An Ci said, "Come here quickly, I'll open the door for you."
The corners of Shen Mo's eyes curved beautifully, "Okay."
He grabbed a down jacket and put it on. Suddenly, he thought of something. He walked to the desk, opened the drawer, took out a red envelope and put it in his pocket.
Downstairs, the living room was brightly lit.
Shi Che was lying on the sofa watching a movie with a bottle of red wine on the table in front of him.
Hearing footsteps, he turned his head and looked over. Seeing the coat on Shen Mo, he raised his eyebrows and asked, "Where are you going?"
"Baby, let me pass." Shen Mo's voice rose slightly, and he was obviously in a good mood.
Shi Che was originally worried that he was in a bad mood, but now it seems that he was worrying too much.
He waved his hand and said, "Go ahead."
Shen Mo opened the door and left. Shi Che heard the door closing, reached out to pick up the wine glass and took a sip, a relieved smile on his face.
Brother and sister-in-law, you can rest assured. Xiao Mo is doing well now.
Shen Mo braved the wind and snow and walked to Villa No. 2. As he approached, he found that the door was open.
He was slightly stunned.
The next moment, he saw a furry little head poking out from behind the door, and the beautiful peach blossom eyes looked at him brightly, "It's so cold, come in quickly."
Shen Mo smiled unconsciously, shook off the snow on his body, and walked quickly into the house.
The living room was quiet, everyone else had gone to bed.
An Ci closed the door carefully, sighed, and looked at the bookcase.
Then he pulled him upstairs.
Even though he had just come in from outside, his palm was as warm as ever. The faint warmth kept passing into her hand, and An Ci unconsciously clenched it.
Shen Mo looked at her and asked softly, "Why haven't you slept yet?"
He couldn't walk fast because of his foot injury, so An Ci slowed down his pace and blurted out, "Waiting for you."
Shen Mo was stunned and held her hand tightly.
The two walked into the room, An Ci closed the door, and pushed him to sit on the sofa.
"Wait here for me." Then she ran into the cloakroom.
Shen Mo looked confused, but before he could ask, An Ci ran out of the cloakroom holding a paper bag.
Shen Mo looked at the paper bag in her hand and asked in confusion, "What is this?"
An Ci didn't answer, put the paper bag on the table, and then took out a cake from it.
Shen Mo stood there in a daze.
The four-inch cake was made very delicately, with a cartoon little boy on it. He was wearing a white sweatshirt and black trousers, and you could tell it was him at a glance.
An Ci looked at the cake and frowned, "Ah, it's melted a little."
This is an ice cream cake. The heater was on in the room, and the cake has melted a little because it has been left out for too long.
An Ci quickly took out a candle from the bag. It was a pink number 8.
She lit the candle, then took out the lighter, which was snatched away by Shen Mo.
He said, "Children should not play with fire."
An Ci said helplessly, "Hurry up, the cake is starting to melt."
Under her urging gaze, Shen Mo lit the candle, and the flickering flame was reflected in the eyes of both of them.
A warmth grew in his heart, spread to every part of his body, and warmed Shen Mo's heart.
He looked at her straight in the eye. "When did you prepare this?"
No wonder she kept asking him whether he would come back in the evening and when he would come back. It turned out that she had prepared a surprise for him.
"I ordered it yesterday." An Ci held his chin with his hands, his eyes curved into crescent shapes as he smiled. "I secretly went to the door to get it while they were setting off fireworks, without them noticing."
When she smiled, Shen Mo followed suit, "But didn't I tell you that I can't..."
"But I want to give it to you." An Ci interrupted him.
After he said that he didn't celebrate his birthday that day, she secretly asked Shi Che the reason. He said that Shen Mo didn't celebrate his birthday because his parents were no longer around, so he felt there was no need for him to celebrate alone.
She said word by word, "Brother, happy birthday."
"I wish you become more and more handsome and happier." When she said the last part, she was the first to laugh.
Shen Mo's eyes were hot and his throat was a little blocked, and he couldn't speak for a while.
"What are you standing there for? Make a wish and blow out the candles." An Ci urged softly.
Ever since his parents passed away, Shen Mo no longer believed in making wishes, but when the little thing in front of him looked at him with those starry eyes, he couldn't help but soften his heart.
Shen Mo lowered her head, closed her eyes, clasped her hands together and made a wish, and soon she opened her eyes.
"What wish did you make?" An Ci asked curiously.
Shen Mo reached out and rubbed her head. "Didn't they say that wishes won't come true if you tell them out loud?"
"Who said that? A wish will only come true if you speak it out loud. Maybe I can help you realize it." An Ci coaxed.
However, this excuse could only fool Eric, but Shen Mo would not be fooled.
He looked at An Ci steadily, his tone meaningful, "Really?"
An Ci felt guilty when he looked at her, so he changed the subject, "The candles haven't been blown out yet, hurry up and blow them out."
