Chapter 233 Divine Tree: I Want to Eat Hibiscus Fruit

"Auntie." Su Yuxi's lips twitched slightly, and her soft murmur was swallowed up by the night along with the breeze.

Perhaps finding Ah Zu was her obsession; she could detect even the slightest trace of his presence, even if he was in a deep sleep.

A slight smile appeared on the man's lips as he couldn't help but gently pinch her delicate cheek: "Our little girl has become quite capable; it's almost time for Ah Zu to keep her talents hidden."

"But it's still a little short, Xiaoxi, keep going..."

When Su Yuxi woke up, the words "Go for it!" kept echoing in her ears. She didn't know who said it, but the two words seemed to be engraved in her soul, making her head buzz.

She shook her slightly dizzy head, sat on the bed in a daze for half an hour, and then slowly got out of bed to wash up.

After washing up, she arrived at the restaurant, where a variety of food aromas wafted towards her.

Su Yuxi frowned, her gaze pausing slightly as she looked at the dining table. The table was laden with a dazzling array of dishes, from Chinese steamed buns, fried dough sticks, and soy milk and corn porridge to Western-style dry bread, toast, fried eggs, and bacon... and even exotic croissants, sushi... and refreshing spicy snacks... it was practically everything imaginable, with such a wide variety that it was overwhelming. It seemed like they had gathered all the breakfast options from around the world.

The nutritionist and chef stood in front of Su Yuxi, their faces beaming with joy: "Madam, this is the breakfast we've been researching for a whole day and night. Please take a look and see if there's anything you like. We can then make some minor adjustments to the diet."

They refused to believe that with so many choices, they couldn't find something the lady would like to eat.

Looking at their red eyes and slightly haggard faces, Su Yuxi felt a little guilty, because her problem had prevented them from getting any sleep.

"Thanks for your hard work."

"It's alright, this is what we should do."

"Madam, please..." The nutritionist pulled out a chair for her and politely invited her to sit down. The chef thoughtfully set out the tableware for her, and the two of them waited for her to sit down, one on each side.

Su Yuxi cleared her throat and walked over to sit down.

She picked up her chopsticks and looked at the crystal cake in front of her, which was crystal clear. A beautiful flower was carved in the center of the cake. A faint fragrance wafted into her nose. Just by looking at it, she could tell that the cake was very chewy and refreshing.

But she hesitated to reach for it with her chopsticks.

The chef understood and immediately took the dish away.

The next dish was a small, thumb-sized, milky-white honey cake, garnished with a few osmanthus flowers. The delicate fragrance of osmanthus combined with wild honey made it smell delicious.

But Su Yuxi frowned.

The chef immediately moved the dish away.

Among the many dishes, the nutritionist chose a deep red cream, and as soon as Su Yuxi got close, she could smell a strong hawthorn aroma.

Hawthorn is commonly used to aid digestion, making it ideal for people with poor appetites.

But Su Yuxi still pushed him away.

"The flavor is too strong, I don't want to eat it."

"This..." The nutritionist and the chef exchanged a helpless look. If it weren't for their status, they would have said, "Why is this lady so difficult to please?"

The two men gave a wry smile: "Then, Madam, please take whatever you like to eat."

They said no more, stepped aside, and watched quietly.

Su Yuxi sighed almost imperceptibly, wondering why she had suddenly become a picky eater.

She stood up from her seat and slowly walked around the long table, glancing at everything in a blur.

In the end, she didn't touch anything on the table, but instead turned to look at the two food experts who looked distressed.

"I want to eat hibiscus fruit."

The two experts looked bewildered: "What kind of fruit is hibiscus?"

They had never heard of it.

Su Yuxi recalled for a moment in her mind and gestured with her fingers: "A hibiscus fruit is a hibiscus fruit, a fruit that grows under the hibiscus tree. It is small and red, like a small lantern, and it glows at night. It tastes sweet and cool."

"There are many results..." Her words trailed off, as it was inappropriate to tell them what followed.

"Anyway, I love eating hibiscus fruits, so go and find some for me."

The two looked at each other again, having lived for so long without ever having heard of what a hibiscus fruit was.

But since the host wanted to eat, they had no choice but to agree and go look for more later.

Su Yuxi ultimately didn't touch any of the food on the table. She didn't feel hungry and had no appetite for these things.

She lay back down on the sofa, exhausted, waiting for them to find the hibiscus fruit.

The chef and nutritionist also sought help and asked questions within their own circles.

But no one had ever heard of hibiscus fruit.

Some people found several kinds of fruit according to their requirements, but none of them were what Su Yuxi saw.

Just when they were in despair, someone in the group mentioned hibiscus fruit.

He said that the hibiscus is a very ancient tree, usually growing in pairs from the same root. It flowers once every five hundred years, bears fruit once every five hundred years, and matures once every five hundred years. To get a single fruit, one would probably have to sacrifice the lives of more than ten generations.

I've heard that eating it can grant you transcendence, immortality, and eternal youth.

When the nutritionist and chef saw this introduction, they were both shocked. Did such a fruit really exist in the world?

If that were true, wouldn't all those wealthy people live to a ripe old age?

So the person added at the end, "This is the hibiscus fruit described in ancient mythology."

That means it's fake.

The two were immediately deflated, feeling both angry and amused. They wanted nothing more than to drag out the storyteller and beat him up, for giving them hope only to leave them in despair.

Even by nightfall, the chefs still hadn't found the hibiscus fruit.

Su Yuxi refused to eat anything except mutter about hibiscus fruit.

Fortunately, the big boss didn't call back to ask, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to explain themselves at all.

Su Yuxi hadn't eaten anything all day, but her mood wasn't affected. The discomfort she felt from yesterday's change in environment seemed to have completely disappeared overnight.

She was no longer in a bad mood, so she waited patiently and patiently for Fu Huaijin to call her on video. She was sure she could talk things out properly tonight and not argue.

Then she stared at her phone and waited and waited until eleven o'clock, but there was still no video of that man. She couldn't help but wonder if she had been too fierce yesterday and scared him.

She stared at her phone screen, pouting her lips: "You stingy little thing."

Since that's the case, she should take the initiative and make a video call.

Su Yuxi cleared her throat slightly and pressed the call button. She had already corrected her attitude, thinking that she would apologize for her unwarranted temper yesterday and then tell him that if he was busy, he didn't need to rush back.

However, the call didn't connect after the video call ended.

Su Yuxi immediately wilted.
