Chapter 34 Another kiss later

Chapter 34 Another kiss later

Not long ago, when Gu Heng was protecting Chu Xiang from a car that suddenly rushed out, the back of his hand brushed against the wall, causing a cut and a faint trace of blood to seep out.

Gu Heng didn't think there was anything wrong with a small wound; such a minor cut would heal in a few days.

Just like when he was little, he fell off the swing and scraped his knees and bled. His grandfather just told him that he wanted to play on the swing himself, that it was his own choice, so he should bear the consequences.

Later, his mother brought his younger brother to visit him at the old house.

The mother held her sickly younger brother, her face full of heartache, and said to him, "Aheng, look how strong your brother is. He had a cold and needed to get a shot, but he didn't cry at all. He even insisted on coming with me to see you. Aheng, you must take good care of your brother in the future."

Wearing his elementary school uniform, Gu Heng sat obediently on the sofa. The scars on his knees, which could not be covered by his school uniform shorts, were visible. However, his mother did not notice that he had also been injured. She only kept telling him how sensible and obedient his younger brother was.

In Gu Heng's memory, he had also seen Gu Jue cry loudly because of taking medicine or getting injections. At this time, his mother would be especially nervous, holding her crying son with heartache, and blaming the nurse who gave the injection for being too rough.

At that time, Gu Heng probably didn't have much emotion. He just told himself that he wouldn't cry because of injections and medicine, so his mother wouldn't hold him in her arms and comfort him like she did with her younger brother.

There's nothing to envy about this kind of thing.

Gu Heng's eyes flickered slightly as his gaze fell on the girl's face. She was holding his injured hand and examining it closely, her delicate brows furrowed as if the scratch on his hand were some kind of fatal wound, worthy of her time.

Chu Xiang suddenly felt that she was still not satisfied with hitting the man earlier. She pursed her lips and said, "He should really be thrown into the sea!"

Gu Heng took her hand and easily enveloped it. He didn't care about the slight pain from the small scratch, but gently called her name, "Xiangxiang".

Chu Xiang looked up.

He leaned down, his dark eyes curving slightly, a smile playing on his pale lips. Unconsciously, his husky voice carried a hint of coaxing, "Shall I kiss you?"

Chu Xiang glanced around and saw that no one was passing by in the stairwell. So, she immediately jumped up, wrapped her arms around his neck, and said with a smile, "Give me a kiss."

Having received her permission, Gu Heng felt like a knight who had received a royal decree. He lowered his head, and as the girl leaned against the wall, he touched her lips.

She was very obedient and cooperative.

Thinking back on it carefully, it seems that from the very first time they met, she never rejected his approach.

Her lack of rejection and resistance, this kind of favoritism that seems to allow him unlimited indulgence, easily makes one want to take advantage of her.

Following his instincts, Gu Heng tried to be as unrestrained as he was in his dream, pressing her back against him with his hands and coaxing her to open her mouth with a gentle voice, trying to capture her breath more deeply.

In the dimly lit stairwell, the man's tall figure, bending down, enveloped the girl's small shadow, his movements extremely gentle.

However, if a third person were standing here, they could sense from an outsider's perspective that he seemed to be gently holding the girl in his arms. Yet, beneath the cuffs of his suit, the exposed veins on his wrist, adorned with a watch, and the back of his hand clearly hinted that he was enduring something like a wild beast.

The little girl in his arms looked more like a poor, ignorant lamb being kept in a pen by wild animals.

In the restaurant's private room, the waitress arranged the exquisitely plated dishes, said "Please enjoy your meal," and then left the room.

Gu Heng moved all the meat dishes in front of Chu Xiang. Of course, he arranged each dish on the table symmetrically. He had a band-aid on his hand, which Chu Xiang had insisted on dragging him to buy. The band-aid had a childish cartoon drawing on it, which didn't match his image at all, but she liked it anyway.

After having eaten with Chu Xiang a few times, Gu Heng had already discovered that Chu Xiang was an absolute carnivore, and besides meat, her favorite food was probably sweets.

Chu Xiang was happy to see the meat, but when she saw the bowl of carrot juice that was placed in front of her, she immediately became unhappy.

Seeing her staring at the carrot juice with a bitter expression, Gu Heng asked gently, "Didn't you finish it all last time?"

Chu Xiang said directly, "That's because we weren't familiar with each other back then. I drank it to give you face."

Gu Heng chuckled, "I see. I am truly flattered that Miss Chu would give me face."

The longer Chu Xiang spent with Gu Heng, the more she realized that he wasn't as cold and unapproachable as the outside world said. At least he would joke with her. Chu Xiang moved the carrot juice in front of him, "You know perfectly well that I don't like drinking this. I don't want it."

Gu Heng said, "I'm considering whether or not to order dessert after the meal."

Chu Xiang's eyes lit up.

Gu Heng picked up the spoon. "Xiangxiang, just drink half. I'll finish the other half, okay?"

Chu Xiang took the spoon without hesitation and said with a smile, "Okay."

She has poor eyesight and should eat more vegetables, but knowing that is one thing and actually eating it is another. Since no one is supervising her, she does whatever she wants, but now the situation has changed.

When Gu Heng took the carrot juice she had left without any hesitation, Chu Xiang belatedly realized that her boyfriend was like a father figure to her.

Gu Heng noticed her gaze and touched the glass of lemonade next to him. It wasn't so cold anymore, so he picked it up and placed it in her hands.

Chu Xiang took a sip of the fairly cool lemonade and breathed a sigh of relief.

Gu Heng took out a tissue and wiped her mouth. "You're not allowed to drink anything too cold in the future, especially in the morning. You can't eat anything cold on an empty stomach."

Chu Xiang lazily leaned against him, raised her little face, and said with a smile, "You really look like a father who worries about his daughter."

Gu Heng's expression remained unchanged. "If you want me to be your father, that's not impossible."

She leaned against him as if she had no bones, as if she could slip and fall at any moment. Gu Heng supported her waist with one hand, lowered his head, and asked softly, "Does your tongue still hurt?"

A blush suddenly appeared on Chu Xiang's face.

That one sentence alone wouldn't have been enough to make her blush, but then his previous sentence said he could be her father.

He's quite the player.

Looking at Gu Heng, Chu Xiang felt more and more that this well-dressed man had the air of a refined scoundrel.

Gu Heng smiled and pulled the bow tie on the neckline of her dress to the same length on both sides. Then he put his hand down, as if he only intended to help her straighten her clothes and had no intention of touching anything else.

Such upright conduct is truly gentlemanly.

He kept looking at her, his gaze gentle. "Would you like to kiss me again later?"

Chu Xiang raised her hand to cover her face.

The way this man asked for a kiss while looking so serious created a stark contrast that was strangely erotic.
