingers on Nancy's pulse, raised an eyebrow, and examined Nancy's face. It turned out she was a girl. He closed his eyes and felt the pulse under his fingers.

After a moment, Old Bai opened his eyes. "This young lady has a weak and feeble pulse, indicating insufficient blood and qi. Has she ever fainted?"

Incredulity flashed in Nancy's eyes. "Yes, I have low blood sugar."

"That's right. This young lady is too thin. She can eat more. I'll prescribe some traditional Chinese medicine for you. Just take it according to the prescribed course of treatment."

After Bai Lao finished speaking, he wrote three medicine names on the prescription and handed it to Nancy. "These medicines can all be bought at the pharmacy. This isn't a serious problem for you. Just be more careful and don't go hungry."

"Thank you!" Nancy took the prescription, folded it, and put it in her pocket.

After thanking Elder Bai again, Chu Rou and Nancy left the clinic.

"Nancy, you are indeed too thin. You should eat more meat to nourish yourself." Compared to Nancy, Chu Rou was all flesh.

Nancy smiled and nodded, but sighed inwardly. She didn't want to be this thin either, but what could she do? At Dream Creek Manor, they weren't allowed to eat their fill, and they had to maintain a slim figure.

She only gets a proper meal when she sees Morrison, so all these years, what she looks forward to every day is seeing Morrison.

The two walked to the entrance of the alley, opened the car door, and got in.

Chu Rou said to the bodyguard/driver in front of her, "Take us back to the company."

The bodyguard didn't say anything, locked the car door, stepped on the gas, and drove off.

Chu Rou and Nancy were chatting casually, not noticing the two people in front of them.

It wasn't until the road became bumpy that Chu Rou realized something was wrong. Why were the roads in the city so uneven?

She looked out the car window; this wasn't the road to the company at all. She patted the front seat and said, "Stop the car! Where are you going?"

The two people in front didn't say a word, they just kept driving and went faster and faster.

Nancy also noticed something was wrong. She looked in the rearview mirror and saw that the two bodyguards in front of her had turned into blond-haired men, who were clearly two American nationals.

She knew in her heart that she had fallen for it again.

“Chu Rou, they are not your people,” Nancy said nervously.

Chu Rou noticed this too. She took out her phone to call Chu Weize, but found there was no signal in the car.

Damn it, they were prepared in advance; they even used signal jammers.

Fortunately, she always kept an iron bar and an electric baton in her car. After the last incident, Mo Chi kept these items in every car.

Chu Rou pulled two small stun guns out from under the car seat, secretly slipped one to Nancy, and gave her a wink.

Nancy saw the object in her hand, found the switch, and waited for Chu Rou to count down with her fingers, three, two, one, before they simultaneously used stun guns to shock the two men in front of them.

After being electrocuted, the two men convulsed and quickly lost consciousness.

Chu Rou put away the stun gun, crawled to the front, stepped on the brake, opened the car door, kicked the two men out of the car, turned the car around, and drove back.

She found the signal jammer, pulled it off, and threw it out of the car window.

He called Chu Weize on his cell phone, "Dad, I've been kidnapped! Send someone to pick me up!"

"Rou Rou, where are you?" Chu Weize was so shocked that he broke out in a cold sweat.

"I'll share my location in a bit, but I can't give you the exact address." Chu Rou didn't recognize the place, so she could only follow the navigation back.

"Okay! Dad will come pick you up right away."

After hanging up the phone, Chu Rou shared her location.

Nancy sat in the back seat of the car, digging her fingernails into her palms, making her fair skin even paler and bloodless. "Chu Rou, I've dragged you down with me. I shouldn't have followed you. It's all my fault."

Chu Rou looked at Nancy through the rearview mirror and said, "How can this be your fault? It's clearly the bad guy's fault. Don't take the blame on yourself."

"Remember when I injured my back? I told you about it. The three of us were surrounded and attacked by more than ten martial arts masters. That was really exciting! This is nothing compared to what I experienced."

Nancy knew that Chu Rou was trying to comfort her, but the more she did so, the more upset Nancy felt.

Fortunately, the two women noticed something was wrong in time, and luckily there were stun guns in the car, which they used to subdue the two men.

If they were taken to a more remote place, how would those people treat her and Chu Rou?

She dared not think about it, not even a little bit.

She herself was no match for anyone else in the world; she had no relatives left, and perhaps only Ivan would grieve and shed tears for her after she died.

But Chu Rou is different. She has so many people who love her and so many people she loves. She can't afford to have anything happen to her.

She could no longer stay by Chu Rou's side; she would only bring danger to Chu Rou. She needed to return to M Country as soon as possible.

While Nancy was still lost in thought, Chu Rou suddenly stepped on the brakes.

The inertia caused Nancy to bump into the back of the seat in front of her. She rubbed her head and sat up. "Chu Rou, what's wrong?"

Chu Rou didn't speak, staring straight at the two cars blocking her way, her palms sweating as she gripped the steering wheel.

The doors of the two cars opened, and seven or eight burly foreign men stepped out. They walked towards Chu Rou's car.

She swallowed hard. "Nancy, a fierce battle may be brewing. Are you ready?"
