"Does a gauze dress come in so much fabric?" Xiao Chen wondered.
Upon closer inspection, there was also a pair of delicate little sandals, lying askew, with one lone in the middle of the railing in a recess in the carpet, its toe slightly sunken into the carpet.
The other one? Xiao Chen's gaze followed the carpet and she was surprised to find it resting on the edge of the right-hand railing. That spot? She remembered watching videos of dance students training their thigh flexibility; dance students were indeed different, their flexibility must be incredible.
Xiao Chen composed herself and began to tidy up. She picked up the gauze coat, revealing what was underneath.
A cold, hard, and expensive men's belt lay casually beneath the gauze dress, while black suit trousers were piled up next to the belt.
When Xiao Chen saw the man's clothes, she understood what was going on and said, "Why is it in such a mess?"
She also picked up the suit trousers, and at the bottom were the girl's small clothes. The soft light pink color looked particularly glaring and fragile against the cold, hard belt and dark trousers.
Xiao Chen's face flushed instantly. She grabbed the pink dress in a flustered manner, her fingertips feeling as if they had been burned. Was the composed and well-dressed man who had just left home so impatient last night?
People with tainted thoughts see everything in a distorted light.
What was originally just an ordinary dance studio with traces of dance practice has quietly changed its atmosphere in Xiao Chen's eyes.
The smell in the air seemed to have changed as well.
It's no longer the orange blossom scent commonly found in apartments, but a sweet and warm fragrance that softens your heart.
The fragrance was subtle and refreshing, but at that moment it only made Xiao Chen's heart race and his breathing become difficult.
Her aunt mentioned that the young lady had a special body fragrance. Could this be it? And it seems to be stronger than usual?
She suppressed her embarrassment and continued tidying up, her gaze shifting to the huge floor-to-ceiling mirror wall.
The thick velvet blanket in front of the mirror was in a terrible mess, with deep marks indicating that it had endured a lot of force.
On the carpet lay a dark gray men's shirt, several buttons undone, the collar noticeably wrinkled, as if it had been ripped off and thrown away. Beside it lay the inner dress and lining straps of a courtesan's costume, the hem bunched up and crumpled.
The thick fleece blanket had knots in the middle of some of the marks, and not far away there were various wrinkles left from being scratched and twisted.
Xiao Chen didn't dare to look closely. She had bad feelings about everything she saw. What if the young lady was just practicing dance normally? She shouldn't make malicious assumptions.
She quickly picked up the scattered clothes and categorized them, holding them in her arms.
She hurried out of the dance studio as if fleeing, gently closed the door, leaned against the cold door panel, and let out a long sigh of relief.
That thick blanket will probably need to be taken to the dry cleaners; she should wash the two owners' clothes first.
Is this how the rich live? And if my guess is true, why does the male homeowner still look so energetic today? Isn't he tired?
You're probably overthinking it. This chapter has been read (please click to continue reading the next chapter!).
