Chapter 17 Su Mei has something in her palm

"What a beautiful blue cat!" Su Mei exclaimed as she saw the little prince peeking out from Wan'er's arms. She stood up and stared at them with wide eyes.

Her fair fingers sank into the blue fur, a dreamlike beauty. Like a noble fairy, carrying her mythical beast, she gracefully approached.

At that moment, Wan'er didn't notice that Su Mei's clenched right hand was trembling slightly. She slowly raised her arms and reached out to the little prince, seemingly afraid to get close, yet eager to do so. "Let me, let me hug him."

No, there's something in her palm. What is this woman up to? The little prince's eyes widened, and his ears perked up.

Wan'er stretched out her arms, preparing to hand the little prince to Su Mei.

"Meow!" A chill flashed in the little prince's eyes. He suddenly straightened up and bared his teeth, growling at Su Mei.

This was completely unexpected. "Ah!" Su Mei cried out in fright, plopping back down on the sofa. At the same time, her eyes widened in fear as she warily looked at the little prince. "Wan'er, he's so fierce!"

"No way, he's always been docile. You're just being too nervous." Wan'er disagreed, thinking Su Mei was making a fuss over nothing.

"Don't come near me!" Su Mei quickly moved to the side, waving her hands frantically, "It will bite me."

“Su Mei, he won’t.” Wan’er sat down on the sofa.

"Look at him, he's really fierce." Su Mei pitifully hid at the other end of the sofa.

Su Mei is good in every way, except she's too timid. Wan'er sighed, looked down, and saw that the little prince's eyes were indeed much sharper than before. She reached out and pressed his ear, scolding him, "Little prince, what are you doing?"

The kitten instantly lost its aggressiveness.

"He's just shy around strangers," Wan'er explained.

"What? He, he just now..." Su Mei felt wronged but didn't know where to begin.

“Little Prince, listen to me.” Wan’er placed the kitten on her lap, holding one of its front paws, and patiently explained, “She is Su Mei, my only best friend. You can’t be so rude, and you can’t treat her like this.”

The little prince twitched his beard, looked up at Wan'er, and seemed to understand her words. After a moment, the sharpness in his eyes gradually faded, and his perked ears softened.

"How about this, I'll treat you to a meal, and you can take the initiative to make up with her, okay?" Wan'er looked at the kitten gently and asked again.

"Do you think he understands human speech?" Su Mei sneered. Wan'er is really something, talking to a cat...

Wait! What is he doing...?

The next second, Sumi was stunned by the kitten's behavior. Sure enough, the little prince stretched out one of his paws towards her.

"He really understood?" Su Mei was dumbfounded by what she saw.

"What do you think?" The little prince's performance made Wan'er feel a surge of pride. Actually, she had only been testing him, but she hadn't expected the little prince to actually understand. Wan'er couldn't help but exclaim—What a clever cat!

No wonder his former master locked him up with an expensive piece of jade.

"This cat!" Su Mei gasped, her eyes sharpening as if something had changed instantly. She reached out and grasped the kitten's paw. The two of them stared at each other.

"Meow!" The kitten raised its head and meowed, then suddenly pulled its front paws back...

"Ouch!" With Su Mei's scream again, "Pfft!" something slipped from her palm.

Su Mei looked flustered. When she looked up and saw that Wan'er was looking at her, she hurriedly bent down to pick up the things on the ground.

Wan'er bent down before him...
